As others have said, Rodgers is the ultimate FO deoderant.

I'm a little puzzled I always thought if you hit on 1/3 of your draft picks you are doing well- 8 of 24 is 1/3 so what is the problem?

I'm intrigued by Baker Mayfield. After everyone passes on him, bring him in to watch and learn in AR12's last one or two seasons. He's got a lot of young TOG in him. And plenty of good years if properly coached.

My two cents, but there’s nothing intriguing about Mayfield.  He a more mouthy and vocal version of Carson Wentz.  Terrible leader and does not handle adversity well at all.  When things get tough he does not accept responsibility and as a QB you simply cannot have those traits.

Current Salary Cap standings for the all NFL teams. Packers went from being one of the worst to pretty respectable. This room gives them the ability to extend Jaire, sign a veteran WR and still get their class signed.

If the Rams still have $8+M in cap space after the Wagner deal...

If Mayfield was mature enough to manage his ego, I think he would be a great backup QB.
But as a starter, he's much closer to Manziel than Montana.

As bad as the Love pick may/may not have been, it pales in comparison to picks the Browns have made.

Packers aren't trading for WR with injury history unless it's someone like Will Fuller whom they feel is the prototype for WR1 in this offense.

My guess is unless it's Fuller, and it will happen late in the process, it's going to be someone people will bitch about like Funchess.

Laquon Treadwell, Mike Thomas and Brandon Powell are all guys that fit the type of guys that would appeal to Gute. Although Powella and Thomas are both 5'8"...but they'd be an upgrade to Cobb.

Extending Jaire could free up another 13M this season.  That’s enough to sign a veteran WR.

Yeah, but who?  Not much left excites me a whole lot.  Though at least a decent veteran is better than nothing.  Adams was the only premiere receiver available this off season.

FA WRs Available as of 03/31

From the link:
1. Odell Beckham Jr., Los Angeles Rams
2. Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans
3. Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo Bills
4. Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns
5. A.J. Green, Arizona Cardinals
6. Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills
8. Will Fuller, Miami Dolphins
9. Sammy Watkins, Baltimore Ravens
10. John Ross, New York Giants
11. Albert Wilson, Miami Dolphins
12. Keelan Cole, New York Jets

None of these guys are worth much more than their vet minimums.
They all have issues (age, injury, not prototypical Packer WR, head case, etc.); some have multiples. They all have missed games over the last couple of seasons, and most of them aren't starters.
At this point, I'm willing to see how the draft shakes out. I don't want to depend on 2-3 draft picks for WRs, and hope a trade may materialize for a vet.

OBJ is a non-starter...dude won't be ready until at least the last month of the season...you are asking for disappointment if you are waiting for him.

If they are convinced Julio's injuries were a one-off last season, he is a guy that could being a lot of juice to the offense for not much money and wouldn't cost you draft picks.

I recall reading somewhere Fuller isn't a fan of cold weather.

Juli will probably land in Indi

50 year old Emmanuel Sanders might work.  He was scared of the GB cold a couple years ago when he picked the saints over GB

then he played in Buffalo last year so maybe he snapped out of it

Only guy that would maybe work for me is cooks from houston - I am not sold in metcalf and not bc of the football side - he’s a little immature for my lead wr and then you have to pay him next year…

Hot wing sauce!

Instead of trading draft picks to move up to take a 6'4" future #-1 wide receiver, why not trade like a 5th-round pick for a guy like former 6'4" former 1st rounder N'Keal Harry. He has a whole bunch of NFL upside. Why would the Patriots want to keep 2 former first-round busts? Talent? N'Keal Harry? Not much, but he's tall. He can't separate, but that's overrated. Not really very good at contested balls, but he has upside! I think he could fill that Don Beebe roll. Well, except he ain't any good. But the upside! Tall WRs always have NFL upside. Every single one of them. You can bank on it. Even if they're from North Dakota. Where is that?

I like Landry out of everyone on that list.  I just think he's the only guy that could rebound from a poor 2021 just by changing teams. But I heard he's asking for a lot.  I'd give him a 1 year prove it deal and let him rehab his reputation as Rodgers' #1 option in 2022.

OBJ is hurt.  Julio has been hurt much of the last 2 years and doubtful a guy like him turns that around at this point in his career.  I'm not a fan of Sanders.  He had an ugly exit from Denver along with a few diva stories in his time here.  He's also 35 and was nothing more than a 4th option his last 3 years.  Green is on the downside of his career and unlikely to turn it around.
