Bennett just quoted Dr. Seuss. Say what you will about the Bennett brothers, they are their own men.
Dr. Seuss. You win Martellus.

I have a friend that's a very pissed off Bear fan now that Martellus is in Green & Gold.
Has Martellus Bear jersey too
Did he chaff on Peppers too? Though he may have taken comfort in his I'll advised directions to Burnett in the 14 NFCC.
Saw some pics of AR and Bennett standing next to each other in camp today. Bennett is one massive TE. Rodgers is 6'2".
Christ, just his legs alone. His legs are almost as tall as the guy in front of him.
Yes, hyperbole. Get over it.

Ha! So true, Henry. I didn't even know what that was until I had met my wife out here. She's a Bakersfield girl who introduced me to that wonderful culinary delight (um, the avocado on toast that is!).
Sub Avocado slices for the basil leaves in a Caprese, well worth the effort.
Dropping it? That just seems like a waste. Snowflake.
Grave Digger posted:The only thing I forgot in those thoughts was about Josh Jones. I wasn't impressed with how he moved in individual drills, he seemed stiff and a little awkward in his backpedal. His straight line speed seemed on par with other Safeties, but I thought he was a little heavy footed. He's BIG, not crazy tall, but bulky as hell. He looks more like a LB than a S. I have a hunch he moves down to LB as often as he plays S.
No Aaron Rouse jinx. If I had to bet he's lining up more as LB than S even though that position seems fluid. If he actually takes off I'm guessing Joe Thomas is moving on.
Burnett took snaps at ILB with the 1s on D next to Thomas today. Brice and Ha Ha at S. Situational passing D. Right???

That would be a neat trick. But we are called Titletown
Re: fibonacci sequence
Did John Urschel inspire you?
If GB wins a SB in Minny I'm counting it as two titles. If Rodgers thanks the state of Minny for letting them use the tool shed and says he's thankful no one was crushed by zinc panels it's three titles. If Guion wins the MVP, hits a bong and empties a 9mm clip through the glass roof it's five titles.

Considering how they continue to get gashed down the middle of the field I would not be surprised if these guys are splitting spots 50/50. So essentially Thomas, Jones, Burnett.
I'm not overly optimistic on how this defense handles hybrid players but the risk is worth it.
Now if they start the season and we see the conventional (if there is such a thing) D, I'll be scratching my head . . . among other things.
Nail. Meet hammer.

I'm in Bakersfield and the stuff is fantastic. Try Cafe Smitten downtown for their version if your wife ever visits.
I'm curious as to how this camp plays out for Mini Hawk and Martinez.

I didn't know Donald Driver is in the Navy!
They'll see more snaps vs "running teams" like MIN and anyone else without a QB.
Merrill Steubing is wearing glasses, and Isaac Washington has put on a good deal of weight.
Best part of Packers shareholder agreement? Roger Goodell can fine you up to $500,000 for conduct detrimental
F you Goodell.
Come and get me. I bet $5 on the Packers to beat the Cowboys last year.
Mmmm caprese. Speaking of, tomato plants are getting hot. Registered 100 degrees the other day.
There wasn't too much interesting stuff I saw today, it was pretty much the same as yesterday. Couple things that stuck out:
- HaHa had two nice picks against Rodgers. He seems to have taken over as the emotional leader of the team. Everyone seems to feed of his energy and enthusiasm. The picks he had were Rodgers fault, but they weren't easy grabs, he's show great range and ball skills.
- Monty stuck out again as a receiver, guy is lightning quick. Kendricks also stuck out again.
- Offense couldn't get much going, they had sporadic big plays and then a few bad plays.
- Murphy was the first guy off the bench at RG, giving Evans a break with the #1 unit. They weren't rotating, I think they just wanted to give Murphy a look with the 1's.
- Couple of bad collisions in non-padded practice: Janis and Marian Evans collided in midair, both got up slow. Jordy and I think Randall collided on another instance. Both got up slow but seemed fine after a minute. Scary though.
Rumor Mill: my cousin lives in the same neighborhood as Jordy and Nick Perry. She's two doors down form Perry, said he plays with his kids a lot (younger kids, under 5 she guessed) and seems like a really good dad. Her best friend is friends with Jordy's wife. The wife has apparently been telling friends this is his last year in GB. Apparently they're saying GB is planning to move on after this year and if so, Jordy will retire and move back to Kansas. He's not interested in going anywhere else, so if they decide to keep him he will play, otherwise he's retiring. TIFWIW.
Has the defense stopped anyone in TC yet? Anyone go to observe the practice?
GD - sorry, overlooked your update.

