FA WRs Available as of 03/31

From the link:
1. Odell Beckham Jr., Los Angeles Rams
2. Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans - Old and broken
3. Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo Bills - Pussy
4. Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns - Maybe the only one here worth a shot
5. A.J. Green, Arizona Cardinals - When's the last time he was productive?
6. Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills - Maybe, as a cheap pickup.  Vet minimum.
8. Will Fuller, Miami Dolphins - Trouble.  Absolutely not.
9. Sammy Watkins, Baltimore Ravens - The most famous average performer ever?
10. John Ross, New York Giants - Don't know much about him
11. Albert Wilson, Miami Dolphins - Don't know much about him
12. Keelan Cole, New York Jets - Don't know much about him

None of these guys are worth much more than their vet minimums.
They all have issues (age, injury, not prototypical Packer WR, head case, etc.); some have multiples. They all have missed games over the last couple of seasons, and most of them aren't starters.
At this point, I'm willing to see how the draft shakes out. I don't want to depend on 2-3 draft picks for WRs, and hope a trade may materialize for a vet.

I think the Packers are looking, trying to see who might fit.  It will become a lot more clear after the draft, so that's maybe when we'll see a deal emerge.  I doubt picking up a vet changes the strategy on drafting a WR.

BTW BK, I don’t want to hear from you about the shitty writing in this piece.

I got to “Some fans have even took to writing to the Packers front office.” and I had a massive strokeâ€ĶI’m typing this with one of those mouth held pen devices.

Reading this hypothetical trade from the Packers...it's very un-Packers like.

First they'd deal away draft capital...yes, they'd be getting a guy in the prime of his career who is Pro Bowl guy...but he's going to want that crazy WR money...yes it will down the road, but that may stress the cap more than Gute and Ballz would like given they really need to extend Jaire.

Someone is bound to give Cole Beasley “a shot”!

Didn't realize the MLF connection was there.

We can get DK Metcalf in the draft by selecting Christian Watson...

Metcalf is 2 inches shorter, at the combine was 20lbs heavier and 2 years younger than Watson. Not saying Watson isn't going to be a great player, but he's a different kind of player.

If the Seahawks would take #28 overall and a 3rd rounder for DK, I'd do it in a heartbeat...the guy is just getting into his prime. He's as much of a guaranteed player as you can get.

I can buy that. I doubt he'll come that cheap, though.

2 years younger? Yikes!

Maybe between him and Cobb we get a full season...

Yep.  And most importantly, can Watkins be healthy for the playoffs?  Cobb went into those playoffs last year very rusty from inactivity and was a non factor.  Let’s hope Watkins offers more once things actually start to matter.  He might be as injury prone as Cobb, but just about every FA WR that was left pretty much had the same “injury prone” rap on them.
