He buys out Mark Murphy and is the president of the Packers.

He may end up working for Bobby Jr
Imagine what it will look like when a HC or OC tells AR to "do it the way I showed you". If AR pushes back, I can hear him being told "your way did not work in NY or you would still be there - now shut up and do what I tell you". He may not make it past day 1. Instant retirement will be highly probable at that point.
If Rodgers were willing to be something closer to a game manager he would still be excelling, but his ego won't allow that. The ego that once drove him and made him unstoppable is now the thing ensuring his failure.

Saleh is probably laughing his ass off at the moment. Yes he’s a bit of a meathead, but the Jets are a complete disaster from the owner all the way down to the water boy.
And the Bears can't even compete with the Jets, and their franchise disaster. Can't the Bears be number 1, in anything???
How banged up is Aaron Rodgers? It’s hard to say. Sources say he’s resisted getting scans done. From my story: https://t.co/XHOicpNIpX pic.twitter.com/CEQpGSZTFi

What a 🤡🤡🤡.
Gute has to be still laughing his ass off he made that trade.
If we all agree that 12 is a clown, why do we not agree that Gute made a huge mistake not trading him to Denver? Instead, he signed him to a long term deal which then cost us FORTY MILLION in dead cap space. Y'all are laughing at the Jets for the upcoming cap hit while hanging from Gutes balls.
It just doesn't add up.
Where would the franchise be with the extra picks and that 40 million to bring in FA's

Hmm 🤔.....yeah....I wonder why Gutey didn't trade him in 2022 when he had a deal with Denver all worked out.....hmm 🧐 🤔 I just can't figure out why Gutey worked out the deal, then Stopped his own deal ....I'm at a loss. 🤷🏻

Because the assumption you are making is that it was Gute's sole decision to not trade him to Denver. I, like many others, believe Murphy put the brakes on that trade with the fear of what the Packers would look like post Aaron.
There was also anxiety that Love wasn't quite ready yet and needed another year.
I am just glad the Packers were able to dump AR, his insane contract, and get draft capital for it. No, it wasn't what they would have gotten from the Broncos. But the bottom line, it hasn't been our circus for 2 years now and everyday shows how grateful Packer Nation should be that's not.
I just wonder why they weren’t prescient enough the year before the Denver miss to see that the LAR were willing to give up a lot for a STAR qb. AR would have given up a nut to be out there in La La land, the sports media and starlet capital of the world. The Rams, like all LA teams are star driven and I would guess (no proof) that they made a call. The Stafford trade provided the Lions with this, Goff, and 3 picks, 2 firsts. The Pack would have at the least received this and been able to trade Goff in a year or so for a 2 or 3.
Gotta look ahead, take chances, in any business.

All I know is no team makes perfect decisions, but some teams make good decisions more often than not and the Packers tend to be one of them.
I also know that everyone thought we were going to be rebuilding for a while with a young team (even some of our players said so, see Bakh) but we never missed a beat as contenders.
So yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone is happy with how it all turned out in the end.

Except when it comes to drafting defense.
Retirement would be the semi-honorable way out, but Rodgers' hubris may not let him do that.
(I say semi-honorable because we all know he's nowhere near the player he was and that I don't think anyone wants to bring him into their locker room. Let's put it this way: retirement would be his most face-saving way out.)
I think if they would've given him that Jeopardy job, he might've retired then.
Often/Usually the NFL retires the player.
