If only Aikman were a talented broadcaster.

I'd rather listen to 5 hours of Aikman scratching his fingernails across a blackboard & singing the Cowboys fight song instead of 5 minutes of Bayless speaking about any topic.

Detroit must be very desperate for tallant on their D-Line:

DEFENSIVE LINE (11)

Making cut: Ziggy Ansah, Devin Taylor, Wallace Gilberry, Brandon Copeland, Anthony Zettel, Kerry Hyder,Haloti Ngata, Tyrunn Walker, A’Shawn Robinson, Khyri Thornton, Stefan Charles

Missing cut: Caraun Reid, Gabe Wright

While the Sitton thing is still infuriating, glad we have TT managing our cap.  Saints are just pushing the pain out a few more years.......

Jerry is also good at that.  Romo is a Cowboy at least through 2017 b/c of the deferred money - cutting Romo this offseason triggers ~$20m in dead money.  Insane for a 37 year old QB that has broken his back twice and collarbone twice in the last 3 years.

Very surprised by this.

That's because they don't give a $hit about the future. They'll (Payton/Brees) be gone & pass all the crap onto the next regime.

It's the Bobby Beathard principle. Remember how he kept trading next years first rounder? Same thing...

Holding out all that time must've been hard on his hammies. He's been nursing one for a couple of weeks or so now...

Agree with MM. Tough to get guys to stay healthy when your training is limited, especially when football is so hard on the body. They wanted less time for training due for prevention of injuries, but it has backfired.

I'm sure the Bungels would love to unload his 2 million cap number, but why would GB want to take that on? A change in location could yield positive results, but not for that kind of coin. Knile Davis is charging $400K to the cap, that's why he was as good an option as there was available...low risk/high reward is the name of the game.

"High reward" is a relative term that varies by position. A high reward for a CB is getting INTs and not allowing passes (among other things obviously), a much harder feat to accomplish. High cap number for unknown reward is the problem with Dennard. Maybe he only costs a late round pick, which is tolerable, but would you pay $2M for production that may or may not be better than what Gunter already produces? If you're going to take a high risk on a player who will cost some coin, go for someone you actually know can play in this league, like Joe Haden.

The upside to Davis is that you have an OLine that can open holes in the run game, holes that even bad RBs could run through. Low investment for a player who could potentially contribute well. If he doesn't contribute or gets hurt, you're only  out $400K and a late round pick. Much more tolerable.

So we are going to trade for the Bengals 4th CB, who would be their 5th if not for injury? This writer feels this trade should happen? Why?

It would be BOLD!

NE traded Jamie Collins to Cleveland today for a future third round pick.

This trade makes all kinds of sense.  To absolutely no one. At all. I mean, first Bill sends Chandler Jones to AZ and now Jamie Collins?

Im sorry, but this one is going to bite Bill in the ass. Yes, Jamie was in a contract year. But WTF kind of move is this?!?!?!

Or just maybe crafty teddy traded for him and told fat Mike to make him look bad and then cut him so nobody picks him up so he doesn't owe a draft pick just to bring him back and he gains 3000 yards before the end of the season

Looks like Davis' roster spot is about to be taken by Linsley, who is eligible to be activated.  Per JSO, Tretter hurt his knee on the second to last play and had to be helped to walk from the locker room.

They have two weeks after they begin practicing again to decide, correct? Will come down to; 1) The health / condition of each player 2) The health and performance level of the other players at their position. 3) The long term plans the organization has for each player.

He's in love with rookie Elandon Roberts and has backups of Mingo, Van Noy and McClellin, all of whom he acquired this year.