You did a good job of not owning that.....that said, Jordy does seem to love football and the passion he brought to rehab tells me he ain't hanging it up anytime soon.
Comes down to health.
Jordy will get another deal if he wants one.
TT likes to keep his chicks in the barn

Ha. Too funny. Yeah, she was a Bakersfield North grad years ago. I'll let her know. She doesn't get up there much anymore but I know we always try to eat Basque food at Noreiga's.
Thanks for sharing, GraveDigger! Very Interesting stuff.
I won't defend it, it's rumor among soccer moms, nothing more. I thought it was interesting to mention though because life after Jordy doesn't get talked about much. He's been such a constant on the team like Donald Driver was. On some level it makes sense...they drafted two WRs, Adams is up for a new, Jordy is 32. Maybe he's planning to retire regardless of what GB wants to do. We've seen several players retire prematurely the last couple of years, Jordy strikes me as a guy who would rather be with his wife and kids than try and extend his career to pile up money. He has a ring, he's made a sh*t load of money, he's set records (Packer records at least), what more does he have to prove?
Barring injury, there's NO way the Packers will move on from Jordy while he's still under contract.
#Packers rookie Justin Vogel has punted nine times vs. a rush in camp. He's averaging 49.77 yards, 4.34 hang. Those numbers will win a job.

Vogel continues to play well. Early, but they may have found a punter.
It shouldn't be overlooked that there is a new LS in camp. Derek Hart. Might take some time for everyone to adjust. But Cosby made 6 of 7 FGs.
Trevor Davis went down. So 7 different reports report when he got back up at TC coverage at Packers News. One or two would have worked for me. I am sure there are others things for the others to report.
Pringle made a nice play on Yancey to break up a pass. Pringle also made at least one play where he got his hands on another pass in Friday's practice. But that one was deflected so that the WR still caught it. At least Pringle seems to be keeping up and winning some battles.
Is that what you see GD?
CB Quinten Rollllins has owned Randall Cobb today. Hasnt given him an inch all day. Just picked off Rodgers in EZ on another throw to Cobb.

Couple thoughts from today:
- Coverage across the board was exceptional. Adams and Jordy made some highlight reel catches against very tight coverage. House, Rollins, Randall, Donatello Brown, Marwin Evans, Brice all made some really nice plays in coverage. I didn't notice Pringle specifically, the QBs struggled to find open targets. King was the only one I saw blow a coverage, but I think he just ran the wrong direction in Zone, looked like a rookie mistake. Marwin Evans had a couple good breakups and a nice INT against Hundley I believe.
- New punter continues to boom punts. Guy was crushing them. Didn't see any problems as a holder, Crosby's miss was on him. He was kicking from the right hash and doinked it off the left upright.
- Allison has had the best 3 days of any of the WRs. He's catching everything, easy catches and circus catches. I think he's cementing himself as the #4.
- Trevor Davis has a rough day. Dropped a kick, a punt, and a pass and then got injured. The pass was especially frustrating because he was open down the seem and Rodgers hit him in the numbers with a laser...just dropped it. I'm guessing it was a concussion based on they treated him and how he was acting. They didn't look at arms or legs and he wasn't favoring anything.
- Max McCaffrey was the go-to for the other QBs, he didn't get much time with Rodgers. Yancey made a nice grab and dropped one later. Dupre made a nice catch and then got popped by Josh Jones, almost started a fight. Bennett had a couple nice Red Zone grabs and Kendricks continues to impress, I don't think he's dropped a pass yet.
- Jamal Williams looked really good, he made some really nice cuts and showed good burst/speed. He and Ty were the top RBs, the other guys didn't do much.
- A lot of penetration from the interior DL. The defense as a whole would have ended up with a bunch of sacks today if it weren't practice. Jayrone had an insane speed move where he bent the edge against Murphy and was almost horizontal. It was a sack for sure.
I know its waaay early, but I love hearing good stuff about our defense. Of course, if I remember right, defense usually does better at the start of training camp anyway. Elliot is due for a breakout and that move he made going around the edge is what Clay used to have.
Defense always gets a little frisky the first day everyone puts pads on.
Nobody coordinates better than Dom in July.

hey thanks, GD. Just Curious, both AR and Hundley had some trouble finding open receivers? If the WR's were making great catches in tight coverage, does that mean the QB's were putting the ball where only the WR's could catch it?
