Gard maxed out this team in a weak year for the Big 10. Underlying problem is outside shooting. Every one back next year so will have to improve from within.
This looks like the second coming of a Dick Bennett team. Zach Showalter does remind me of a better shooting version of Mike Kelley.
They have shooting on this team- they're all redshirted. Pritzl is supposed to be Bohannon but a better player overall.

Dude... Kelley was about 15x the defender... Showy's a fine player and I think he'll be a great senior, but Kelley was special...

I'll give you the defense, but Kelley was a starter who averaged 4 points a game. It was like playing 4 on 5 on every offensive possession.

Get up by 4 and then just choke. Happ on the missed FT and missed rebound, Hayes with a WTF was that shot, and then leave virtually their only shooter wide open for a 3.

That rebound by Nigel was perhaps the best play of the game.

It just seems we've been playing "tight" as of late. The Nebraska loss in the B1G was surprising. Today, Bucky continued being timid, but still pulled it out. Maybe this win will give them tournament-confidence and Sunday will be a surprise Sweet Sixteen entry. Heck, why not? If Bozo Izzo can lose to MTSU, then we can upset Xavier, too.

Thanks for updating. Last night the bracket update on SI said noon. I guess they think it will be a better draw for TV later in the day.
Dang it.....would have gone out for bloody Mary's @ the noon game now going to be at home watching by myself having water.
