I didn't post it, but I was thinking he'd make his triumphant return on or just before the 28th. The Queenies play their first PS home game that day, and what better than a hero's welcome from thousands of his minions at the dump? Oh well...

Wow. I didn't even realize until just now that the league didn't give the Queens a home preseason game for the first two weeks. What a joke.
Via CBS Sports.com RapidReports...

1 minutes ago - Contrary to multiple reports that Brett Favre is on a flight to Minneapolis, offensive coordinator Derrell Bevell said coach Brad Childress held DE Jared Allen, K Ryan Longwell and OG Steve Hutchinson in the facility during practice, and that they were not flying to Mississippi. Russ, check last night. Supposedly they flew down there yesterday, and awhile ago I read something that Zygi has his plane blocked from that site.

Wow, if that is the case, then $$$ can buy anything. I find that hard to believe that you can get your tail number blocked, but I could be wrong. I am a pilot, and you would file a flight plan (which you would undoubtedly do for a trip like that), it would/should be in the system.

On a side note, if that is the case, then that is Shady as hell. There is no reason for blocking your tail number. It's the equivalent of taking off your license plate on your bentley? What's the purpose?

Not that I don't disagree with you about media credibility.

Just to clarify, that is SHADY as HELL!!!!!!! Privacy reasons is a cop out. You can go on flightaware and see 1,000's of flights in the sky (arrival/departure city). No where on that website does it detail passengers names, number on board, etc. Sure you can make an assumption that a flight leaving HBG to the MIN area, MIGHT have a diva on the plane, but it could be Prince on that plane instead of Brent.
Nice take here from Seifert at ESPN North blog (before the flight north was announced):

Now, after Tuesday's news that three prominent players were sent to Hattiesburg to recruit Favre in person, I think we can say the Vikings have pulled the emergency brake. They are panicked and clearly have serious concerns about Favre's once-presumed intent to play this season.

Make no mistake: This is an unprecedented move in modern-day team building. Of course, missing one training camp practice isn't a big deal. But to involve three of Favre's closest confidants in what amounts to first-person begging blurs the lines between players, coaches and front offices. It's one thing for players to recruit each other via phone during free agency, but it's quite another to ask them to clean up a mess their organizational leaders have created.

Because that's what this has become. Childress has spearheaded the Favre movement for three years in Minnesota, but it's clear he has run into a personal dead end. Favre hasn't said yes, and Childress must be concerned the answer will eventually be no. To avoid that disaster, Childress has asked three players to rescue the franchise's hope for building a Super Bowl contender this season.

You couldn't make this stuff up.

Butbutbut... How could that be? I thought there was no tampering?

Actually many corporations with private planes block their flights for various reasons. There was just an article about it up here. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, so this will be my last point about this. There is no reason, whatsoever, for companies/individuals to "block" their flights. The FAA knows about every flight that files a flight plan, and if your flying in IFR conditions, you must file a flight plan. They don't know or care who is in the plane, who owns the plane, etc., but that plane is using air traffic controllers which are being paid by tax payer dollars to fly throughout the country. It's public knowledge.

As an individual, can I take my license plate off my car "essentially blocking" anyone watching my movements? Exact same scenario.

Now, YEAH!!!!! Brent is back, can't wait for him to get CRUSHED and DEMOLISHED, by CMIII and the crew. Better yet, it will be awesome when the Queens start off 1-3 and are sniping all over the place.
