How about another TT/sports reporter analogy?

When I would visit with my daughter's family when the grandkids were young, they would act out or otherwise have to be disciplined by a parent. Nothing bad, maybe just a scolding, but still... as their grandpa I wanted to intervene, of course, but the wiser choice was to just sit there and take it.

The wise choice for any reporter concerning TT's condition would be to stay away from that. No matter how obvious a problem appears to be. Sit on that, and trust that everybody is doing the right thing by him.
That's something his peers and family needs to handle, and nobody has a 'right' to know about another's health.
It also seems unethical to me asking one person to share another person's private information, much less publish it. I know nothing about journalism, especially in today's world, but I know what's right and what's not.

Strictly JMO, others may vary.

We're all changing as we age.

I’ve been married 4x’s - and all to the same woman.  Pre-kids and pre-career.  Children thru their college years.  Empty nest and dual careers.  Retirement years.  Roles change.  What we value changes.  How we spend our time and money changes.  Hopefully on this journey of change we keep a core that values others and sees a bigger world than ourselves and we are conscious of the legacy we leave behind.

The four-time league MVP said understood the rationale behind the decision to select Gang Green to follow for the popular documentary series.

“Look, I understand the appeal with us. There’s a lot of eyes on me, a lot of eyes on our team, a lot of expectations for our squad,” said Rodgers.

However, Rodgers then let us know how he truly feels.

“They forced it down our throats and we have to deal with it.”

Ah yes, I remember this quote well. Another gem hidden in Star Trek, which featured some great writing by premiere sci fi authors like Harlan Ellison. And Spock was not only a superb science officer and #2 on the Enterprise, but also a highly respected baby doctor!

Are we taking any bets on Rodgers skipping TC?  Might be how he "deal's with it".  At his age he can afford the fine and only needs to play game #1 to be ready for the season.

It might be better for us if he skips training camp. Rest that shoulder until week 1 and get us 65%. I think whoever we draft in round 1 from the Rodgers trade should be given #65.

He’s such an asshole.

@ZachBlatt: found it interesting that Aaron Rodgers admitted he was a little impatient with young Packers receivers in the past and that he’s not doing that with the #Jets:

“You try to rectify some of the things you did a certain way that you could’ve done better.”

He's genuinely giving 100% right now , but if the Jets are smart they'll figure out the honeymoon is over and this is as good as it gets going forward. 8 has a vision of how he wants this to go. So long as that vision is still possible he's amenable. Right now he's happy about all the ways the Jets aren't the Packers, but that's going to fade and he's going to start obsessing over the things that are bothering him about the way the Jets do things.  It's inevitable.

I hope everyone in that organization was paying attention when he mentioned repeated mistakes today. That sh!t drives him nuts and he's going to take it out on someone sooner than later. Rodgers is going to form his clique and the guys that are out are going to have to deal with it. Someone is getting the horns in the next couple weeks and it's going to be interesting watching the reverberations.

Also looking forward to him glowing up the obscure guy on the roster that he likes and seeing if Joe Douglas figures out what he's being told when cuts come around.

I have friends in Vegas that have a pool going......

How long before his "calf hurts" or his thumb or shoulder, etc?

They're all betting he doesn't make it thru the season and Pack won't get 65% which means they'll get 2nd round pick only.

I disagree.....I think he's going to give it 100% this year and Pack will get 1st rounder. Now, next year, 2024.....that's where the Rodgers we saw last year shows up.

Careful what you wish for.....you just might get it.

Whitewater Jesus is not with them.

PFT

Aaron Rodgers continues to be very happy with the Jets. If only to give the finger to his former team.

He will presumably be happier once he knows how much he’ll be paid this year.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Jets and Rodgers still have not worked out a revised contract, following the reconfigured deal the Jets inherited when the trade from Green Bay was finalized. Rodgers, despite his disdain for the Green Bay front office, agreed to move his $58.3 million option bonus to 2024, minimizing the cap consequences of trading Rodgers to the Jets.

The end result is a salary (and cap number) of only $1.165 million in 2023, and a massive compensation package of $107.55 million for 2024.

In May, Jets G.M. Joe Douglas told #PFTPM that the team and the player were “still working on restructuring aspects of the deal as we speak.”

Rodgers is due to make $108.715 million over the next two years. The major questions are: (1) how much will be split between this year and next year; (2) how much of that money will be pushed into the 2025 cap years and beyond; and (3) will Rodgers take less than he’s due to make?

The final deal, which presumably will come before Week One, will shed plenty of light on whether Rodgers will stay with the team for one year, two years, or maybe three years. Until it happens, the Jets will do all they can to ensure that the honeymoon lasts as long as possible — especially if it’s possible that Rodgers will do the team a very unexpected favor and reduce the dollars he’s due to make.

Aaron was on the ESPN NY morning show today. Have to give him credit, they set him up to take a cheap shot at Gutey and he took the high road and ignored it.

Good for him. The proof is in the pudding. It will all play out on the field.
