I noticed that there is a lot of flak out there on the net from Viking fans that say the "packers haven't played anyone yet".  We only "play losing teams".  Etc.  So I have only 2 things to say about that:

1. Comparing (from the Packer point of view) 6-0 teams on GBs schedule with the Vikings in terms of average opponent winning % you get this:

For MN (4-2) = .357 (but if you remove Denver (MN best opp) it is .228)

For GB (6-0) = .353 (remove STL (Pack best opp) it drops to .324)

For DEN (6-0) = .337 (remove MN (DEN best opp) it drops to .271)

For CAR (6-0) = .365 (remove SEA (one of CAR best opp) it drops to .352)

Conclusion: CAR has the toughest road to hoe by this measure.  And their opponent winning % holds value (relatively speaking) even if you eliminate their best opponent.  The Vikings have the weakest average opponent winning % overall. DENis only slightly better.  The Packers have the most stable average opponent winning %.

2. If the Viking fans raged at their ownership like they do Packer fans maybe things in MN would change.  But that would take work - something they don't like to do evidently.

There is a reason the Vikings suck - and maybe it starts with their fans.

Vikings remind me of the Bares teams of years gone by.  Mediocre teams, at best, but they have the proverbial horseshoe up their arse.  Think of the 2001 Bears especially.  Every bounce went their way that season.  Last week Peterson fumbled 2 plays in a row, they recovered both.  The Rams elected to go for 2 early in the game due to high winds.  They blew the try and wound up losing in overtime.

The week before they had no business beating the Bares.

Teddy 2 Glove has 6 TDs and 6 picks....through 8 games.  The QB situation with that team has been so terrible over the years they actually think this is good.  Meanwhile a QB they passed on, twice, has 19 and 4 (Derek Carr).

Yep I see a ton of comments from spermheads fans that they have played this hard as hell schedule and the Packers haven't played anyone.  Over the course of the year both teams with I think 2 different games play almost the same schedule.

And as for the power rankings I could give two craps that they are ranked above the Packers.  This isn't college football where you are trying to impress a committee or voters you play the game on the field.

I'm always careful to discount teams based on quality of opponent. In any given year, approximately 80% of the league is average to crap. Likewise, you could argue most games come down to a handful of plays, and winning close games is preferable to losing them.

That said, I don't think this MIN team is ready to have they asses crowned just yet. With both teams at their best, I think the Pack win convincingly. Now if they could only find where that darned "best" went...
