True, but you're not going to win many playoff games scoring 10 points. If your defense holds them to 6 the offense should be able to put them away where a blocked punt doesn't beat you. Plus there was still time to win the game after the block.

You could turn that around to say the 49ers D held the Pack to 10 points and that their offense should have been able to score more than 6.

Rodgers and the rest of the offense could have done better, but everybody knew for months that Drayton's unit was a disaster waiting to happen, and it finally happened in that playoff game.

For years opposing fans felt Rodgers was arrogant and selfish and Packer fans were in denial. I think his last few years in GB swayed plenty of Packer fans to feel the same way. We always wanted to put him in the conversation with Brady but it's become quite obvious there's no comparison on and off the  field. Brady gave up salary to win championships. Rodgers sucked up as much cap and leverage as he could and talked about winning MVPs. In some ways he's even become an embarrassment. I don't think anybody is diminishing what he's done on the field but I think plenty of Packers fans now have their eyes open to what he is.

Brady had Gronk, Moss, a HOF coach, and a top ten defense every year he played in NE and Gronk and a top 3 defense when he played at Tampa. The year the Packers defense was top 5, it won a championship. Other than that, the offense was always let AR run around and make a play. I will agree the past two years he regressed but what the front office and coaches did prior to those two years was total incompetence. Screw Brady- AR would have won 10 Super bowls if he played at New England.

Claiming the same "moral highground" as Vikings fans and Greg Jennings' sister is a weird flex for anyone claiming to be a Packers fan.

Though to be fair, show me a NFL QB who isn't arrogant and that'll also show you a failure.

All I read was excuses for poor little Aaron. Maybe if he had been a better teammate his guys would have developed along the same lines. Moss for a season and a half? C’mon! That’s LAME!

Mr. Gambini's statement with the exception of "Thank you" will be stricken from the record.

while Brady gave up some $$$, let’s look at the whole narrative.  Most football $$$ earned in NFL to date not including outside $$$.  1. Payton Manning $248 million. 2. Eli Manning $235 million. 3. Drew Brees $221 million. 4. Tom Brady $218 million. 5. Aaron Rodgers $205 million.

But you have Rodgers sitting on a $107 million salary next season and Brady played about 5 more seasons.

Or you could say one team had the MVP at QB and the other had Garoppolo, technically the backup with much lower expectations. I don't care what special teams did, had the offense done their job nobody would even talk about that blocked punt.

You can shine it up all you want but those are the facts. Living in Vegas I got a lot of opinions from a lot of fans from different teams. It was pretty hard defending Rodgers and in the end I couldn't. He became a joke on and off the field.

As I said the last two years he regressed. Whether that was injuries, rookies, no bachtiari or whatever I saw that. Before that tho the front office failed him with their incompetence. That was criminal

What's really funny is I started reading the article and believed it until I got down to the O-Line portion....then said to myself...."{is this the onion?}

Brady doesn’t owe anyone an explanation. The dude has done it any which way. Truly the greatest player in the history of this sport. That anyone dares to question that is pure silliness. We just got rid of a guy who was more interested in MVP’s than championships. Brady never lost sight of what truly matters. CHIPS!!!

Tom Brady disagrees with you:

In a recent piece from ESPN writer Ian O’Connor, Brady was quoted as having explained how he thinks Rodgers would do in New England’s system.

“He’d throw for 7,000 yards every year,” Brady reportedly said. “He’s so much more talented than me.

And some say because of stats Wilt was more talented than Russ.

As the kids say…..Scoreboard

So if Wilt had played for the Celtics and Russell would have played for the teams Wilt did, would Wilt have won just as many titles? I would say yes. Would Russell have won as many titles as Wilt (3) if they had switched, I'd say no.

We all know Wilt was a notoriously poor FT shooter (51%), but Russell was almost as bad (56%). The difference was that Wilt shot 54% from the floor while Russell shot 44%. And Wilt was expected to take the bulk of the shots for this team, while Russell's were proportionally more put-backs off of offensive rebounds. In other words, if anything, Russell took easier shots than Wilt. Neither could really shoot outside of 5 feet.

As you say "Scoreboard" for Russell, but his ranking among the all-time greats is the hardest to gauge. He played with so many other guys that were Hall of Famers, and many times wasn't even the 4th offensive option on the team (Havlicek, Cousy, Sam Jones, Heinsohn, Frank Ramsey, Sharman). He was a great defensive player, but Wilt wasn't a slouch either. Was Russell more like Alonzo Mourning (a HOFer, but not the upper echelon) or was he Tim Duncan?

I think Wilt is most like Giannis or Shaq.

As bad a Shaq was at FTs, Chamberlain was worse. He shot a jump shot, from as far to the right on the FT line as he could, and underhanded.

So, Rodgers is doing the types of things he wasn't doing the last few years in Green Bay.

Everyone is accountable for meetings, except for his meetings with MLF to discuss the offense the last couple of years?

He's ALL IN, but just not the last few years in Green Bay when it was more important to vacation with his girlfriend and Miles Teller than attend OTAs in the spring (with a bunch of new receivers)?

@Floridarob posted:

would tom Brady have won 7 titles in Green Bay with MM and TT leading the organization. Puleeze. that anybody would think that is just silliness.

And if you put Payton Manning, Drew Brees, or Aaron Rodgers in New England in place of Brady over the same time period they probably win the same number of titles as Brady. You'd still have to be an all-time great QB and the type that minimized mistakes, but these guys were all on the same level as Brady.

Favre would have made mistakes that would have cost them at some point.

Need him at least healthy enough for 65% of the offensive snaps.

I didn't care about the Jets last year and I won't care about them next year, but man it really is nice seeing an entire organization treat Rodgers the right way and be on board with going all in knowing what they have at QB now.

It's the difference between "We do what we do" and "It. Is. Time."

We do what we do gets nowhere and gives veteran players the inkling to check out and move on.

It. Is. Time. wins Super Bowls.

The A-Aron ball washing by some on here is worse than when TOG was traded. I don't care if he goes 17-0 or 0-17.   As long as he plays 65% so we get a better draft choice is all I want.

Do you really think he is injured now?  He is doing the same in New York as he did his last few years in Green Bay. The only difference he's actually there so it looks like he cares.  He doesn't, it's only about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

What a crock. Before he always said he didn't need OTAs. This is one of two things or a combination: he's saying the GB FO and/or staff sucks or he's trying to ingratiate himself with his new teammates. He hasn't been at OTAs because it was his own choice and ego that kept him away. Where was he last year with all the new WRs?

Exactly how are the Jets going all in?

Signing Lazard and Cobb?

Aaron Rodgers....the new X factor for the Jets

Jets probably haven't had this for 50 years. In Green Bay, it's expected.

That's the difference between a winning culture and a complacent one teams like the Jets have had for years.

I’ve never seen this Aaron Rodgers before, and I’ve seen him since the moment we came in the NFL together,” Orlovsky said. “One, the refreshed, the energized, the excited and happy while also having the chip on the shoulder … He got run out of town in Green Bay, but now he’s got that chip on his shoulder.” - Dan Orlovski
