I'm not sure it was that great of an upset. This German side was probably the worst in their history. They were lucky to beat Sweden. Mexico's win over them was a joke. They will get corn-holed in the knockout round.

Playing Colombia instead of Japan is the reward?

There are no WC matches tomorrow, but the first preliminary round of the CL resumes tomorrow with Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar versus Drita of Kosovo for a spot in the first qualifying round against Malmö.

Bad mattress in Moscow ?  Brazil left back Marcello,  left the field early in the match against Serbia,, doctors claim the injury was caused by the bed he slept on in a Moscow hotel.

Just returned from 8 days in Germany. Frankfurt, Wiesbaden. For 8 days I listened to Germans giving me **** about our “little Hitler” (that’s actually what they call our orange man baby). While I don’t disagree with them it did get old quickly.

So it was very nice to sit in the Steigenberger Hotel in Frankfurt with 800 Germans to watch their beloved country get summarily dismissed for the 1st time in the opening round since Jesse Owens spent a little time in Berlin.
