Unfortunately for him, the kicker there had the #8 jersey. However, he was willing to part with the jersey. For a price, of course.
The number stretched to a whopping five-digit, which Rodgers understandably couldn’t pay since he wasn’t the $200 million wealthy star player that he is now. Who was the kicker? Ryan Longwell. “I was like, ‘No, I’m just going to go back to 12.’,” he told the kicker. ’12’ was his jersey number in high school.
