I wish the Saints were on the schedule next year.
That starts the predicted late first round run on Centers.
2 4ths and 4 5ths - wonder if he will make another bundle deal and move into the 3rd

I'm far from the only person making this comparison.
Many mocks had GB taking Alex at 14. I hope the hall he doesn't have small hands.

Ok, that’s the second time you’ve said this. And twice bleep Gutenkunst.
Please stop crying.

How about T-Buck?

You're right, we should all slobber over every pick because they're the greatest ever!
Alexander scares the heck out of me. He's a cocky shrimp with grabby hands and an injury history.
Packers are going to trade their 2nd and a 4th to move back up to Seattles pick at 27
Packers director of college scouting Jon-Eric Sullivan on Jaire Alexander's height (5-10 ¼): "He doesn't play like a little guy. He's very competitive. He gets in people's business. He talks a little bit, most corners do." https://t.co/e8iIYP639w pic.twitter.com/TCJlLHtprl

There is a middle ground between slobbering and blubbering
Ridley would be hell on wheels in NE I think.

then we don't have a pick until the 4th, dont see it but the guy is doing all kinds of stuff tonight.

Similar size also, but don't have numbers for as direct a comparison. I also don't remember Buckley having holding issues, but that was quite a while ago.
Love this pick. Not butthurt that I'm not the gm and didn't get what I thought we should get.
Getting that 1 next year tells me a lot about the gftiohfswghhuu era.
and also, NFL network coverage sucks tonight, can't believe it but ESPN is better....
Overreaction Thursday. New GM trades his first ever draft pick, and the F bombs fly. Bed wetting ensues.
Get a clue people. We had no idea who the Packers were targeting. We have a good number of needs. More pass rushers. A completely revamped secondary. A new right tackle to protect the franchise would be nice. Another receiver to compliment ‘te to make the franchise happy.
You can’t judge a GM’s football intelligence based on a single pick. And jumping off the ledge because the Packers moved down four slots ultimately (picking up a first next year) is the definition of insanity.

Are you on your smartphone? Because I don't get those options on my smartphone. I think Boris said once it has something to do with the size of the screen.
I'm on my tablet right now, and do get those options.
Good pick by the Patriots. Chad Clifton-like, I'd guess.

Carroll's measurables were actually a bit better, but they're scarily similar.
I'm going to give him a chance to play first.
They selected the same player they would have at #14 & acquired a 1st rounder next year.
Even if he busts, that's a win for the Packers
Would anyone give up the 1st the Pack got from the Saints for next years draft to move back into the first round?
And now it's back! WTF???

at the time, we had no idea he would move back up - and it is his first draft, so no, we have no basis to go off - so its not unbelievable that we would crap our pants, when we had 2 really good prospects sitting there. i would have stayed and picked edmunds btw. i had flashbacks of owning the 7th round ala teddy.

Turn your phone to landscape mode .You'll see 'em
Gute must have traded away my features and then traded them back in.

I disagree. I think they didn't get good enough value in the trade and then gave up their 3rd where there's a lot of value in this draft, IMO.
Had they gotten #91 instead of #147 I could agree with you.

The way I see it is they can start throwing picks at LB and OL now. Two picks on OL minimum. ****ing Spriggs.
I don’t hate the pick but I’m not claiming to love it either. He is a midget. I don’t know if they’ll try to pull another starter in the backfield but I wouldn’t be surprised if they felt confident with the collection of vets and young guys to go with King and Alexander.

If there was someone there they didn't think they'd get with their 2nd rounder and had to have, I wouldn't complain.

By what remains, they have plenty of juice to move up into the 3rd and maybe even the 2nd if they choose.
Hopefully all those 4th and 5th rounders can get them back into the 3rd.
I wouldn't be shocked if Gute trades the Pack's number 1 next year (keep the Saints 1) to get into the first few second round picks should the right guy slip. Could address edge and WR in R2.
At least we know the roller coaster won't be part of the rookie team building exercise.
Alexander was projected by a lot of people at 14. Gute got him and a gift first rounder for his efforts. He is projected to be an instant starter. He was one of the BPA at 18. He was top 20 in many 100 boards.
He has to produce. But you can’t argue the execution wasn’t exceptional.
