Re: Positives and negatives
Janis watching a TD bounce off his chin was comical. I have to give credit to the Colts. With three minutes left, McStupidface would have run two dives and a sweep for negative 1 yards. Colts went for the jugular and threw killer passes (granted, they were to the middle of our defense, so, it was a pretty safe play). 4-4, time to stop being stupid and start kicking ass. Dom Capers sucks

Re: Positives and negatives
There's more than enough talent on this team to be 6-2 right now, injuries or not. Aaron Rodgers is still an MVP caliber player, the problem is coaching. McStupidface is content to run this team into a brick wall; doing the same things week after week, year after year. McCarthy is an incredibly overrated coach. He's no better than Mike Sherman, not in any respect. Considering how awful Mike Sherman's GM was (himself), you can make a strong case that McCarthy is an inferior coach (and don't...

If I remember correctly I would say half the board **** their pants over hiring the OC from one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Translation: shiny, pretty new ponies usually are a product of their system, not their individual coaching "genius". Seriously, did anyone really think Philbin would make a great coach? Point being TT actually did a damn solid job in picking MM. I don't know what the reality is of Peyton vs MM but both went on a pretty similar path and had some success. While MM's...

First of all, pay me like the Packers top brass who's job it is to live, study, and know these kinds of things. I'll quit my current job and spend from now until the end of the playoffs researching, studying, turning over every rock, consulting with every good football mind I can find, etc.. I'll look into every assistant currently in the NFL, every viable college coach, any head coaches who I think could become available, and every ex-head/assistant coach who is currently not employed and...

Slowmo... Seriously considering some changes doesn't in any way mean that I think M.M. has been a complete failure or that he's not a good coach. His record and accomplishments speak for themselves and put him right up there with other very successful coaches. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he went on to do well with another team at some point in his career. In addition, I'm not sure that I'm completely enamored with the way T.T. has done everything throughout his tenure with the Parkers...

Re: Positives and negatives
It's admirable that he defends them like this in public. But, he better be sticking his foot up their ass in private if he actually believes it is a winning 1-on-1's issue. I'm fairly certain he isn't doing the latter. There might not have been a schism between Rodgers and McCarthy before, but there may be one festering. While Rodgers hasn't been Rodgers much over the past 20 games, when he's had success it is when they've gone off script. I don't believe school yard is sustainable, but when...

Something about that last paragraph rings true with me. Yeah there is a multitude of ways to fix a bunion but I know what works for me and that's how I fix it. Do "what you do" if you will but at least do it well and the Packers simply are not. There is just no identity. I know much of this discussion about the coaching both on offense and defense and to be honest it wouldn't be upset to see come changes but yesterday it is an execution thing for me. Offensive, you have a Jordy over throw...

Not if Washington gets in because of their weak ass schedule and MI, PS and WI are all kept out. It's just not correct.

Washington is up 31-7 in the 3rd quarter. There in. 1. Alabama (win or lose the SEC championship) 2. Ohio State 3. Washington Clemson if they beat Virginia Tech

Re: Hitler vs Stalin game thread (NE vs Seattle)
When the Packers faced Seattle 4 times between 2012-2015, I felt like Russell Wilson was very good but not elite. That is ancient history and quite frankly, I think Russell Wilson is now elite. His passing from the pocket has improved and he's going to be a pain in the ass to the rest of the NFC for the next 8-10 years if he stays healthy. I think at worst, Seattle gets to the NFC Championship game again this year and it wouldn't shock me at all to see them win it all with the combination of...

Re: Since No One Else Has The Stomach For It....Pos/Neg
It's been pretty comical watching Julius Peppers literally jog through defensive series giving what looks like the most minimum effort possible just to make it to the next play while earning 10.5 million. Or seeing CMIII sitting on the sidelines being paid 14 mil and set to make 15 + next season while nursing yet another hamstring injury. These are among the leaders on defense and the message is pretty clear you can skate through on effort and/or milking injuries and keep collecting that...

Re: Our not so Special Teams
Playing punt/kickoff coverage/returns are the simplest jobs to have in football. Minimal to no reads required and minimal responsibility. It ain't rocket science. ST doesn't need to kick ass game in and game out, but there's little excuse for failure. A coach can't control a bonehead like Bostick, but he can teach lane discipline and how to set up or avoid blocks.

