Bruce Wayne couldn't talk to his parents. Aaron Rodgers doesn't talk to his parents. Makes sense.
He casually referred to Kelce as Mr.Phizer on the show this week.
The man is a living legend. Love it.
I took Mr Phizers advice, got both.

Dramatic photos of Achilles rehab.
The sensationalized headline as this came across my timeline 😁
They're not comedic photos, are they? I was hoping there would be pictures actually from the surgery or something. (It looks like the headline may have been edited, as it no longer has the word "dramatic".)
And Rex Ryan would like those feet in the fourth picture.
He does look old. Like "one of these things is not like the other " old. Compared to most players we see.
No easy task picking up dobbers, gooms, and mashers with your toes.
Flashback to Ocho Cinco...
The New York Jets may have cost themselves millions of dollars by opting not to get disability insurance of Aaron Rodgers' contract before the start of the season.
Per Daniel Libit and Eben Novy-Williams of Sportico, the Jets chose not to take out an insurance policy on Rodgers' deal in the event of injury despite being offered "multiple" policies.
Libit and Novy-Williams added this decision is "consistent" with the Jets' recent approach to contract insurance, but it's one that could "potentially cost the team $20 million-plus in insurance proceeds" after Rodgers' tore his Achilles in the first quarter of their season opener against the Buffalo Bills......
Either the extent of the tear is exaggerated or he’s a freak. I do agree what I saw walking the sideline does not look like a guy that just popped his Achilles.

It was a non-typical Achilles repair that adds stability to the tendon and allows for a more aggressive rehab approach. If they keep playing like they are defensively maybe that crazy idea of Rodgers returning in January won't be quite as crazy a few months from now.
if he comes back this year I'll expect he'll be rehabbing the re-injury in the offseason. go for it
If, IF the Jets make the playoffs this year why change the driver? Especially to one who is rusty and has such a checkered playoff past.

Because AR is infinitely better than Zach Wilson.

I'll never undersell 12's toughness and gameness, this situation is a measure of the Jets organization to make a rational decision for the future best interests of their player and their immediate future...so I fully expect Woody to make sure the Titanic gets sent full speed ahead.
It's admirable Rodgers wants to operate stubbornly without limits, but there needs to be some adults that protect the athlete from his competitive drive. Sometimes the corner or the team's doctors need to throw the towel in to protect the fighter's pride. This whole escapade will tell us more about the Jets doctors than 08's desire to rise above his adversities.

If he does come back in January (highly doubtful), this type of thing is very likely to happen.
Rice was wearing a brace on his knee but, like most skill players in the NFL, he was not wearing kneepads.
Everybody wears bicycle shorts now. They were doing this a while back and the league made knee pads mandatory again. Now they either removed that rule or players made them very thin and just push the bottom of the pants up above the knee.
It's an indicator of how less violent the sport has become vs. the days when players were covered almost head to toe with a variety of different padding.
Shoulder pads are less than half the size they used to be.
🤭
Tough setback for Aaron Rodgers. The Jets won without him.

Heartbreaking to see a narcissist dealing with so much adversity.
Today's players wear so little padding compared to what some players used in the past.
"Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson was estimated to wear almost nine pounds of equipment every time he went on the field. That included over-sized elbow guards, a lineman's face mask and thick eye goggles. He said that if someone made a piece of safety equipment, it was made for a reason, and he would wear it."
Look how big his thigh and knee pads are compared to those of today. And of course, those monster shoulder pads that today no player would even consider wearing!

Rodgers is one of the best to ever throw a football.
At least he's got that going for him.
Visited my accountant/tax guy the other day. After our "business meeting", we were shootin' the shit. He's taken up painting as a hobby. Showed me some of his work. It was pretty bad.
May need to find a new accountant.
Probably wise if he's painting houses.

As long as he can paint a good financial picture that is all you need. If the reports he gives you start are multi-colored, at least you will know why.

I know Tony Fauci personally. His work has saved or provided many more years of quality life to thousands of people. This dates back to his work with HIV and his patience and ability to listen to and eventually work with people who were among his harshest critics (Larry Kramer during the AIDS epidemic is one example). He was initially appointed to head NIAID by Reagan with whom he developed a very good working relationship. He developed a program with President George W. Bush that has saved thousands of lives in Africa through better control of HIV. This is a program that whatever your politics are that George W. Bush deserves enormous credit for implementing with Tony's help.
I loved watching Aaron Rodgers play QB for the Packers. Given how he has acted the last few years, I am glad I never have to cheer for him again. I can guarantee you that Tony doesn't care about what Aaron Rodgers thinks of him. Tony was vilified by the far-left in the late 80s for not doing enough for HIV patients. He didn't let it affect his work and many of those same patients and activists came to regard Tony as their biggest champion.
Aaron Rodgers may be remembered by a small subset of people for how well threw a football, but in 50 years he'll be a speck in the NFL history books which only a small percent of the world's population will care about. There are thousand of people alive today that wouldn't be here without Tony (and that's just from his efforts to combat HIV, without getting into his other contributions).
Current look at the Aaron Rodgers trade:
— Andy Herman (@AndyHermanNFL) October 18, 2023

Will McDonald
Jarrick Bernard-Converse (PUP)*
Zach Kuntz (P/S)*
*Acquired picks 204 and 220 for pick 170 that GB traded to NY
Packers Get:
Lukas Van Ness
Luke Musgrave
Anders Carlson
Currently pick 49 in 2024

Fauci is a self-serving fraud and has been since at least his awful AIDS response. And had nothing to do with any COVID vaccine some of you worship.
Gain of function Fauci.

You can't be serious here. A team doesn't give up what they gave up for Rodgers to have him sit and watch the playoffs when he's able to play. The "driver" here is Zach Wilson. Are they winning because of him or despite him? Their offense would be so much better with a one legged Rodgers playing with one eye closed.
