I'm not so sure AR considers himself as a short-term option at QB for any team.
Likewise, I can't see him having much, if any, interest in mentoring a rookie or young QB (like Geno, as an example).

I think these factors limit his market.

Geno is 34

I think that's the 2nd time I've referred to Geno as 'young' when he clearly isn't.

I thought maybe he was 'young' in terms of starting, but that really doesn't fly either.

Maybe he's young at heart.

Is Tomlin looking to get fired mid season?

That would be a risk for most coaches, but not Tomlin.

If AR goes there and acts up, Tomlin will cut his ass without a second thought.

My guess is that AR will be on his best behavior and have a good year as he has to know this is his last chance to play in the NFL. DK Metcalfe and George Pickens will also make him look good.

If it's true, Steelers become formidable and have a shot at it all next year. DK, Pickens, AR... I don't know if they can overcome Buffalo or Baltimore, but I would think they'd do well against everyone else although it would be close with KC.

As I understand it, the Steelers do not have a QB on the roster.  Is that true?  If it is, then AR holds them hostage by Steeler QB attrition - which the Steelers inflict on themselves.  It appears that a  pure money grab is what this is about - everything else is secondary - including his legacy.

On the bright side there will soon be a bunch of undrafted free agent QBs who would gladly sign for a chance to be the next Steeler superstar QB.

How much you think the Packers could get for Malik Willis? If someone gave you a 3rd rounder would you move him?

Nope. Nothing wrong with having a near starter level backup QB. 1st rounder would make me consider it though.

I would think that multiple picks might work too - which might include a 2nd rounder next year.  If AR can hold them hostage - so can GB.  But how many picks does GB need?  I ask the question because I have no crystal ball and don't know what Gute thinks.
