Let him stay on to scout the PAC 12 !!! (But dont take him too seriously)

Nothing wrong with Kenny Clark and Blake Martinez.  We will see about Kevin King.

Datone Jones, Richard Rodgers, Carl Bradford, Brett Hundley, Trevor Davis, etc....better talent was available with premium picks used.

True, but you can point to any other conference picks.  Let's take the Big 10--Jason Spriggs, Jerel Worthy, Mike Neal, AJ Hawk (just to focus on 1st and 2nd round picks) better talent was available with the premium picks used.  It comes down to the talent selector, not the conference.

Since when are Day 3 picks premium? Other than the first two guys here, all of them are Day 3 picks. Missing on day 3 picks is not alarming, missing on Datone, Rollins, Thornton, etc. is much more alarming.

Since round 3 moved to day 3

Thompson did a great job here and I will remember him fondly, but I think this is the ideal time for him to step down.  Definitely wanted a different approach this off-season and am glad he has moved aside considering his age and that he only had one more year on his contract.  Didn't want the same approach only to have him retire and just end up delaying everything for one season.  New GM will come into a situation where he won't have many major free agent decisions with guys already on the team (Burnett is the only one) and will have 12 draft picks to work with.

I can't WAIT to start blaming everything on the new GM and DC!  This is gonna be great!

Just be careful what you wish for...

Yeah, I'm going to really miss all those dominating defensive performances coordinated by Dom while using all of Ted's glorious defensive picks that we witnessed over the past 7 sentences.

Should have just kept them until they both keeled over in their offices.

More like 95-5.

Even Sherman and Lindy Infante got a chance under new GM's...and MM has done way more than they ever did. He's not going anywhere unless it's his choice...and the Sons of the Monongahela don't quit. They are not built that way. He's a GB lifer...his wife is from here. This will be his last stop whether he's coaching or not.

Can't agree with the last two sentences.  MM is young enough and would get an opportunity to coach elsewhere if he is shown the door.  I can't see him passing on an opportunity because his wife is from GB.

I would take that bet. More like 80/20. No internal hire will replace him. And only a fool would release him in any case. He would have 3 offers before he left the parking lot. And we would be starting over with a new system.

He wouldn't take two steps out of the meeting if he was let go without Dorsey hiring him. He'd be a natural fit with the Browns.

Forgot about McKenzie.

Yes. I keep thinking about him.

They signed DelRio to a 4 year extension in Feb 2017.

Dec 31, 2017 DelRio is terminated.

That ain't McKenzie, I assure you. This is 100% because they most likely had Gruden in the bag, a coach that Mark Davis has wanted back in Oakland since early to mid 2000's.

They also need to sell seats in that $2 Billion with a "B" new stadium in Vegas. You will have trouble selling seats if your product on the field sucks.

McKenzie is under contract with Oakland through the 2021 draft. They extended him back in July 2016. So there's that.

He'd do pretty well with Kizer under center

Rollins and Thornton weren't PAC 12 players. The others were bad picks out of the PAC 12. Can't tell me 4th and 5th round picks dont have value.
