CHI radio guys did nothing but praise AR yesterday.  They hate him and can't wait for him to go away but almost unanimously loved the "I own you" incident.  Things ain't like they used to be.

Well, try Olin Kreutz and Lance Briggs on for size.

Last week Kreutz said he wanted to punch Rodgers in the face 😆

They're still talking about Rodgers even after the Bucs spanked em. 😄

Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, the team announced, leaving his status for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers in question.

Nagy, who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, said in a news conference he is not feeling any severe symptoms.

Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor is running in-person meetings that Nagy, who is working remotely, cannot attend.

So long as he remains asymptomatic, Nagy would need two negative tests at least 24 hours apart to be cleared to return to the team.

From this weeks SI Power rankings:

Taking a quick peek at the Bears’ schedule, did you realize that in their next six games we’re going to see them in prime time three times, plus a fourth game on Thanksgiving afternoon? That’s a lot of Bears football on TV. It’ll be worth it if we see more magic like that fourth-and-1 touchdown scramble from Justin Fields. But something tells me we will be pulling our collective hair out by the fourth time we’re gathering as a country to watch this team.

The Bores sure have had poor return on investment in Mack.

Tsk.

If your QB is not at least above average, it usually doesn't matter how good your other guys are. If the Packers had added a guy like Mack in 2018, they might have won another Super Bowl. But if they had, they probably would not have had Elgton Jenkins, Rashan Gary, Stokes, and Savage on relatively cheap contracts right now.

In the last 29 years, at least 23 winners have had a QB that was a Hall of Famer or a future HOFer (and it's 25 if you count Eli Manning as a Hall of Famer). The exceptions are the Ravens twice (Flacco and Dilfer), Bucs (Brad Johnson), and the Eagles (Foles).

The Ravens and Bucs (both times) had historically great defenses. The Eagles title is the single biggest outlier in the last 30 years. They probably have one future HOFer on that team (Fletcher Cox). That's it. And the head coach still got fired within 3 years.

A lot of fans aren’t classy.  Some of them are flat out jerkoff assholes.

I am a coach on our daughters 14U traveling softball team.  It’s amazing some of the shit you see and hear at these games.  If it’s not some other coaches acting like complete tools it’s the overzealous and obnoxious parents that can be hard to stomach.

The older daughter made it to state sectionals for HS tennis and the head coach of her team had to confront one team and their coach because they were actually yelling and screaming and taunting members of our team during live play.  A couple of the parents almost got into it.   For a minute I thought someone might show the hands.

Sports has become like just like anything else going on in the world.  People think they can say and do whatever the fuck they want.   Forget sportsmanship and etiquette, it’s cheer and taunt and yell and win at any cost.  Decency and respect is out the window for some of these rubes.

Matt Nagy probably deserves to be fired, but it’s classless to take it out on his kid in a game he’s playing.
