I think Lane Taylor is somebody who has a shot. MM hasn't sounded particularly pleased with GVR in his press conferences and Taylor has actually played pretty well in preseason.

The problem with keeping him over GVR would be that we don't have a backup C. So they might be eyeing Patrick Lewis who can play both center and guard.

Not so fast Iowa! Blaine is the real American in JAX. The Jaguars have 2 QB's with YouTube theme songs. How great is that?

Sanchez is another example of a QB who should have never been made the starter as a rookie. For all the Bengals' gaffs and foibles over the years, having Carson Palmer sit for his rookie campaign and get up to speed was a good move. The Andrew Lucks and Russell Wilsons are exceptions, not the norm.

I honestly think Harrell was kept less for his playing ability and more for his film room/game planing ability. I say that, not because I know he's just an ace in the film room, but because his playing ability was so clearly below average it had to be something else. I'm wondering if that's the reason why the Jets signed him. Geno Smith is an immature rookie, Sanchez is a headcase, McElroy is probably okay, and Matt Simms is a joke of a QB. They may have wanted a guy who can help these knuckleheads breakdown film and get prepared for games.

The Jets signed Harrell because they need a second quarterback for this week's game. Smith, Sanchez and McElroy aren't playing. That leaves Simms and Harrell. Imagine paying to see that.

I still remember an uncommon occurrence the year the Pack won the SB in 1996.  Jags and Panthers, as expansion franchises, made the Conference finals.  Jags shocked Broncos to advance to that game.

That win over the Broncos probably to this day remains their best moment as a team.

Man, if I were a Jaguar fan, I would find that incredibly discouraging!

Best name ever. That guy doesn't even need a porn name, that's perfect. It's 1 'r' away from being Meatogar, that would be pretty cool.

I worked with his cousin

Crap-shoot draft in '09. Jason Smith, Tyson Jackson, Sanchez, Heyward-Bey, Maybin all in top 11.

Of course Raji went 9th - ROTTT!

Hey. We beat the Packlers in Lambeau. (2004).

Scoreboard!

Maybe Jacksonville runs like the Dolphins by trying to arouse interest by selling ownership stakes to local minorities. (In this case, Jacksonville minorities = white people making >$50,000)

Leinart has been an abject failure (minus 1/2 of his rookie year) in the league but expecting him to walk in mid-week to a new team and play well is asking too much, IMO.

He seems to fit the M3 mold more than Young. Maybe cut ties with BJ and let those two battle it out in practice this season. Two veteran backups?!?!?!
