hate the bears more. for me it was wearing the Packers sweater to school that my Grandma bought me for my 10th birthday the Monday of the '85 MNF game in Chicago. I was so proud of that sweater. After another Ditka ass whipping I was ridiculed mercilessly the next day, vowing to get my revenge. never forgot that. the last 25 years have been nice but I want to squeeze more blood. I screamed at the TV when we let off the gas a few years back. Must... destroy....

Or....Philbin gets the passing game back to layered depth routes and Rodgers has to read the safety to find his mismatch instead of the four verticals that were incredibly easy to cover and overly reliant on Rodgers āmakingā extra time to find secondary options out of those four lame ass verticals. If you have Adams, Cobb, and Graham with a very capable pass catching back like Williams. Rodgers should never have the ball in his hand longer than 3-4 seconds. If he does heās still looking for...

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
This is a really shrewd draft selection for a few reasons. First, the guy has talent. He has the tools to play and play well at the next level. Could he flame out? Sure he could. But I actually think this is less of a risk than Miami taking Tua at 5 or SD taking the Oregon guy where they did. Burrows was the only real elite QB prospect and if you miss at 5 or 6 thatās much different than missing at 26. Second, this should piss off and hopefully motivate Rodgers to play at or near the top of...

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
I love all the justifications why this is a shit pick... He's dumb. He played at a small school. Dan Marino was no rocket scientist. Neither was Bert. Kark Cuzzins had one of the all-time high wonderlic scores for a QB. Just in recent memory, QB that came from small schools...Flacco, Roethlisberger, Jimmy G, Josh Allen (jury is still out but he looks promising), Slapperdick...and on the other side, lets look at all the Power 5 QB, hell some of them even won national championships, that did...

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
^^^ Good post. I am not going to lose my shit over this pick. The bottom line is we will not know until at least 3 years from now unless Rodgers has a catastrophic injury. As I said earlier, the heir to Rodgers had to happen at some point. All I know from years of watching QB play, you cannot teach arm and size. You either have those or you don't. Love has a huge arm. He has ideal size and build. Again, that can't be developed. As much as I loved Matt Flynn, the kids arm was only so good. No...

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
I'm ok with the pick. Decision making could be a red flag, or it could be eliminated with reps and game study. Rodgers had snags in the mechanics which were corrected, but we'd be hard pressed to believe that film study didn't play a huge part in Rodgers separating himself from Bert in many ways. There's no reason Love can't come in and watch and learn and study his ass off. And in that sense, your point about being in a great position in GB is true. He's 21, quite possibly hasn't even grown...

Re: 2020 NFL Draft Viewing Thread DAY 2/Day 3
I can see the potential upside with the first 2 picks for the Pack. But that 3rd pick, it seems like at best that guy is used as an H-back type. He'll fill a role, but it almost seems like there's no chance he could ever be an upper tier TE with his ordinary size and measurables. A guy like Delanie Walker was only 6' 2" but he had much better speed than the TE the Pack picked. I suppose he can be a nice complimentary player, but you wish you could find a guy with the potential to be great...

Hell I can answer the ILB question... GB will again install some Jank-ass hybrid Safety in the box that isn't good enough against the run or the pass. That philosophy is embedded in GB's defensive structure and it doesn't work... at all.

Re: 2020 NFL Draft Viewing Thread DAY 2/Day 3
GB can play SF 10 times in a row... at Lambeau, in a parking lot, on the moon or under any circumstances and get their fucking ass handed to them 10 straight times. In fact, if Green Bay were even competitive in any of those 10 games it would be a major improvement. Welcome to reality.

Maybe this is all a ploy to set Pettine up to fail and MLF can choose a DC of his own. After this crazy ass draft, that actually doesn't sound like a wildly out-in-left field conspiracy theory.

Re: 12
Its kinda weird how that stat is presented / received. On the one hand some will use it as an indictment of the Packers front office. On the other hand, they accumulated so much talent without spending a 1st, its evidence of a very talented front office Jordy, Jennings, Driver, Cobb, Jones, Adams, Cook, Jimmy, Aaron Jones, Eddie Lacy and a few others. That's a lot of skills So I guess it just comes down to your general POV in terms of how you view that particular stat.

Re: 12
I'm being told by a fan of both Mannings that this is evidence of both Mannings making the most of their talent where Rodgers hasn't. Apparently it's a steep challenge to throw to 1st round picks, as opposed to later round weapons. The hatred toward GB and AR is so ridiculous they can't even put forth a consistent argument.

Gotta play the odds. Chances are better Minn goes one and done. Eagles with Foles have much better odds. But I live among them so in that sense it's no different than living with Viking fans.

Game had a weird feel to it...Rams seemed out of it when it was 3-0. Nice to see defense beat offense ... especially after the NFL has given every possible advantage to the offense via the ever interpretive changes made to the rule book.

Pitt's TE Jesse James is a FA. Bring him. He's only 25 years old and 6' 7''. Brown leaving practice, then skipping the next practice, then showing up expecting to play, is just so weird. That is some extreme shit. You have to doubt whether he's going to just stop acting like that.

Twitter is great because you can follow random shit like former Bengals WR Chad Johnson telling Devante Adams today he could cover Adams 1 on 1 because heās studied DBs and then Adams clowning Chad that young men in the league canāt cover him but his tired old ass thinks he can stay with him because he has vet smarts. My goodness. Adams against Chad Johnson is nothing Chad Johnson ever wants to ever actually happen.

Russell Wilson definitely comes off as a bit of a weird guy when you hear his motivational BS on the sidelines, but it must work. I'll be fair to Wilson and say that a lot of guys say and yell weird things during football games, but Wilson just sounded pretty over the top with his motivational rantings. From everything I've heard Wilson is a good guy, but I think he's a good guy that's a little bit annoying.

Re: Bucks at Pistons
I really thought the Pistons would put up a good fight last night, but man they are not good. It's weird seeing all those ex-Bucks on that team. I sort of wish all those ex-Bucks could somehow be part of the Bucks organization instead of being exiled to Detroit, but all those guys were end of the bench guys anyways. Feel bad for Maker more than anyone, but he just doesn't look like he has the true upside that some thought he did in his first year or 2.
