You can only do this in your first year. Gute is safe this year and next year.  What the team does on year three gets him renewed or fired.  Now to see how big a delta there is between 14 and 27.

Wonder if Isaiah Oliver is the target that late? Trading back is better than overdrafting if they don’t like what available. We weren’t the only ones to pass on James and Edmunds, must be something there. If you don’t feel that there is actually an impact player there, why not.

One f,n time in a decade we have a chance at an impact player - 2 of them and we trade it away U HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME are we allergic to making picks that are good players or what?

And Rodgers is 35.

So we're hoping the Saint's suck next year?

Not likely. The Packers probably have 2 late round 1st round picks next year.

Yes #30 & #32 😁

They needed to draft a defense to be a late pick next year.

They just conceded to wait out the defense this year and play for next year.

Our next to frequent next to worst in the NFL for 5 years running is about to add another year.

Saints have been flirting on an all out collapse for years now. Brees is getting ancient, Payton's clearly worn out his welcome...Gutey may have just earned himself a free top 10 pick for next year.

Please explain how the defense is going to get us to the "late 1st round" next year.

Don't let disappointment cloud your brain.  Aaron Rodgers is that good.

By having 12 more picks this draft and a GM still working in FA.

Rodgers buoyed that turd defense for years. Not much of a leap to do it again with a competent DC.
