He's as predictable as he is lame.
Can't NORAD track this thing and shoot it down?
He needs a week of practice. He won't play in game 2 this weekend but he'll start game 3. That's what I think
Cool, so I can not watch ESPN the rest of the month now?
At the end of the yr the hillbilly said he would make his decision sooner than last year. He was right, 1 day earlier.
Are salaries all public? I wonder if they indeed gave him the extra $3-7 million.

I didn't post it, but I was thinking he'd make his triumphant return on or just before the 28th. The Queenies play their first PS home game that day, and what better than a hero's welcome from thousands of his minions at the dump? Oh well...
Wow. I didn't even realize until just now that the league didn't give the Queens a home preseason game for the first two weeks. What a joke.
I'm suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it was only a coincidence.
Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Favre told the trio of Vikings who came to persuade him to return that he is "back in" and he's on a plane to Minnesota now.

How do any of these "journalists" have credibility. They're on a plane, they're not, he's on his way, he's not. I just checked Flightaware and there are no flights leaving HBG or PIB heading to anywhere near Minnie. Everyone is in such a rush to report the inevitable, that they don't even get facts straight?
Russ, check last night. Supposedly they flew down there yesterday, and awhile ago I read something that Zygi has his plane blocked from that site.
PackerRuss, NFL Network reported that the Favre flight details have been blocked for privacy reasons.
Not that I don't disagree with you about media credibility.

We need to start sending pairs of crocs to that craphole facility as soon as possible. Include some KY gel for extra bonus points. May as well make the circus even more fun to watch.
Listening to sports radio this afternoon... nearly pissed my pants I'm laughing so much.
Breaking news... Rachel Nichols is on her way to Minniehaha. No word if she was sporting her crocs.

John Clayton just reported TOG to ViQueen land. The Professor is never wrong.
Wasn't it about this same day/date last year when Chilly picked him up from the airport?
Yes, it was Tuesday of the 2nd week of pre-season. Last year it was Aug 18, so he kept his word that he would make a decision earlier. Sadly, he probably justifies it that way.

Wow, if that is the case, then $$$ can buy anything. I find that hard to believe that you can get your tail number blocked, but I could be wrong. I am a pilot, and you would file a flight plan (which you would undoubtedly do for a trip like that), it would/should be in the system.
On a side note, if that is the case, then that is Shady as hell. There is no reason for blocking your tail number. It's the equivalent of taking off your license plate on your bentley? What's the purpose?
Good times are comin'.

Just to clarify, that is SHADY as HELL!!!!!!! Privacy reasons is a cop out. You can go on flightaware and see 1,000's of flights in the sky (arrival/departure city). No where on that website does it detail passengers names, number on board, etc. Sure you can make an assumption that a flight leaving HBG to the MIN area, MIGHT have a diva on the plane, but it could be Prince on that plane instead of Brent.
Actually many corporations with private planes block their flights for various reasons. There was just an article about it up here. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Cool. One more year, one more late season meltdown. The world is right again.
Welcome back, douchebag! You gave me my happiest non-Packers football-related moment last January and I can't wait to see what you do for an encore.
Nice take here from Seifert at ESPN North blog (before the flight north was announced):
You couldn't make this stuff up.
quote:Now, after Tuesday's news that three prominent players were sent to Hattiesburg to recruit Favre in person, I think we can say the Vikings have pulled the emergency brake. They are panicked and clearly have serious concerns about Favre's once-presumed intent to play this season.
Make no mistake: This is an unprecedented move in modern-day team building. Of course, missing one training camp practice isn't a big deal. But to involve three of Favre's closest confidants in what amounts to first-person begging blurs the lines between players, coaches and front offices. It's one thing for players to recruit each other via phone during free agency, but it's quite another to ask them to clean up a mess their organizational leaders have created.
Because that's what this has become. Childress has spearheaded the Favre movement for three years in Minnesota, but it's clear he has run into a personal dead end. Favre hasn't said yes, and Childress must be concerned the answer will eventually be no. To avoid that disaster, Childress has asked three players to rescue the franchise's hope for building a Super Bowl contender this season.

Yeah but before they blocked it we found out what the in flight meal was, WAFFLES!
Any chance Jack Roush is flying the plane?
Now that's cruel.
had to check the Star Tribune for a sec. they had a poll with four options. 65% of respondents believe brent will take them to the Super Bowl.
definitely a viral dementia over there.

Butbutbut... How could that be? I thought there was no tampering?
And it's coincidence that Minnesota had 1 outdoor game after October last year. Or that they had road preseason games week 1 and 2. Or that nothing was ever done about the obvious tampering.
Even Goodell has allowed himself to be sucked into the Favre reality distortion zone.

Can't wait for the video of Favre getting off the plane, as Jared Allen, Ryan Longwell and Hutchinson are following behind, carrying all of FAvre's belongings.
Any word on if their chauffeur...I mean head coach is on his way to pick them up, to?

Post of the year. Doesn't get more succinct than that.
Maybe he's on his tractor heading north to Minn. and is scheduled to arrive in time to possibly play in one preseason game (if the ankle is o.k.) but definitely the first regular season game.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, so this will be my last point about this. There is no reason, whatsoever, for companies/individuals to "block" their flights. The FAA knows about every flight that files a flight plan, and if your flying in IFR conditions, you must file a flight plan. They don't know or care who is in the plane, who owns the plane, etc., but that plane is using air traffic controllers which are being paid by tax payer dollars to fly throughout the country. It's public knowledge.
As an individual, can I take my license plate off my car "essentially blocking" anyone watching my movements? Exact same scenario.
Now, YEAH!!!!! Brent is back, can't wait for him to get CRUSHED and DEMOLISHED, by CMIII and the crew. Better yet, it will be awesome when the Queens start off 1-3 and are sniping all over the place.
Hutchinson will have him on his shoulders coming off the plane with Dongwell carrying his crocs and Allen his bag full of PEDs.
