Yes, we are entitled to the best coach, the best GM, and the best players at every position. I mean the 31 other teams should just let us have that.

I never said anything close to suggesting we need perfection. Can you honestly look at our CB, and Linebacker positions and feel this is a SB contender? Same could be asked of the pass rushers.

1. Salary cap.

2. Draft position thru the years.

3. Can't force free agents where to play.

It's easy to pick the Packers to lose.

It's hard to pick them to win.

Perceived deficiencies.

Couldn't agree more. If they can generate pressure anything is possible. The pressure will protect the CB's and the open lanes in the middle.

EVERY team has weaknesses at certain position groups. In the 6 previous seasons before last year the average defensive ranking for the SB winner was 9.5. In each of those seasons the offense was ranked higher than the defense on these winning teams. Heck, in one of KC's winning years their defense was ranked 16th. Right now our defense is 8th in points allowed, 10th in yards, and 4th in turnovers. How many SB appearances could we have had in the Rodgers era with a defense like this?

Imagine Gutey is a top 10 GM. That would put him in the top 31% and that's not even close to being good enough. I give Gute credit for keeping us competitive but at the end of the day its about winning titles and not consolation ribbons.

If we are not striving to achieve this, what the fuck is the point?

Wow, you are one miserable dude. But that's your cross to bear, not mine.

Quick, name me 3 teams that have no weakness that would stop them from going to the Super Bowl this year.

Good luck, you are going to fail. Just wanted to let you know ahead of time.
