Romo is a great as announcer.   He has the analysis out before the replays.

He nailed it on the question if 9rs should have gone for it on 4th and 4.   He has a 30% chance to win it or give it back to Mahomes

Have mixed feelings   No love for the 9rs and this keeps their SB total down and Brady sucks    He was handed two victories vs the Seahawks and Atlanta

Great game

Kyle Shanahan in Super Bowls:

• SB 51 (Falcons OC): Blew a 28-3 lead (Largest blown lead in SB history)
• SB 54 (SF HC) Blew a 10-point lead in 4th quarter (2nd-largest blown lead)
• SB 58 (SF HC) Blew a 10-point lead (2nd-largest blown lead)

Theres a reason you take QBs in the 1st

Why wasn't #23 sent to be examined after he bounced his head off the ground in the overtime period. ThAT WAS A HARD BOUNCE.

We had a cherry tree in our front yard.
My dad used to make a hard bounce from it most every year.
None of us ever had our heads examined after partaking in its bounty, and we all turned out just fine, IIDSSM.

Really hard to repeat in the NFL.  Exponentially harder to three.  But that KC D is very good and very young.  And you know their GM will find Mahomes a couple more really good pass catchers this offseason.  This was supposed to be a down year for them.  When is Kelce retiring?

This could be a win/win or lose/lose depending how you look at it as a GB fan. Knowing we beat one team and should've beaten the other...this Packer team can compete with anyone. Being subjected to three-peat talk all through next season will suck. I'm happy for Andy, he's earned everything he's accomplished. I'm happy that rat face jr shit the bed, especially the way they won the two previous games. I thought the game itself was vg, if for nothing other than both teams executed down the stretch and there weren't really any fluke scenarios going on. Chefs fans have become insufferable, so I'm glad it's over. Kudos to them, can't take anything away from Mahomes. But their defense carried them through this stretch and they got the job done in the end.

The Chefs have probably 4 or 5 Hall Of Famers on that team.  Kelce, Chris Jones, Andy Reid, and the GOAT among GOATS at QB.  Hell, I might try to find a spot for Steve Spagnuolu in the Hall of Fame if they ever start putting great defensive coordinators in the Hall.

When you think of the greatest D Coordinators of all time you’ve got guys like Belichick, Lebeau, Buddy Ryan, etc. and Spagnuolu is right up there with those guys.

You watch the way Spagnuolu coordinates a defense compared to how Joe Barry does it and it kind of makes me want to puke that Matt LaFleur thought it would be a good idea to hire him.  Oh well nothing we can do about it now, let’s hope this next coordinator is something closer to Spags than Barry.

At first look, I thought he double clutched catching that ball.  Replay tho, showed it was a clean catch.

MVS still gives me a case of the yips whenever I watch him.
Kudos to him tho for making the best of his career.  It's all about the rings and the Benjamins baby!

Also, kudos to Boris for having the cojones to bet on MVS.
Just please don't ever put up this site as collateral for your sporting 'investments'.

Thought through three quarters this was going to be SF's year, but then the fourth started and Mahomes showed why he's the SB MVP for the third time. He slowly bent SF's defense to his will until it broke on the OT drive. The game-winner was a clinic in how a QB should use his eyes. Kudos to the Chiefs, and I'm happy for Reid.

Purdy played about as well as he can play. He played better than he did in either of the Packers or Lions games.

Purdy wasn't the reason they lost....He also isn't good enough to lift his team to winning by himself. He just isn't. I'm sorry SF....he's a good QB, said that all along, he's perfect for what SF does.....however, at some point....you need your QB to make that WOW play that lifts the team on his shoulders. Purdy will never be THAT guy.

If you switch QBs in this game.....Does SF win? Without a doubt.....Does KC lose with Purdy.....yup.

And that folks.....is the end of this story.

I agree on Purdy.  Good guy and pretty good QB but I don't think he is good enough in those big spots.

I am pretty happy SF lost last night.  Not just because they beat us a few weeks ago but I always want them to lose always.

I can't remember the exact stat but the loser of the SB usually does not even make the playoffs the next year.  I am really hoping that holds true next year.

Using that "corndog" variation play, that scored the TD with Hardman, was right out of the Packer playbook. I kept thinking Love to Sims , or Love to Jones, when I saw them run it.

Is Deebo a FA? Deebo would look good in Green and Gold.

I don't think he is.  Looks like Javon Kinlaw, Chase Young, RayRay McCloud and Tashaun Gipson are FA's.  While Young certainly brings some juice, they're not really in bad shape and will return almost all of their star players.

But I am still really curious to see if they make a move on a QB to replace Purdy.  He didn't lose that game but he didn't win it either.  And with as much star power as he has around him on offense, it couldn't have been any easier for him.  I mean what more can Lynch really do to help Purdy and improve his offense?  OL?  Call better plays vs Spagnuolo's blitzes?

Pretty much agree, one little pushback tho.  The SF O took 4th quarter and OT leads and their D gave it up.  It’s a team game.

The OT coin toss was the dif…giving Pat and Andy 4 downs on every series is not a good strategy.

i was confused at the end of the game when it got to the final seconds. If KC does not score with 3 seconds left does the game continue into a new quarter as long as KC has the ball? I kept screaming to call a time out.

Good question.  Romo certainly didn’t make it clear with whatever that incomprehensible babble was as the time was winding down. Major fail by Nantz and Romo not to clearly explain it earlier.

I’d guess the game would continue as long as KC maintained possession. Which would explain why they were so nonchalant as time was running out. I was like you, worried about the clock.
