Williams was sacked 9 times in the NE game. Nice OL, Bears front office!

Definitely their achilles heal.  But they were without both starting OTs and I think another G dropped right before KO.  They've gotta bunch of injuries on D too.

@AdamSchefter: Change in Chicago: Shane Waldron is out as the Bears offensive coordinator, per sources.

The Bears' offense has gone 23 consecutive possessions without scoring a touchdown. Their 277.7 yards per game ranks as the third worst in the NFL.

Bears now officially have announced that offensive coordinator Shane Waldron has been fired and offensive passing game coordinator Thomas Brown has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

Let me set this straight.

Chicago Bears did not trade #1 pick, which led them to missing out on 3 x 1st rd picks, 3 x 2nd rd picks, and a potential starter in the trade?

They then follow that up by not interviewing all of the available Head coaches like Ben Johnson and Harbaugh because they wanted to retain Eberflus?

They then did not hire OC Kingsbury that coached the QB they planned to draft. They hired a coach that was represented by the same agent as Flus and Poles?

Bears then traded Fields who had 1 year left of his rookie deal (4 million). For perspective, Nate Davis is making 11 million this year. Which means you traded him prior to seeing what the next QB would look like?

They then followed that up by only inviting Caleb Williams to a private visit and none of the other Qbs such as Daniels, Nix, Maye, McCarthy, or Penix. They were installing the offense prior to him being on the team?

They then did not invest their "other" 1st rd on the offensive line! They didn't trade down to get additional picks to address OT or interior OL. They drafted a WR (talented), but not the core issue?

They then realized that the offense is worst than it was with Fields, who had Getsy as a coach (Fired also). So they fired another assistant coach midseason? Whats that like...the 8th coach fired under Flus?

They then hear rumblings of players preferring the backup Tyson Bagent who was already on the roster the year prior over the #1 pick in the draft?

R. I. P Chicago Bears, Decades worth of draft capital in the drain!

Will see if they quit on the season this Sunday.   If there is any fight left in them, it would show up in the 1st rivalry game of the year.

I believe the Packers game will be their first NFC North game, of the season, so a whole lot of meaningful games coming up, in the division.

Saw this on FB:

Caleb Williams to punter Tory Taylor:  "Hey, you're not going to punt too much this year"

Tory Taylor has punted for 2,153 yards this season

Caleb Williams has passed for 2,021 yards.

Okay, but how was this not obvious to the Bears when it was obvious to everyone else?  Williams may have the physical skill, but he has no emotional maturity, mental ability, or offensive line.  Their plan was doomed from the start.

If GB jumps out to a 14-0 lead in the first half, I think the Bears may quit and the fans will be booing.

If GB lets them hang in the game (fairly likely), they will fight until the end.

Obviously, Love has a much higher ceiling for his career in terms of talent, but this is a game that Willis would probably win. A game manager QB wins this game.

As many on here have said, Love reminds us of Favre. Favre was the best QB in the history of the NFL for keeping both teams in the game. He was capable of lifting an entire team and beating an elite team because he could do things most other QBs couldn't. But he was also capable of losing games almost singlehandedly by making idiotic mistakes.

Love needs to play a clean game on Sunday and I think they win going away. You shouldn't need to take risks on throws against the Bears. You aren't playing the Chiefs or Lions where you feel like you have to score 7 every possession and a FG is a failed drive. A couple of silly picks would change this game fast.

This goes beyond classic.

@AdamSchefter:  Over the past decade, the Bears have gone on to fire their head coach in the same year they used a first-round pick on a quarterback.

It happened in 2017, after they drafted Mitch Trubisky second overall and then fired John Fox after that season.

Again in 2021 after they drafted Justin Fields 11th overall and then fired Matt Nagy after that season.

The Bears drafted Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick, and already fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron this past week.

The way Fishbain lays it out is priceless....and he fully expects the cycle to continue when they fire Flus

Patience is not a virtue in the Chicago.  Case in point, Mitch Trubisky.   He was 29 22 in a Bears uni.   No one ever thought he was great or he was the answer BUT was constantly cleaning house, wasting picks instead of propping him up the answer?    He may not have taken them to the SB but even a dysfunctional team could win games with him.

29 and 22 would look pretty good now in the Windy City.
