Gotta believe that Dix, Mosley, or Pryor will still be there for us in round 1, hard to pass on these 3.
TT Tends to draft big bodies in Round 1 though and with the d-line looking to possibly need a major revamp....
From Wes Hodkiewicz: Not formally announced yet, but RB Michael Hill has re-signed with the Packers. He was on the 53-man roster for a couple of weeks last October, but was signed off the practice squad by the Buccaneers in November. They cut him last week.
Hill had 3 other teams that wanted him and he chose GB.

Steelers GM: Deepest draft in 30 years
Can some one splain the flying 20.
Here ya go.
Steelers GM: Deepest draft in 30 years
If Thompson feels the same I expect him to try and pull 10-12 players from this draft
Here is one from JSO on Iowa TE CJ Fiedorowicz
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/246424811.html
He's a slam dunk to be a Packer given:
Ted's pipeline from Iowa
He has a J in his name
Has the same agent as Micah Hyde and Jolly
Costs less than Finley
Already has the Packer tan
Can play in the cold
Flies with only a carry-on ( no extra baggage)
I could see taking him in the third round if he's there, a reach for the second round.
Does it measure how long it takes to take a morning poop?
McCarthy on defensive line: 'We're not getting smaller'
The Green Bay Packers' defensive line won't be getting smaller, contrary to some media reports, and running back Eddie Lacy will be a three-down player, coach Mike McCarthy said at the NFL scouting combine on Friday morning.

Coffee aided or dry?
Trots?
the fact that there were even any reports about MM wanting the defensive line to "get smaller" is absurd. Goes to show how goddamn stupid sports media is.
This is all speculation based on most thinking our two "fattest" guys, Raji & Pickett, not MM, will be gone.
Looks like a lot of quality players could be there in the fourth and fifth. I would be shocked if ROTTT doesn't trade down in rd 1. I would really like Abbrederis and Fiedorowicz in rd 2 and 3.
Maybe not wanting a smaller DL per say but wanting more athletic players with more muscle than fat.
A good article on my hometown boy entering the draft....I hope he's successful wherever he ends up
I get the concerns over DL, safety and ILB. But it's curious to me that the OL hasn't been discussed. We've lacked depth the last two years and Aaron has had to run for his life more often than Ben gazzara. Many of you hated eds last year. And Newsome sucks.
also, I was vocal last year about wanting to keep James Starks. I feel the same way now. What would he cost in cap money? Franklin is an unknown quantity at this point; Starks is a stud. IMHO.
Our offense will be just fine with the olineman we have. We were 11th in total offense even without our QB for a number of games. With Bulaga, Sherrod, & Tretter returning we have plenty of depth. Depending on what happens with Finley & Jones, TE & WR are the only areas that may need to be addressed, and those areas pale in comparison to safety & ILBER needs

There's a good documentary on Netflix called Two Days in April. Four pro-bound college football players go for gridiron glory in this behind-the-scenes look at the NFL draft.
Jadaveon Clowshoes just ran a 4.47 40... at 266 lbs.
That size and that speed and only 3 sacks? Didn't watch him but for 1 game so I can't say, but was he doubled and tripled a lot? Any Cock fans out there who could provide some insight?
My take on Clowney last season.
He was doubled some.
Run away from a lot.
Effectively blocked quite a bit.
And took some plays off IMO.
He makes a big, flashy play or two per game and is over hyped based on that IMO JMO.
Definitely has the physical tool though.
Makes me wonder then how motivated he'll be when getting NFL $$.

I think every NFL GM and scout is wondering the same thing. I got the feeling there were some who felt like Clowney really didn't want to play this year as he was afraid of getting a serious injury and then having his earnings potential destroyed. There's a part of me that kind of understands that and yet somehow someway you still need to go out there and give 100% despite the risk of injury.
I think at the very least he's going to be a good NFL player. To be elite though, I think he's going to need to do some hard work and it's questionable at this point whether he's going to be willing to do it as it sure didn't look like he worked that hard this past season. I don't think he'll be a bust unless he's injured early on. He's too talented to be a bust if he's healthy, but as I say, GMs won't draft him to just be good, they'll want him to be great.

Indeed. The question becomes whether or not you can disavow him of the notion of putting his needs before the teams' needs. I kinda doubt it, but I've never met the guy. His own coach questioned his work ethic...
Can't spend eleventy billion on a self-centered mercenary because he'll sit out with a hangnail and you'll be handcuffed to him for 4-5 years. And for at least two of those, he'll be just trying to stay healthy and not lose his next lottery ticket...
Michael Sam runs a 4.91 official 40 as an undersized DE.
Hello undrafted free agency.
Ouch. Hawk ran a 4.59. And, according to what I've read numerous times on this site, AJ Hawk sucks.
Maybe Clowney will drop to #21 and have a chip on his shoulder and have a work ethic to prove how wrong all the teams were. Sort of like this guy,
I think poster Stevie lived in Aiken, SC for a time. Here's his awesome take:
I wouldn't take Clowney even if we did have the #1 overall pick.
If for nothing else his rep is Bus Cook.
Another Steve in South Carolina said some days ago that Clowney's work ethic is "OK".
Didn't miss many of his snaps played. He took it easy this year, no question. I highly doubt that will be an issue at the next level.
Clowney is going to get a reality check because he won't immediately be a superstar anymore. He's been called a superstar since he was 17, is anyone surprised he has a mediocre work ethic? What is there to prove when no one doubts you are the best football player on the field at all times? What obstacles has he had to overcome?
He could be Reggie White or he could be Aundray Bruce, depends on where he goes and who is coaching him.
Badgers LB Chris Borland runs an unofficial 4.83 in the 40-yard dash.
