How many is this the point where we say thanks so much good for cutting f****** Jordi and also for drafting three miserable pieces of f***? All the while getting lucky enough to have a f****** uw-whitewater scrub make the team Billy Schrader?

Maybe gefilte fish should stay away from drafting wide receivers in the future.

Perhaps David Rye can suck one. Anybody familiar with the Gamecocks program would know that Kurt Roper former offense of coordinator had a dude on the sidelines who wore a green hat name Matthew Sims Symmes. The same Matthew Sims is now going to be probably the quarterbacks coach for the Steelers. He's a green hat and little dude who graduated from duke. So f*** David Rye.

And so to sum up this is about as mad as I've been at Mike McCarthy since I been a fan of the Packers and Mike McCarthy's been a coach.

Opie has been booming the snot outta the ball, but can he directional kick?
Can he hit the coffin corner?

In ****ty weather, that's my biggest question.  If Opie can get sweet hang time like he is at the batting cage that's always a bonus.  I don't give a **** how far he's booming a punt if it just rolls out the back of the endzone.

I’m actually more concerned with Kevin King getting dinged (again) and Alexander with a groin than the rookie WRs.

They can run the ball more or feature more 2-TE sets.   Nothing wrong with that.

I'm actually more concerned about Brak......thoughts and prayers.

MM has acknowledged that not bringing up Gilbert earlier from the PS was a mistake. Not sure what the deal is with Spriggs unless they've just reached the conclusion that he can't play.

Edit: Here's the story on Spriggs.

When asked in the after-game presser about why Spriggs did not start , MM at first said "Bell earned it", but then went on to say "something happened later in the week" .....sounds more like a negative with Spriggs as opposed to a positive with Bell that "happened".

It's not a good sign either way.  I'm fine with Bell getting more work to get in sync but tackle depth is about as good as OLB depth at this point.  Like CJ mentioned, Cole Madison going MIA hurts.  I would guess Gunta Ginte will probably be scanning the upcoming waiver wires, which isn't much better.  If this team stays immaculately healthy, dangerous team.  It's been awhile since I've seen this much of drop off when it comes to backups.  Too many Goodsons, Fackrells, Spriggs and Davis' on this team.

At least they are actually moving guys around like Gilbert to get the reps they deserve.  I'm curious as to how the final cutdowns shake out when it comes to Gunte and Super OC.

I've read Doris Day had the best game as an OL.  Don't know anything else about him.  Also saw some good things about Alex Light at LT, whoever that is.  Goodandplenty may be unearthing some OL finds.

Looks like Rodgers/Bak may play a bit on Thursday..

Tyler Hilinski takes cues from Cole Madison

Hilinski had CTE

Hilinski shot himself with a teammates .223 rifle and died by suicide. An autopsy revealed that Tyler had CTE, likely caused by playing football and his parents believe that heavily contributed to his suicide. In another article, Hilinski's autopsy revealed he had the brain of a 65 year old.

Pure guess: Cole may be 2nd guessing whether to play football again after someone he was very close to died with CTE being a key cause. 2.) I have no idea which teammates gun this was, but could it have been Cole's?

Either way, horrible story. And we have no idea how badly this affected Cole.

I was thinking a family issue somehow.  But those make more sense.  Can a player with either of those be place on IR?  Would give GB a chance to give him a year to come back.  If he is not willing to come back I see another OL draft pick or three in GBs future.

If Cole did retire this year, that would make number three this year who quit.  Filipo Mokofisi and Paris Bennett retired.  Clark is still on the did not report list along with Cole - as far as I know.

I finally got to see the Packers-Titans game a second time today and I was very surprised how well Kendall Donnerson and James Looney played.  Looney looks like Dean Lowry II and Donnerson appeared to have that sudden speed around the QB or RB that is important for good players so as bummed as I was about  Cole Madison and the reason for his absence I thought those two late round guys stood out.

This was meant to show the merits in the play of Oren Burks, but Ahmad Thomas
