CHILLIJON sure had an interesting HS career.

The worst thing I did in HS was to turn a math teachers desk around on April Fools Day.  Two of us got to the room early.  The thing is, I and the guy helping me realized the center of gravity might not be in the middle of the desk.  So we "test lifted" the desk just enough to find where it balances - which took about two trials - then we turned it around with no problems.  The teacher and the rest of the class showed up about ten minutes later.  They came a few at a time.  When the teacher noticed that the desk was turned around, he just assumed it was the two class clowns.  He called them up to turn it back.  But they bitterly complained that they did not do it.  The teacher did not believe them.  So they grabbed the desk, picked it up, and everything fell toward the drawer side onto the floor.  The drawers also opened and stuff fell out.  The teacher then knew those two guys didn't do it.  But he couldn't envision anyone else doing it either.  So while he looked disappointed, he was otherwise cool about it and got more students (not myself or the guy who helped me) to turn it around.  Then picked everything up and tried to put a good face on the class.  The situation was a little awkward for me.

I was a farm boy and a wrestler. The night before our final senior assembly, a couple wrestling buddies came to the farm and we caught 6 pigeons.  As I was receiving an award (didn’t know that was happening) the birds were released in the auditorium. Chaos and schitt followed.

My buddies and I from the football team got a pass for a project in the coaches room, after football season no one remembered where we were supposed to be so we just kept going there and played euchre for the rest of the year.

"When you look back on all the crap you learned in high school, it's a wonder you can think at all?"

I had a mandatory Industrial Arts course in 7th grade at Washington Jr High in Green Bay. 4 half semester blocks of drafting, woodshop, metal shop and printing. It's a little strange as the drafting and printing techniques taught are completely obsolete due to computers. I had little engagement then and don't work in the trades but I guess the exposure gave me enough confidence that I've never hired a carpenter. I have 18 saws.

Print shop was the only time I saw a teacher hit a student. We were making paper using a metal washtub and stirring the mixture with an electric drill. The kid holding the drill dropped it into the water and another kid says "I got it!" and reaches into the water. The instructor is standing across from him and punches him in the middle of his chest, knocking him on his ass. I don't know if the kid was shocked but we were by how fast the teacher was.

Sophomore year. Unlocked Geometry teachers desk while he went for walks during tests and stole his stack of Hustler magazines. Took photos of them with a 35mm SLR and then developed them in 6th period graphic arts class (and this was old school Greg Brady dark room development stuff) and then put the Hustler cover black and whites back in his desk that showed his name and address along with requested grades.

Got an A in that class. Don’t know much geometry.....

Mr Studdard should have stayed closer to his desk.

This was 4 of us on the baseball team in Mr Studdards class. We just wanted to prove out those Hustlers. I was the one in Mr Odegards Graphic Arts class. That's where the darkroom negative development idea came from. We knew no one was getting worse than a B after we slipped those black and whites into his desk.

Got a D in German that year. And my mom was born in Dusseldorf.

TJ Lang has been constantly hurt since signing with the Lions. Has back injury again and looks like he won't play.

As the sayin' goes, Sometimes it's better to move on a year early than a year late...

Sad, but true. They were excellent Packers, but TT was right in letting them walk.

My brother almost cut his thumb off working in a shop with no guard on the table saw -- and few guards on any machine. Amazingly, the very day after that incident, the guard reappeared.

Nowadays, that teacher probably would get sued for everything he was worth even though he was doing it to save the kid's life.

Browns just announced they will cut Josh Gordon Monday.  Will be inactive tomorrow.

Guy is a talent on the field and a disaster off.  Apparently he showed up late for practice and did "not appear to be himself (drugs?)".  He seriously should not be playing football and should seek long-term medical/psychological help.

Gutey should kick the tires. He could be had for league minimum.

EDIT: I posted that before Shefter tweeted that there are multiple teams interested in trading for him. The Packers should NOT do that.

This is NOT your best post ever.

Patriots getting ready to announce deal for Josh Gordon. Tommy was throwing quite the sideline fit yesterday so it should surprise no one they've decided to roll the dice on Gordon.

I'm not going to be at all surprised with whatever happens to Gordon.  He could end up going to NE, keep himself clean, and be an important cog in the machine. He could just as easily be suspended before he does anything at NE and then they are no worse off than now.

or he could go to NE and after his first game check go on a binge and poof - money and time wasted.  he's had his chances, lots of chances.  any team that thinks bringing him in is a road to better will be greatly mistaken.

Gordon to Patriots is not a surprise. I expected it as soon as the news broke this weekend that Browns were moving on. With pot legal in MA, it will take some kind of Tommy's girl-friend magic to keep him clean.

I'm wondering what the deal is with Dez. Has he become the Kaperdick of WRs?
Is he asking for too much money?
At face value, he would seem to have lots more to offer than Gordon, and the Cheatriots aren't the only team hurting for WRs, yet he remains unsigned...

PS:  I don't have a link.

But the report I saw said that the Browns would have signed him but he was asking for to much money.  Dez is all about himself.  If he were truly looking to play football he would take less and prove himself.  But he thinks no team can get along without him - but for Dez - "News Flash" - they already are.  He is just TO in a different body.  He thinks some team is going to "NEED" him so badly they will pay his price.  Dumb.  Teams with WR injury trouble have been looking elsewhere for help.  Look at it this way, if JJ and the Cowboys had enough of you, do you really think another team would want you???!!!