Re: The Ugly, The Bad ...and the Good?
The good: Once again, a lot of individual players having good performances that amount to nothing in the end. Spriggs was probably the nicest surprise. The bad: Anything and everyone that has any connection to our current defense. To say that we have been decimated by injury would be an understatement. And we have guys playing hurt who have no business being on the field, but they are put out there to trot around the best they can simply because there's nobody else available. Our veterans,...

Re: The Ugly, The Bad ...and the Good?
Hey, offense, how abouts you guys warm up before the game instead of using the typical first 3 drives of 3nOuts to do that? Thanks Barclay for getting hurt so the better player could play. You'd think the coaches would know that beforehand but... With Jake and Blake out it won't happen but jesus christ please cut ****ing Bradford and replace him with a real player as soon as possible. He has no clue, knocked on his ass each time he was blocked, played scared. With the D in complete triage...

Sorry Bad Bob, this was a "signature win". Period. We didn't beat Seattle. WE KICKED THEIR ASS. Datone Jones looked like a 1st round pick today. Lowry is getting better and better. Dam Randall found his swag.

I'm eating a full humble pie - no way I would've predicted this beat down and flat out ass kicking. All the JSO staff picked SEA to win today. This run, though not done, has been amazing and I pledge to not be a Kworst doubter again. + Monty, 12, Dom, Jordy, pass pressure and pursuit, Secondary, the water boy - the whole friggin team - this team showing major Nads and showing up when it matters (with attitude) - Monty's shoulder?, Arod's wheel EDIT: Boris, my hush money has been deposited in...

Slipping can look like fear when someone wants you to see them coming to whip the chatter out of your dri-fit covered mouth. Was this theraputic for GB not going after a one armed Sherman in the Championship game? You bet your ass it was.

Re: Texan's Week
I get what he is saying. I think he just used the wrong words. The truth is, it's easy to knock someone on their ass when they don't see it coming. Players love to flaunt it afterwards, but it doesn't mean you beat the guy in a straight up 1-on-1. It means you got him not looking and off-balance, and that's all it means.

It will be good theater when we go up to Seattle and kick their ass again in the playoffs. This time for the full 60 minutes.

Re: Tougher season than expected.
Never look at last seasons SoS. It doesn't mean anything. Free Agency, draft, etc. Teams change very quickly now with players moving from team to team. What matters is this year & not so much who you play, but when you play them. The Colts would get their ass kicked now. A month & a half ago, not so much

I'm not eating any crow in this thread. CAPACKFAN95's gratuitous hissy fit aside, the reason you don't pull a photo stunt like that is not only that you expose yourself as a "look-at-me" narcissist and all-around showboating POS, you empower your opponent and galvanize fans of the whole sport against you for no good reason, other than you wanted a picture of you and your friends acting like showboating gangster-ass twats with their shirts off. Re: Let's Talk Cowboys (Divisional Playoff Game 1/15/17)
I agree that the Packer offense has been rolling, but am not sure where this "pretty weak Cowboy defense" is coming from. Defensive Rankings: Points : Dallas (5th) , for reference Green Bay (21st) Rush : Dallas(1st), Green Bay (8th) Pass : Dallas(26th), Green Bay (31st) Cowboys have the 5th rated defense overall. Weak in pass defense, yes, but underrated and certainly not weak overall. The good news is that the Packer offense just dominated the #2 ranked defense. During thier "Run the Table"...

sheesh, no faith much? the degree of separation in the remaining 4 NFC teams can be seen here: 4 TOs in the first game and we lost by 14 pts. I will quote the Singing Lambonis at this time from their fine song "Kick Yer Ass": Kick yer ass, kick yer ass, the Green Bay Packers gonna kick yer ass No matter if you try to run, no matter if you pass The Green Bay Packers gonna kick yer ass!

Significant difference between the Giants offense and the Cowgirls offense. I'm thinking Doms plan against the Giants was rectal or sigmoid level, against the Cowgirls he might need to go ascending colon or cecum level.

Re: Gruden's Grunts vs McCarthyism's Kids
Hundley has no business being in this league. That drive sequence is a complete representation of everything that’s wrong with him. No points after a missed 49 yd FG and a gift 15yd penalty with 3:30 left in the 1st in a tie game. He sucks ass.
