If they want to stockpile some vets to fight for a roster spot, interior OL would be the position(s) I'd recommend.
That was the 2nd year for both franchises and the NFL had changed the rules for the expansion and regular drafts to benefit both those new franchises over previous expansion teams.
If you think that is frustrating for a Jag or Panthers fan just imagine how it feels to be a Lions, Vikings or bears fan.
Mark Brunell was a good QB for them. Too bad he either didn't save his $ or made bad investment choices. I remember the Jags and Panthers took different approaches to building a team. One with younger players and the draft and the other with signing more vets.
Harbaugh's head is going to explode. That guy was yelling and screaming during the preseason games....
Lil' Jimmy Harbaugh is a very sweet boy.
people should stop acting like replacing Alex Smith with Collin Kaepernick was some "genius" and "gutsy" move. Smith got hurt, Kaep came in, killed it and after that the choice was pretty obvious.
I'll tell you what's a gutsy move - waving goodbye to a future Hall of Fame quarterback coming off a Pro Bowl season and giving his job to a guy with 35 completed passes on his resume.

Totally agree. Kind of an easy choice.
Jets cut RB Joe McKnight... coming to town.
whoa.
Whoa, didn't expect that
Must really not be happy with the kick returners.
Yeah, that doesn't bode well for Ross or maybe even Franklin? I'd be surprised if they gave up on Franklin so quickly, so I'd think that it's Ross who should be sweating
I think it is Green in this conversation.
Whether he sticks in GB or not, like the guys approach.
here 's a story on his behavior issues while in NY. Solid kick returner, but not a model citizen in NY.

that is NOT Joe McKnight's twitter account. False alarm.
here's the real account: https://twitter.com/OfficialJoeJet
Satan was rong!!??
Lol, NY media apparently believing it's real to then. Gotta love how easy it is to fool people on twitter
That "fake" account is following the real one
An unemployed one with a fake Twitter account.
My bad ya'll... the tweet showed up in my twitter feed, RT'd by some reputable sources. Would like to see him in GB.
the move actually makes a lot of sense so I think that's why people rolled with it.
I will note, however, that the last tweet on the "official" Joe McKnight account was July 12, 2012.
So it's possible he switched accounts.
This is all very confusing.
**EDIT**
@MikeGarafolo, McKnight has a workout with the #Packers tomorrow. Nothing more.
This ESPN story seems to indicate that it IS Joe McKnight's account
http://espn.go.com/new-york/nf...carted-rants-twitter
A Jets spokesman confirmed that the tweets came from McKnight.
So there we have it, just a workout. Haven't signed him just yet
Hmmm.
@NYJET_Prime: McKnight is 3rd ALL-TIME for kick return avg. 1. Gale Sayers, 30.6 2. Lynn Chandnois 29.6 and 3. McKnight 29.0.

felt bad about posting that until 2:14 mark
@NFL_ATL: Harbaugh: "We're the San Francisco 49ers. We can do whatever we want" http://on.nfl.com/14f4Fhr

Chickentool knows less about football than he does about baseball, and that ain't much.
Looks like if McKnight has a good workout TT will finally cut Green and sign McK. At least Starks had good games and McK can return kicks. Green hasnt flashed, has injury history and cannot help in the return game.
"Here I am. Here I am."
???????
Didn't see. Did you post that Harbaugh thing elsewhere?
Had a great workout with Green bay this morning. Thankful for the opportunity

Bears cut Edwin Williams and J'Marcus Webb. I know neither has had a very good camp, but both have been starters in the NFL. Williams can play both G and C. And Webb plays both T. Datko and Taylor have been disasters at their respective positions. Could Wiliams and/or Webb be better backup options?
