Everyone wanted GB to get faster, we have two starting CBs with sub-4.45 speed. Love this pick, this kid is going to be exactly what we needed.

Great point. It's really a steal overall, between King and this kid, we have some reinforcements and still have, what, 11 more picks?
Some point we've got to fix the pass rush and the ****bags we call LBs
What exactly was the trade?

Tomorrow night
We also have multiple mid round picks, so we could easily move back up into the mid-3rd from our first pick in the 4th and still get some quality mid-round guys.
Gute played that exceptionally well.
Pack needed a CB with Trubisky dropping bombs the next 15 years. Good pick.

I think we got 18 and a 7th rounder, Seattle got 27 and our 3rd rounder.
Thank you
Second best CB on the board, sub 4.4 speed, played a lot of press coverage at Louisville. Pettine gets the fix on the back end of his D.
So the mocks for the most part had the pick right at #14, but the team wrong. And all the spec about a CB is right, just not the right guy. Finally, both the trade down guys and the trade up guys were right. Who could have guessed?
That’s the way I understand also GD

Someone needs to catch those INTs.

Agreed, with lots more picks to make.
What sucks is I get to work tomorrow and Saturday. F U work!
So, we basically traded a 3rd and a 6th round pick for a 5th this year and a 1st next year.
Given the mocks, I wouldn't be surprised if they had Alexander targeted all along.
So in the end, we get a top corner, right where he belongs. Give up a 3, get a 5. AND a #1 as a bonus for next year. If the saints hadn’t reached for Davenport, he might well have been there at 18.
Look at all these fat Texans and their thick cankles

Trubisky's only dropping F-bombs.
Gute got Cute & won!
First next year & still got the guy we were going to pick at #14.
Now THAT is using the draft correctly

Cowpokes suck
Ahmad Carroll returns.
Mayock had him as the second best CB. I like his draft analysis best. We also have a dynamic returner. Love that he brings some attitude and confidence. We need some attitude on that D.
Cowboys improve.

The returner part of this is exciting...

I almost found a snowdrift to jump off of, seems like he righted the sitution

Carroll's measurables were actually a bit better, but they're scarily similar.

Whatever, moron.
Carroll. Dumb as a post, poor ball skills, straight line speed but no wiggle.
Alexander has none of those things
Herschel posted:Ahmad Carroll returns.
I like your optimism.
Now the Packers can win the Super Bowl and STILL get a high first round pick when the Saints tank.
Solid pick for the Loins. Maybe a little early, but Ragnow is gonna be solid interior OL'man for a long time.
From this article in January about a Pettine defense: " Pettine in the past has liked having one taller, long-armed corner with a smaller, athletic corner." https://packerswire.usatoday.c...nes-packers-defense/
it looks like this was the plan all along. King is the taller and long armed guy (6'3" 200), and now Alexander fills the "smaller, athletic" role. So those pieces are in place, now they both just have to play like #1 picks.

Carroll had more issues being a ding dong than his height. I get the comparison without a doubt. He is a bit shrimpy but Carroll was labeled immature coming into the draft. Alexander seems to be 180 on that front.
