Thanks FRZ! I think Favre will announce this weekend and TT will answer questions on Monday. Of course TT is gonna label the conference on Monday as a pre-draft conference, if he called it a Favre announcement conference his phone would be ringing off the hook all weekend. Do you guys like your crow baked or grilled? I'm just happy I'm able to share this news with my brethern at X4 about 2 days before the rest of the world!

I ate a corn pizza last night and subsequently pooped out an image of Favre throwing a football. My psychoanalyst told me it meant he was returning. I called ESPN with the great news but I guess they decided not to run with it.

I don't think this rumor is far fetched anymore. I would be willing to bet that losing out on Arrington pushed Favre to retirement. He was waiting to see what Thompson could do. Well, the wait is over.

I'm part owner of the Packers and I have heard nothing. You'd think I would be one of the ones Brett would contact first.

Wow, that took a while. That Bonita is a talker. Anyway, she claims Brett hasn't decided yet. He wants to see how the draft, some more FA, training camp, and the preseason play out before making any decision.

I'm not making anything up, but it seems (from the other thread) that you have gone hog wild with your posts about this subject and I doubt that I am the only one thinking you are in panic mode.

Hog wild? It's Friday night and I am not working so I can post more. Please. Look, I have supported Ted Thompson through a lot but the greatest Packer of my time asked for one thing from Thompson. He asked him to go sign some difference makers. Thompson should known by now that you have to overpay for those types of players because they don't come around often. Lavar Arrington may have some injuries in his past but so does Ben Taylor. Sure Ben Taylor came a lot cheaper but what the heck has he accomplished in the NFL?

OK, I like Arrington too and would have liked to see him in GB, but I wouldn't over pay for him. I said before that GB could offer more than anyone but if NY wanted to give him anywhere's close to what he wanted, that's where he was going. He wants to play against the Skins twice a year. He said that from the get-go. I can't see anyone getting all upset with TT not overpaying him when he didn't want to come there in the first place.

If you knew that Arrington didn't want to come to GB, then don't you think Thompson would have known that. Why even bring him in for a visit then? All it does is benefit Arrington and the Postons.

I'm sure Thompson heard Lavar say the same things that I heard, but he (TT) had the ability to 'take a chance', I didn't. He would be lax in his duties as GM if he didn't try. I called Lavar and invited him to a cookout one night a couple weeks ago, but he was busy with a charity function and couldn't make it.

I don't think Favre really cares about anything other than receivers.

He wanted them to sign a quality WR.

Arrington can't change that.

I don't feel like setting up a poll on this but I doubt very much whether any knowledgeable Packer fan believe there was anything more than a snowball's chance in hell of the Packers being a SB contender this year or next.
