Great article that sums up the way I feel. Everyone's forgetting about what Peterson did to get suspended. As long as he can score touchdowns, No one cares what kind of human he is:
snip -
What's happening with Peterson is scintillating. It is eye-popping. It is also disturbing.
Disturbing, in that so many seem to have forgotten what Peterson did to get himself suspended last year, deleting the brutal images of the injuries he inflicted on his own son from their memory banks, the way they empty the cache on their web browser.
We can appreciate what Peterson is accomplishing as a player, but let's not forget what he did as a father.
snip-
No, I'm not asking for Peterson to wear a scarlet A. But it would be nice to see a little more introspection from the sport and the fans that follow it, as well as the media that covers it. What Peterson did was child abuse, and here we are, just a short time later, in some ways acting like what he did never happened.
Go back in time, to that horrible moment when the pictures of Peterson's beaten son were released. It was disturbing stuff.
These paragraphs from Roger Goodell's letter to Peterson (viaNPR.org), after the NFL disciplined him, are worth noting again:
First, the injury was inflicted on a child who was only four years old. The difference in size and strength between you and the child is significant, and your actions clearly caused physical injury to the child. While an adult may have a number of options when confronted with abuse—to flee, to fight back or to seek help from law enforcement—none of those options is realistically available to a four-year-old child. Further, the injury inflicted on your son includes the emotional and psychological trauma to a young child who suffers criminal physical abuse at the hands of his father.
Second, the repetitive use of a switch in this instance is the functional equivalent of a weapon, particularly in the hands of someone with the strength of an accomplished professional athlete.
Third, you have shown no meaningful remorse for your conduct. When indicted, you acknowledged what you did but said that you would not "eliminate whooping my kids" and defended your conduct in numerous published text messages to the child's mother. You also said that you felt "very confident with my actions because I know my intent." These comments raise the serious concern that you do not fully appreciate the seriousness of your conduct, or even worse, that you may feel free to engage in similar conduct in the future.

7-2 and leading the NFC-N starting the day. Let's see where they are after their next 3 - Atlanta, Seattle and Arizona.

We haven't proven $hit!!! We haven't won enough to talk smack or boast about wins!-- especially toward packer fans.
Get some f-Ing perspective! Respect the team that has been there and wait until WE beat them BEFORE you talk smack.
Stupid sumbiches!
Man, this win feels so good
From King pre-game:
The Vikings are putting on the blinders. Yes, they have the top-ranked rushing offense in football. Yes, they’ve allowed the second-fewest points in football. But everything about their 7-2 start is being thrown out the window in advance of the Packers.
In case you felt the slightest twinge of any empathy for the ass kicking the Vikings received...
Don't get it twisted, Packer fans don't "travel well"...They just have a lot of bandwagon fans who don't want to root for their own city.
glad to see Dante still doesn't make sense
We are rooting for our "own city" -- no matter where we live. Look up "bandwagon fans" in the dictionary and you'll see some guy in blonde pigtails wearing a Vikings hat.
If I'm reading his fingers correctly, I think he's implying the bandwagon fans are viking fans from mn that decided to root for the packers? Maybe I'm overestimating him.
I thought that meant he was a dumbass.

Why, that's brilliant.
Let's see where they are after their next 3 - Atlanta, Seattle and Arizona.

bingo!!!!
Dante's already seen Concussion?
I never paid much attention to what came out of Culpepper's pie-hole, I'm not about to start now.
I think you are all being a little hard on the Vikings.
If Bud Grant ever told me he was my father I'd straight murder his ass on the spot and the only evidence anyone would ever find would be his DNA soaked Super Bowl ring.
Dante Cullpepper is one of the rare few people who manage to become more irrelevant the more he is retweeted.
Dante Culpepper is not an idiot, he just has a lot of intelligent thoughts that don't come out of his mouth.
glad to see Dante still doesn't make sense
He's gettin' his roll on!!

That's the way I read it.
Now, don't get it twisted; it took a few attempts to consider the meaning of his words, and what it was he was trying to say. I must admit that I was actually impressed with his tweet; no 'slang', punctuated fairly well, and spelling was good.
But none of that matters when he's wrong...
Who's Daunte Culpepper ?
Let's see where they are after their next 3 - Atlanta, Seattle and Arizona.

8-5. Atlanta is bad.
Atlanta could put up 40 at home, or they could lay a goose egg.
Chicago is a tough guy town
Now that's what I call a-hole journalism
Man, I miss the Denny and Tice years and all the knuckleheads that played for them. Hovan, Moss, Culpepper, Jeff Brady, Corey Fuller to name a few.
Just because.
Pants pissing whinners.
Hating the Vikings gives purpose to my otherwise humdrum life.
Ragnar was holding them back.
I'd love to see 'small hands' Teddy make the attempt of Rodgers 70 yard toss
The Minnesota Vikings remain in prime playoff positioning with eight wins. However, in two of their biggest tests of the season they've failed miserably.
Two weeks ago the Vikings got lambasted at home 30-13 by rival Green Bay Packers. Sunday,Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks embarrassed them.
Minnesota McDonald's gets Packers cups by mistake
MINNEAPOLIS — It might feel like salt in the wound of Minnesota Vikings' fans after a humbling loss to Seattle Sunday.
A suburban Twin Cities McDonald's was using promotional cups emblazoned with the logo of the border rival Green Bay Packers. Minnesota's 38-7 loss put the Packers in a tie with the Vikings for first place in the NFC North.
It turns out the Packers cups were shipped to the McDonald's in Vikings country by mistake. The suburban restaurant is honoring the promotion which is tied to the Green Bay Packers win Thursday with a Hail Mary pass.
The Star Tribune story about the "McMixup" drew plenty of responses from Vikings fans, some who believe it was no accident and a plot concocted by a Packer backer.
All part of the NFL's master plan!!! BWAAAA HAAAA HAAAA

On Monday night, Zimmer finally went home after staying at the facility Sunday night to prepare for the Vikings' Thursday night game. On Zimmer's trip home, he stopped at McDonald's. It didn't go as planned.
"I went to McDonald's on the way home, because I was hungry," Zimmer said, per ESPN. "I ordered two cheeseburgers, and I only got one. That's the kind of week it's been."
Why didn't Zimmer remind the employees that he's the head coach of the Vikings?
"They probably did [know who I am]," Zimmer said. "That's probably why I only got one."
First the Packers' cups, now shorting the head coach a cheeseburger. Even McDonald's knows the Vikings suck.
