That would be like Bongs perfect Saturday night in high school. Mom’s meatloaf, a quick game of Risk with Grandpa, and finishing it off rubbing one out to Mary Tyler Moore.

Can we finish off a nearly perfect week of football (fuck off, Lions) and see the Bills beat the shit out of the Jets? With no harm to #8..

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Jets will play just a smidge better than the Giants did last night.

Or Julie from Love Boat.

This sucks on many levels.

I was rooting for Rodgers.

Sucks for the Pack as the 1 becomes a 2.

Sucks for the Jets as they traded a 1 and a 2 for 4 snaps.

I wonder if he retires now.   Coming back from year long injury at his age is not easy.   He has to be tempted to say fuck it, I’ll play cart golf in CA for a while.

If you look across a lot of sports these athletes get into their mid to late 30s and the lower body injuries take a toll.   Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant come to mind.

It was difficult to watch Rodgers go down and not get back up on what looked like a pretty routine hit on the QB.   But it’s the way things go in football.   Sterling Sharpe, Nick Collins, Robert Brooks, Craig Newsome, and Tim Lewis come to mind as Packers that had their careers cut way short due to injuries.  At least in the case of Rodgers he’s had more than a complete career given his age.

It appears the Jets gambled on Rodgers and have lost, but not all is lost as they have a pretty good overall team.  If I were Joe Douglas, I might be inclined to try to make a deal for a QB but the concern is will any of them be better than Zach Wilson?

The draft pick compensation is sort of a bummer, but it’s not like a 2nd rounder isn’t valuable or couldn’t be important to the Packers.

#8 will coach Zach Wilson and get Jets into Playoffs. They need to lean on the running game and Brece Hall and of course their defense.

But he'll have to coach him to do the opposite of how Rodgers played for the last half of his career. Wilson can be Goff-like if he wants. Take the easy completions. Don't make stupid mistakes. Don't take any unnecessary risks when you have a defense that good.

The perfect QB for the Jets to win as many regular season games as possible for a bargain price would have been Jimmy G or Jared Goff. The problem with guys like that is they don't have a high enough ceiling to win you Super Bowls.

None of the available QBs will have as high a ceiling that Zach Wilson has (he's 23 years old and was the 2nd overall pick less than 2.5 years ago), but many of those guys will have a much higher floor.

Late 1st or early to mid 2nd virtually same value.

Even if Jets go to playoffs or win it all with Zach, it's still a mid to late 2nd rounder

First sentence is right on.

Second sentence, if they win it all, the 2 is the last pick in the 2nd round.

I don't see NYJ winning it all with Zach.

If we're being honest, the chances a 39-40 QB makes it to 65% behind that OL we're probably 60/40.

Right! I think Zach Wilson has that ceiling but he needs to reign it in and play conservative game manager type QB until the playoffs. Pick and choose your spots for riskier throws.

I thought he'd be more quick release guy in NY with a crappy O-Line, especially vs Bills DL. You can see from the screenshot, had a guy wide open underneath for a modest gain and live to fight the next play.

But nooo.....I need the "hero shot"

Packers 2nd rounders have traditionally been very good selections.
