Agree, TDog. Just because my year is over at my job doesn't mean I can tank and get the big raise I want next year.
Quinten Rollins released by the Cardinals. Doesn't get much worse than that 2015 draft class.
Balled.
You play to win the game. That is all.
The #Packers have signed WR Allen Lazard from the #Jaguarsâ practice squad, source said.

Also Aaron Jones to IR.
6-5 227. Big receiver. Might as well raid other practice squads at this point.
Not a fan of tanking? Tell that to the Spurs the one crap year they had and got Duncan.
wonder if there's more to the story? Josh Gordon stepping away to focus on his mental health. Interesting timing....
He's a hardcore alcoholic. That comes with some baggage.
Also has a lot of issues of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression and uses Marijuana as a coping mechanism. Thus, the impending suspension "for drug" related violations that's coming
yep, suspended by the NFL.
https://profootballtalk.nbcspo...ion-for-josh-gordon/
that was my fear for him - when the going gets good do you stay the course or LET'S PARTY!!!!
Take your money Josh, give it to someone who you trust and won't let blow it when you're on the skids. Take a year and go through every form of therapy. Good luck kid.
So he released his statement knowing he was about to be suspended? That would be less impressive than walking away from a legit shot at a SB. Either way, more power to him to get right.
Good luck

Thatâs what it looks like. Itâs unfortunate that heâs wasting his talent, but heâs also fortunate to have made a lot of money from his talent. Hopefully heâll get himself together before he blows through his money and really ruins his life. The odds are probably against that happening though.
Addiction is a terrible disease. Itâs a disease that tells the mind that itâs ok and does not have it. Millions of friends and families know that the ones who have it donât act rationally. âJust Quitâ simply does not work. Their ego wonât let the person do what is in their best interest.
I think the question "does football help or hinder Josh's internal issues?" is one that Josh needs to address. This is starting to be verbalized by some in the sports media. I think that there is a chance it could be a wash.

Aided by David Robinson injured and out for the year.

I like this Lazard kid from the Draft reporting. Hoping he gets to play soon.
Browns got a 5th round pick for Gordon, right? Good for them

I think he said he talked to the Packers pre-draft and they were looking at him as a TE. Needs some beef.
Really cool article about our new RB Bibbs.
Without reading anything I know this much about Bibbs, his parents were assholes.
Unless his full name is Kapriciouz. Racist.
My father would've loved this kid.
Bibbs, back home in Chicago, wanted to be a part of the action. He wanted to feel what the players felt. So Bibbs did the craziest thing imaginable. Instead of putting on one of his three Brett Favre jerseys, Bibbs turned off the heat in his house, opened the windows and sat shirtless in front of the living room television.
According to the Weather Underground, the temperature in Chicago on the night of Jan. 20, 2008, was six degrees.
Six. Degrees.
Hey Dad, is it okay if I don't die of hypothermia in our own house?
Maybe the Packers should sign DJ Swearinger. According to some pundits, he and HaHa were the best safety tandem in the league....
If Swearinger is any good, by all means, bring him in. I don't know nothing about him other than his buddyship with HaHa. If Swearinger isn't a matador it's an improvement.
Not impressed with Josh Jones at safety to date. seems to always be a step or two late.
"Packers are better off with Brice and Jones at Safety"
Sincerely, Every QB in the NFL not named Rodgers.
You forgot Tramon "the speedster" Williams.
Source: the Raiders and Packers both submitted a waiver claim on new Cardinals S D.J. Swearinger. Arizona had top priority based on its 3-12 record.

I thought waiver claims went by 2017 record or 2018 draft order or some stupid crap like that? Didnât the Packers put in a waiver claim for a player last year and it got awarded to the Lions even though the Packers had the worse record at the time? People said the Lions got awarded cuz of their record the prior year
The prior season's record only applies for the first few games of the season (4 or 5?). The order then reverts to the current season.
I'm not sure on this but once you claim a guy and he is awarded to you, you have to go to the end of the line. So then 30 teams would have to pass on some one before he would be awarded to you.
Kyle Fuller. Khalil Mack. DJ Sweringer.
Gute didnât get the guys he wanted.
But heâs trying. Love that.
The problem is the guys he got.
Here's a link that doesn't come from a fan website.
Yooper and Heyward are both correct.
Couldn't confirm Ammo's info, but this seems to be an abridged version of waiver rules.

No. The problem is the coaches he didnât fire 10 months ago.
But heâs firing them now and trying and looking to improve the roster all the time.
Love the desire to churn this roster every chance he gets.
Antonio Brown wants to be traded. I wonder what it would take to get him? Package with one of our first round picks plus two more picks? Or, is it too much to give up because we have too many holes to fill?
Too many holes. Can't catch a ball when your QB is getting smoked. I think the "you can't fill all your holes" sentiment is true (only if you don't try) but the problem with this team is there's zero depth at some positions. That's what makes draft picks so precious.

Too many holes and a locker room problem. Did you see what Ryan Clark said about him? When Clark was Brown's teammate, he told guys that as soon as Brown was paid, he would become a major diva. He also said that Brown would go Facebook Live when coaches were talking, etc. Not a guy you want when you are, in essence, rebuilding/restructuring/reigniting your team.
