So you want the Vikings to go 14-2?

I want the Packers to go 16-0, same as any year.

I said cheer against Favre for 'at least two games', so if the Packers happen to lose a couple of games and go 14-2, then I'd be shooting for 13-3 for Favre. If the Packers go 2-12 I want Favre to go 1-15. If the Packers pull a Detroit and go 0-16, then I want Al Qaeda to bring down the Metrodump.
Ok. So, I just have to chime in here...as a Vikings fan....

So, First, what I am hearing is that you're 'god' signed with the enemy. Fair.

Second, most Packer fans hate this thought. Fair.

Third, everyone wants your defense to hurt him. Fair.

Fourth. Favre knows what he's doing. Doesn't mean he'll make all the right decisions. But, basically speaking, he knows what he's doing.

Fifth. You want him to hurt by your defense. Fair.

Sixth. Favre will see the blitz coming. He will. 18 years will do that to you in the same job.

Seventh. The Vikings offensive line isn't bad. It's not. Best RB in the league last year with everyone stacking the box tells you something.....

Eigth. Now we get all those 'fake' roughing the passer calls for us instead of against us. Refs telling the QB the clock is running out, The refs doing a measurement on 4th and 4 with no timeouts and it's clear there it is not a 1st down, but with no timeouts left..... Gain.

Ninth. Best RB in the league

Tenth. Best Running defense in the league.

Eleventh. No one knows what Percy Harvin brings. But, he has ALOT of potential.

Twelvth. Adrian Peterson. Still need to worry about him.

Thirtenth. Defensive front four. Make fun of it all you want. But, it's pretty good.

Fourtenth. Percy Harvin. No one knows, but he all accounts are, he's got potential.

Sixtenth. Raji? We'll put Hutch on you.

I mean this could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on.....

It's a great day!!

Not trying to rub it, but c'mon dude....gotta admit....

Vikings are in a world of hurt and they don't even know it.

I call bull$hit on all that. I think Favre said he'd love to be a Viking, but wanted nothing to do with the dorm life of training camp. Seeing how easy Chilly will bend over for this guy, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this deal was in the works when Brett "stayed retired" in July.

I believe nothing from either of these assclowns.

I think a few people in the NFL knew this was coming even after Favre said he wouldn't come back. The Jets returned that 7th round pick to get them off the hook if Favre signed with the Vikes.

...admit what? That you just singed a 40 year old QB that throws alot INT's, has no legs anymore and still has a tear from that torn cuff still?

Did you not watch a single Jets game last year?

It's been funny watching Viqueens thinking that they are getting the '97 version of Favre. You're not, and will soon find that out. Just like the Jets fans did.

incorrect, and not even close. This was already dicussed in a few threads here. Returning that pick had nothing to do with the "poison pill" clause in that contract.

Don't need a Favre from '07. Just need someone who lines up and can see the front and make a decision. "Do I hand off ot the best RB in the league, or do I make a quick dump pass for a first down?"

Vikings didn't have that last year.....
Even with Favre so 'bad' the Jet still won 9 games and before he got injured he was the toast of NY because he had them coasting toward the division title.

It will be the same thing with the media this year. They will be apologizing to him when the Vikings have a hot start, and then when they bow out of the playoffs they media will be back to bashing him. We have seen the cycle the last several years.

You forgot one.

17. Coach Kick Ass.

Yup, game, set, match.

You got me there. He is a dumbass.

Can Favre overcome that at the line and change CKA's decision? That's what I am banking on....... Favre is not stupid. 18 years in the league at the same position will do that to a person....

Vikings don't have the Jets defense. And, Favre never wanted to be there in the first place.

Here, he does want to be here. Big difference.

nope incorrect also. They were flamming him quiet well out in NY after a few of those losses. Especially earlier in the year.

Love how you slurpers come up with these complete bs lies.

If you've ever watched Brent then you should realize you're not getting that QB.

(For our friend, someone please post the end zone angle shot of Brent lofting it to Driver for the interception at the end of the '08 championship game rather than "a quick dump pass" to the wide open Grant. Or the air ball int to close the Eagles' semi-final. Brent suffers from brain deadness when the team needs him most. Case closed.)

Don't buy it.

Anyone who lines up at the same position for 18 years in the same job knows what he is doing. And to quote "Bear In Desert". Bear Down.

Do the job for 18 years and let other people say you don't know what you are doing. Really????

That's a lot of repeats. Let's break it down more logically. The Queenies have one indisputably great player on offense, and one very good player on defense. They have one top-level OL and one ascending LB in Greenway. Brent is washed up, as you'll soon see, and you'll need to put the Williams sisters in as a question mark since they won't be able to juice this year.

The bottom line is a horrible, horrible coach, and an OC who 'provided' Brent with his worst years of his career when he was his QB coach, and said QB has already pissed all over whatever shred of credibility remained is what's left after what's mentioned above. I've said before that if a competent coach ever got a hold of that team and its skill set, the Queenies could actually end their expansion team era at 50 years even, as those decent players would become very good players.

That's all fine and good that Queenie fans are feeling good right now, but I personally cannot wait to watch this season for just one more reason that was added to the list today.

Irrelevant. He knows what he is doing as a QB. How long have you been doing your same gig? Would it bother you if someone said that you do not know what you are doing? Really?????

I deal with punks like that all day long. I know what I'm doing. Piss off. Doesn't matter what the job is.....
One thing this whole fiacso reminds us of is the danger of unabashed hero worship. Most all of us here, myself included, up until a couple of years ago believed the Favre persona because "he was one of us" and was such an accomplished athelete on the field. Guess what! All of our heroes have feet of clay.
In time, we will look back fondly on 16 years of (mostly) great football, but we probably will never quite buy the package so completely from another "hero" again

The Jets needed to free up any conditions on their first round picks so they could trade 2 #1 picks for the Sanchez pick. The deal was cut at the draft and announced months later.

Does your job involve getting yourself into top physical condition? Knowing what to do and being able to do it are two very different things, as I'm sure you already know, of course. He knew what he was doing last year as well, and only led the league in INT's. Again. You have no idea what you're in for. We do based on painful memories. You're likely in store for another chapter.

It's not a question of knowledge. It's about his eroded skills. He's 40, you'll learn what we already know.

You should sign Ed Marinaro back and cut AP. He's gotta be AWESOME by now!

Yeah, you could see it in his eyes with the way he practiced in OTAs and training camp.

FACT - Favre has had one really good year in the last 4. That year was the one year he worked hard in the offseason, attended all the practices, all the camps, had a trainer, etc.

Problem there is "Do you know who is not good?" AD, not AP, he is the best RB in the league. Everyone LOVES watching him run.

Except, when Al "grab 'em" Harris is hitting him in the blindside in the left knee on a cheap shot to take him out.

C'mon, you can't admit that AD is the shiznit???

Really???

So, if you are the QB, then the question is... "Do I hand off to AD, or carve these guys up? Because I know that they know that I have AD behind me?"

Yeah, and that damn bastard on the grassy nole. Sum biches...

Tell me I am wrong???

I keep hearing that AD is sooo injury prone. Really? What injuries has he had other than Al "grab 'em" Harris hitting him on the blindside in the left knee?

Wait, let me hit you on a blindside with a shovel to the head and say you are 'ingury prone'..........

Really???

Al has been gettin away with that for YEARSSSSSSS!!!
