The Packers should try to be as boring as possible and fine anyone who gets interesting.

Having a few lines everyone would be require to memorize and use with the hard knocks guys who be the way to fight back.  For instance:

Use the line "Does this really help us win games?"  And before he can respond say "I didn't think so".  And walk away.  Can be used with virtually any question.

If they ask a player about their injury - and it doesn't matter how they frame it, the player should just respond with a question like "Have you ever been injured like this before?"  And before they can respond say "I didn't think so".  And walk away.

The key is to never answer a question directly and never give them a chance to respond.  If they come back for day 2 and they can ask a question the players (note plural), should just offer a demonstration on their cameras and recording equipment about how to sack a QB if they don't shut up, leave us alone, and turn off the camera.  Heaven help them if they show up for day 3.

I watched the play multiple times. Wilson is wide ass open. He just decided not to throw to him for whatever reason.

At snap. Brown went for a cut that wasn't there. Floyd is in throwing lane and the linebacker has to clear.

With the initial window closed, Rodgers looks back right. Lazard and Ozumah are secondary reads, possibly breaking open, otherwise they're clearing the secondary window. With the two-deep safeties and no verticals, the safeties come down hill, the right in to the left hash mark to Wilson, the left to Ozumah, the deepest route as it's on his side.

The corner is trailing, the safety is coming down to the throwing lane during the secondary reads. This is setting up for the secondary window.

By the time Rodgers gets back to the left, Floyd is on him and Wilson is running into coverage/his screeners.

Here we can see a glimpse of the left corner in coverage in the upper-right corner. Wilson's trajectory is to split Lazard and Ozumah (who is running to the safety), breaking open behind them in the wide open space at/outside the right hash mark.

Unfortunately Rodgers is already trying to spin away from Floyd.

Late 1st or early to mid 2nd virtually same value.

Even if Jets go to playoffs or win it all with Zach, it's still a mid to late 2nd rounder

I'd still prefer the 1st round pick but man the Packers have been so good in the 2nd round. Not gonna bitch about it too much. But maybe a little more.

I turned the game on 10-15 minutes late and basically missed Rodgers season and likely his career as a Jet. All those Prime Time games really lost their luster now.

did the Packers ever win a game where Rodgers was hurt and did not return? Did the defense ever win a game for the Packers when he was out for a few weeks? not that i remember. Kudos to the Jets for doing what they did last night mostly thanks to their defense and special teams..If that would have happened when AR was at Green Bay, the team would have been rolled. .

From what I remember, the Packer offense looked like they never played a football game in their life.

i remember sam shields and tramon williams making big plays to beat dallas in 2013 when rodgers was out. that’s about it

was that the game, the Cowboys were up 28 to 3 at half time and Matt Flynn and Eddie Lacy played the half of their life to win the game. That was the most excited I had been for a Packers game in 30 years for a game that did not include Favre or Rodgers.

There was that time Scott Tolzien came in for Rodgers and won the Super Bowl singlehandedly.  I remember it clearly because it was the same year that I had that serious head injury.

Wait, what were we talking about?

I thought that was Brett Hundley

The sad part is my very first game at Lambeau, Seneca Wallace started against the Eagles and lasted one series before getting hurt and giving way to Scott Tolzien. My second game we were privileged to watch Brett Hundley shit the bed against the Saints.  Both games immediately followed games in which Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone. Needless to say in both instances tickets,  flights and hotels had been purchased well in advance.  Took a third time before we finally saw Rodgers play (not well) against Buffalo, after which he was critical of the offense, which was the beginning of the end for McCarthy.

McAfee isn't exactly careful or accurate with his segments, but what's interesting is when reports like the Athletic's come out, people start swirling rumors and things take on a life of their own. Everyone is looking around to figure out *Why in the hell are we cut blocking if 8 doesn't want it in! * Let hyperbole fill in the answer to gin up some clicks and then sherk any responsibility by falling back on  'We were just wondering aloud, man it's crazy how everything gets out of control, huh? ... ' when everyone grabs the torches and starts going after the Oline coach.

Then you also have the angle of 8 talking about the nickname he gave the Oline coach  and how he likes to needle him. So this could all just be a joke by the magnificent one getting blown out of proportion again. Welcome to the beautiful mystery Jets nation.

You have the kind of luck I do, Roch'.
I empathize and sympathize.

If anyone wants to continue following the Jets post any relevant Jets content in this thread. 🤷‍♂️

I'd rather have my finger nails ripped off one at a time than follow the Jets.   What could possibly be relevant about the Jets now?  Our draft pick has been determined.

The play he got hurt on with Wilson running wide open.

According to the posts I've read and the commentary I've listened to, the play the Jets ran was suposed to have Rodgers throw the ball, quickly. If he hits Wilson, here, he may not have gotten injured. Hanging onto the ball too long, again!
