@Ravens: Jeremy Ross has been released after two fumbles in three games.
Lost track of him when the Lions cut him.

He's Darren Sharper as a returner but without the skills to play another position.
A muffed punt was apparently the last straw for Harbaugh. Packer fans can relate.
Can he do a down out and up?
Omigod the Earth will spin off its axis
@AaronWilson_NFL: Texans awarded quarterback Brandon Weeden off waivers from Cowboys, cut cornerback Jumal Rolle https://t.co/Lnp9XRuXml
Sept 22, 2015:
"This quarterback Weeden can drive the ball down field," Jerry Jones said. "He's a thing of beauty on throwing a football. His passing motion and his arm, frankly, you won't see a more gifted passer, power, accuracy, the entire aspect of it."

Interesting take. How was it ever decided that a dropped kick-off in football was deemed to be called a 'muff' and how was a breaking point/decision-making time be deemed 'pulling the last straw?'
a muff (among other things) is a handwarmer, so I would speculate muffing a punt is tied to that. There is no term "pulling the last straw" rather it is the last straw that broke the camel's back, meaning that one final small thing that did you in.
chickenboy, on the otherhand, just means dumbass.
Apparently, because “muff” is:

Hopefully “last straw” is a little less confusing.

Both are generic terms that can be (and are) applied to a number of situations – football being jus one of them. I have heard them used in other contexts outside of football.
Thank you El-Conde, I did confuse the camel breaking point with 'pulling' (or drawing) the SHORT straw.' It's good to have you around. It is interesting to think that just one piece of straw actually broke a beast's back but that is a discussion for another day. However, I have never called a 'handwarmer' a 'muff' and when I have dealt with 'muffs' generally I haven't wanted to, for lack of a better term, 'drop' it.
Muff: Vulgar Slang The vulva.
Yeah, that best describes the Packers play the last 3 weeks.
I can agree with vulgar.
I have dealt with 'muffs' generally I haven't wanted to, for lack of a better term, 'drop' it.
Nothing wrong with some muff diving.
wow bizarre.
I have a pretty good feeling that's the end of his career in SF.
Keep 'im healthy so he can be traded.
I've got a feeling Kaep is going to be playing for Chip and the Eagles next season.
If not he, Robert Griffin on a flyer.
Trade deadline passed, yes?
Still can't believe he signed that contract. Good for the Niners, bad for him.
He'll get league minimum somewhere with an incentive laden contract.
Obviously issues in the locker room or SF wouldn't have had to make this move
Wow. How the mighty have fallen. If, big IF, Chip makes it to next year, I can see Kaep going there. Griffin might be too fragile to get hit and run as often as Chippy wants, but Kaep isn't.
He's going to have surgery on his non-throwing shoulder. He must've talked to the coaches about doing it now so he could have longer to heal for next year.
My guess is he's still the QB for SF next year, unless they land someone early in the 2016 draft
Wonder what Jaworski thinks now.
I think most people are discounting the possibility that troubles in his person/love life affected his play this season.
Free agent safety DJ Swearinger visited the #Packers today, source said.
Replace Hyde ? Has he decided he will lower himself to play ST's ??
Free agent safety DJ Swearinger (see post above) signed with Arizona today.
In other news:
@WesHod: The #Seahawks released De Pere's Drew Nowak today. Started seven games at center for Seattle this year
He was expected to replace Max Unger who went to NO in the Jimmy Graham deal.
Seahawks announce release of DB Cary Williams. Three-year, $18M deal turns into 12-game, $7M deal. Another cautionary tale from free agency.

Not sure where to put this: Matt Rotheram and Christian Ringo now being paid as active roster players.

I guess sometimes you have to inve$t as part of the draft and develop.
And people say TT doesn't spend any money ..... HA!
@AdamSchefter: Former Broncos RB Montee Ball has been signed to Patriots' practice squad, per source.
Classic Billy. The Donkey playbook is being transcribed as I type.
Interesting development. I know he worked out for #Packers and they were unimpressed with his physical conditioning https://t.co/lJT7jVvpm4

They already had Phat Eddie.
Working out Ball was nothing more than motivation for Lacy to get his butt in gear. Like they said, Lacy fears having the game taken away from him. What better motivator than sitting his butt on the bench and bringing in another RB for a workout? It worked.
