I think political opinions are ok here now as long as you preface it by saying you don't care what others think and you're just trying to pick on somebody. I could be wrong though, it might need to be a disclaimer at the end. I'd do both just to be covered.

The first amendment allows it. And no, I don’t care what any of you think of the first amendment. I’m just trying to pick on Shadow. Keep your political opinions to yourselves.😊

You got to do it every time though.

"Thanks to $7.6M of bonus proration from his 2018 contract, and another $32.6M from his 2022 roster bonus (treated as a signing bonus), Green Bay is left with a sizable $40,313,568 cap hit for the 2023 season," Spotrac wrote on the website.

"Since the trade will be processed before June 1st, that entire amount will be taken on this season, with no further dead cap to be dealt with for the Packers. The $40.3M figure is actually $8.7M more than the original cap hit Aaron Rodgers held for the 2023 season. This move drops Green Bay’s Top 51 cap space down to an estimated $12.6M (still plenty to account for their now-inflated draft class)."

Thank you, Russ Ball. I'm glad he wasn't promoted to GM. Some folks are where they are for a good reason, and Ball is one of them.

Thought this interesting…..

The buzz around Aaron Rodgers’ potential jersey number started the moment he expressed his desire to join the Jets. Given that Rodgers had donned the number 12 jersey throughout his 18-season tenure with Green Bay, the question arose: Would he seek to carry on with the same number in New York, despite it being retired in honor of Joe Namath? Or, would he have to choose a different path?

But why did he play with number 12 with the Packers in the first place? Turns out there is an interesting story behind this. And he spilled the beans on a recent podcast with Cameron Hanes.

Decoding Aaron Rodgers’ #8 jersey in Green Bay

The 4x NFL MVP played for the California Golden Bears in college. There his jersey number was actually 8. But then he made the leap to the NFL, with the Packers as his first team. Unfortunately for him, the kicker there had the #8 jersey. However, he was willing to part with the jersey. For a price, of course.

The number stretched to a whopping five-digit, which Rodgers understandably couldn’t pay since he wasn’t the $200 million wealthy star player that he is now. Who was the kicker? Ryan Longwell. β€œI was like, β€˜No, I’m just going to go back to 12.’,” he told the kicker. ’12’ was his jersey number in high school.

You know what's funny?

All these guys are talking about every other team and they aren't mentioning the Packers hardly at all.

Falcons, Texans, Ravens and Steelers, Bengals, Vikings, Panthers....they even mentioned the Cowboys and Seahawks who have done NOTHING!!

BUT WAIT!!! ZOMg!!!! Xavier McKinney is coming on after the top of the hour?!?!

They took like 90 minutes to get to him.

πŸ–•πŸΌπŸ€¬πŸ–•πŸΌ The biggest FA signing yesterday.

Maybe saquon Barkley but at a bare minimum, the second biggest signing yesterday.
