Restraining orders are not to be trifled with.
Per the NFLN, Rapport and Pellisero, packers and Rodgers working on a short term deal.
It said on the scroll. Short term.
So, pay an obscene, potentially backbreaking amount of money to an aging qb who has underperformed in two consecutive home playoff losses and then let him walk and get nothing in return after a year or two?

I donāt know the details. It was scrolling on the bottom of the television
Brandt is sticking to his belief that Rodgers is going/gone.
Gotta have a trade partner that:
a) can give the Packers, A LOT
b) is a destination agreeable to Rodgers
He is extended, or he retires. And he's not retiring.
Would be a real nut punch to Clements if Rodgers was key in getting Tom out of retirement, only to then have AR leave GB.
Lastly, there is no rush to announce he is staying until they have to.

They get nothing in return if he retires.
I'm 95% confident he either signs with the Pack or is traded to another team.
Hope that makes the worry warts sleep a little better at night
Yes, I don't see him retiring .... he's said numerous times that as long as he can play at a high level he would continue to play.
He's not wrong...

I'm 87.5% sure you are right if that clears things up at all.
I gotta think the timing of all this is about Davante Adams. They already have the contract structure for Rodgers but he probably wants Adams as part of the deal. Either they are working on something with Adams or they are trying to convince Rodgers everything will be fine if they let Adams hit free agency.
@Tschmack posted:Again, if heās returning why not already communicate it? Seems to me thereās something else going on. Maybe Adams doesnāt want to return/extend. The problem there is in that scenario GB would almost certainly tag him and try to trade him, which may take more time to initiate.
Like BK, I've resigned myself to whatever happens, happens. We don't have control over it. I have my ideas on what should happen, but nobody at the Packers is asking for my advice. Nor should they. But hey, this is interesting stuff and it's the offseason, so...
Yeah, Tschmack, it is curious as to why no announcement has been made yet. If AR agreed to a deal, it would be all over the news. If AR and the team have decided to part ways via a trade, it doesn't really make sense to keep that secret. So I have to guess one of two things is happening. One, there's a deal on the table for AR to decide on, and/or two, AR is contemplating retirement and the team is allowing him space to decide how he wants to announce that.
If it was only going to be a one year deal, I would rather trade him.

True, but I don't think the news will break from an announcement by the Packers.

But...but...Gutekrunch said they aren't a package deal and that they're negotiating with Adams regardless.
@VitalVegas: We honestly have no idea who this is, but we're told Davante Adams has purchased a $12 million home in The Ridges, a fancy Las Vegas neighborhood.
Raiders WILL pay him $30 million. And he loves Derek Carr.
Only way Adams ends up in Vegas is if GB trades him there.
No state income tax...nothing to do with being a Raider.

Is no tax worth playing for another Belicheat tree failure?

Great golf course up there. Bears Best. Itās 18 of his best designed holes combined into one course. Took my old man there for Fatherās Day a couple years ago.
Anyone else see this??
According to one Las Vegas news source, specifically Vital Vegas, Adams has recently purchased a $12 million mansion located in The Ridges, which is a neighborhood located in Las Vegas.
Now this of course naturally leads to the wild speculation that Adams could potentially be set to land with the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason in free agency.
