Too bad, they would have a shot at them.....actually if they beat Pitt they could do it.
Playing this one with house money.
Tip time is reportedly 5:50 CDT Friday and the game will be broadcast on TNT.
Badgers wound up being the 25th seed. Complete list below.
Good, it is on a station I get
Not much of a difference between any of these teams really...
I will admit to not watching a ton of CBB but a real argument can be made that there are no dominant teams this year and you really could almost pick the field to win.
That being said I think UW will do one of 2 things. They will either lose in the first round or go on an unexpected sweet 16 run. I personally think they will be one and done this year.
Sure was a lot of fun LAST year......will watch and keep my fingers crossed.
Just going back to the beginning of the season, that they're even in after a 9-9 start is a miracle. Good experience for a very young roster.
Last week they get papped around, didn't finish strong. Good experience there too.
Now Gard has lots of teachable moments, and so Gard has all that he needs to prep them for a strong tournament run. They can beat anyone this weekend. If they advance then cool! If not, more teachable moments...

I am a Badger fan, but no way they get past Xavier. I sure hope I'm wrong. Keeping fingers crossed.
If they limit the turnovers and make their free throws, they can beat a lot of teams.
If Koenig gets hot, they can beat anyone.
In their losses, he's 44-146 from the field (30.1%)
In their wins, he's 97-204 (47.5%).

I am a Badger fan who lives about 30 minutes from the Xavier campus and nothing would be sweeter than if they beat them. Will they? ehh don't think so either but I can hope.
thanks for the stats, MP2! wow, that does say a lot about BK importance to the team.
Lowest first half points in the tourney this year......and still in it.
They need to change something up....wow.
Another terrible first half performance for the Badgers. GB Phoenix have 4 more points in the first 8 minutes of their game than the Badgers did all half.
Hard to believe it's close after that abysmal first half from Bucky.
Carbon copy of the game I watched yesterday at the Kohl Center.
Could it be that the team relaxed after it was clear that Gard was going to get the full time job? They've now played 2.5 games since they posted the job and have not looked good. Particularly Koenig and Hayes. He's 6-27 in the last 2.5 games and 3-15 from the 3 point line. Hayes is 11-38.
17 for 65 from your two best players is not going to get it done against anyone.
If Alvarez would have waited until the end of the season, would Gard still be the guy?
It's f-ing embarrassing... and it comes down to you "best" players just not showing up. Hayes and Koenig are just just a complete waste of time right now.
Yale wins because their best players show up. Wichita wins with their best player. MTSU wins with their best players leads them to victory.
Show up, boys... That's you Nigel, and you Bronson...
Hayes has looked very sluggish recently. In the long run, it may be good since there's no way he's an NBA prospect after this.
4 Pitt fouls in 98 seconds.
Yup
Hayes = awful tonight.
Amazing to be down 3 with Hayes and Koenig 1-11.
Defense looks fantastic though...
Within 1 and Hayes and Koenig 1-13.

He never was. He's Mike Wilkinson. Fine college basketball player, not an NBA player.
Happ learned from that Nebraska game... Go get it kid! This is where you show it...

Good point. Imagine how good Wilkinson would have been playing alongside Kaminsky, Dekker, Gasser, T. Jackson, Dukan, and Brust over a 2 year period. Along with Koenig, every player he played with was a 3 point threat.
Young is owning Nigel tonight...
Pitt on pace for 28 fouls this half.
Bonus the rest of the way... Need to hit them thoUgh
Pitt starting to warm up. Unless the fouls do them in, Pitt is on the verge of running away with this one. Hayes and Koenig 2-15 and Koenig scoreless.
Not in love with this team. I'm OK with a Badger loss. Still really like Gard. I think the future is bright. This team? Not this year.
I'm watching "Say yes to the Dress" on TLC. Badger basketball stinks right now.....ugh.
Also, it looks like Big 10 was vastly overrated. I'm a Gard fan, but I hope the Big 10 run wasn't an illusion. The wins that got them into the tournament were against MSU (lost to #15 seed), Iowa (needed a push off follow up shot to win in OT today), Maryland (squeaked by today).
