Lotta ballgame left, Boss 😉

I did notice when they showed Rodgers pulling up in "his" car (A dark green Aston Martin) to Jets facility like he's James effing Bond 😆
Definitely made me smile and laugh.
I was kind of hoping he'd hook up with Zach Wilson's mom 🤭
If he gets stuck in a traffic jam on the Jersey Turnpike that Aston Martin will end up on blocks with him in it!

I don’t claim to be the brightest crayon in the box, but I don’t get it.
Shit went south between him and Gute. BOTH are to blame, focusing only on Rodgers because he’s no longer a Packer is being a homer.
Well first of all, this is an AR thread not a Gute thread, and second of all, I never mentioned Gute in my post so I have no idea WTF you're going on about. But you did say you aren't the brightest crayon in the box, so...

Zach Wilson's dad would be more interesting.

I thought the same thing weather wise. So does the Jets stadium have a roof? That might help. Other wise the outside weather could be about the same as Wisconsin's.
Is AR still going with the Milwaukee Bucks owners daughter? At least that is who I thought she might be. We now know that the others didn't work out because they could not get on the same telepathic wave length as Rodger. Imagine that?
@titmfatied posted:What if some of the truth was Rodgers just grew unbelievably tired of living in Wisconsin? Sure, we could stand to hear it. At least it would be the truth rather than Rodgers' snickering lies.
What if some of the truth was he couldn't wait to get out of Wisconsin every winter and get back to a lifestyle that makes him happier? Would we want to hear it? Why not want to hear it? Guys like Favre liked it in WI so he could hunt and so on. Living in GB is not for everyone. Again, at least it would be the truth.
What if some of the truth was both Rodgers and Gute know (and they do know) the free agents in the league they covet want nothing to do with living in Wisconsin and it makes it harder to win here and informs everyone's strategies and decisions. Would we truthfully want to hear it? Didn't we hear this one before? When FA first started, it was "who wants to go to GB? Yuck." But a few winning seasons made GB a free agent destination. I think we could handle it that truth.
Seriously, if Rodgers had come out and said, "I want a trade because I don't want to play here anymore," fans would be upset but then it's "don't let the door hit you on the way out," followed quickly by "We'd rather have players who want to be here." All you're doing by staying is making yourself miserable, which affects the rest of the team when you're supposed to be a leader.
I'd rather hear the truth than a set of lies designed to make everyone feel good or to try to keep a reputation intact. Whether it's weather or personality clashes or lifestyle or thinking the FO didn't treat you right, just stop being an ass.
Rodgers is so worried about his image and reputation that he never would have allowed himself to request a trade. Instead, he basically half assed it the last few seasons and likely was miserable in WI. That impacted his play and the fortunes of the team.
The bottom line is he’s a phony and a fraud. I honestly wouldn’t believe anything he says because his actions don’t always follow what he says.
Him trying so damn hard to fit in to Sconnie culture is another example. Just be yourself dude. You don’t seem to have a problem being “real” unless it involves your profession.
I’d be fine with him just being a jerk and owning it.

That wasn't it. They just always messed up the hand signals.
Now he's considering playing five more seasons.
I see that we get an AFC East team in Lambeau next year.
This thread is going to be absolute gold if the Jets roll this year. Can't miss reading material. Even though I still find myself rooting for AR to fail (and I don't care two shits about 65% and all that crap, I just want them to lose), some people's vitriol and hatred for the guy make me want to see him and the Jets dominate this year just to see people lose their shit.
@YATittle posted:Now he's considering playing five more seasons.
He can't be like Brady because he won't play like Brady and take the short pass when it's available.
@titmfatied posted:Skip to 4:14 to get right to the Rodgers interview
Edit: finally listened to this whole thing and it's REALLY good. Talks in depth about the reasons for his jump passes and reveals the nickname he had for MLF.
I bounced around but didn’t hear the MLF nickname. What is it? Flower?
The thread will be gold no matter what. Rodgers did a lot for the GBP franchise but the way he ended things on and off the field left a lot to be desired.
I don’t gamble anymore but if I did my bet would be on the Jets doing relatively well in the regular season and them shitting the bed in the postseason.
I don't plan on watching many Jets games, but will watch Monday night hoping for a Jets loss, with no QB injuries.
I rooted against Favre when he left because the manipulation was evident. It is conjecture whether rodgers wanted to leave. If he was half assing his way to get out of green bay why did he resign the contract. Something else happened. Team wanted to move on for whatever reason.

Uhm, money?
Gute should have told him to fuck off
Yet they didn’t and Rodgers got a crapload of money and actually did a lot less as a leader and on the field. Sweet
Sheesh you guys. Chill out a little. The guy played MVP football for 2 seasons after they drafted Love. If that was the desired effect, it worked! Gute wanted him gone before 2022 but Murphy didn't let it happen. It wasn't just Gutes call.
Favre didn't like TT
Rodgers doesn't like Gutey.
Who Gives AF?!?
In 2037....Love will be pissed off at Gutey or GM at the time to draft his replacement. It's human nature.
I'm rooting for 65%. And whatever happens, happens but I expect Rodgers to play very very well this year nearing MVP level. Let's see if the Jets running game and the Jets defense can carry the team. While Rodgers Chases a 5th MVP!! It will be fascinating to watch
@Dr._Bob posted:Uhm, money?
He would have gotten at least that much from several teams

Rodgers: "...I used to call Lafleur Captain Blood, which was a reference to Mighty Ducks 2 when Emilio Estevez starts training them after games and keeping them there long, and I'd do it because he didn't really like it, you know? It was a reference to like 'Hey, get us out of the building maybe, you know, a little earlier now and then. You're kind of grinding us a little bit.' " shortcut to the segment
Every day goes by we find out more truth.
Tick tock tick tock....

I hope your wrong, but I think that scenario is very possible.
The part we don’t know about Rodgers is if he can stay healthy. If he does, he should have a decent regular season and be disappointing in the playoffs.
Rodgers interviewed by John McEnroe coming up at 11:10 AM EST on ESPN
Edit: not surprisingly it was a short tease for tomorrow nights countdown show where they'll show more of the interview. ESPN ESPNing
You cannot be serious!
Daniel Baehner agrees.
I am really thankful for what Rodgers did for the franchise. He won a Superb Owl and provided us fans with years of memories. But the ending is what sours all those great things. Even before the last two MVPs, it was all about Rodgers and not the team. The hero ball. The covid lie. The podcasts. The tat and psychedelics. The skipping OTAs. The dramatics on the field. The obvious disdain for playing MLF's style. It felt like a giant middle finger to the organization and to its fans after giving him the whopping contract. It was obvious he wasn't giving his best. And now he goes off to NY and attends OTAs, changes his entire physical looks, cuts his salary, etc. Of course, we're going to feel like we've been taken for a ride the past couple of years and then jilted for the "trophy wife."
I really don't care what he does as long as he plays 65% of snaps and doesn't win the Super Bowl.
This is probably getting taken down sooner than later, but here's what they aired of the interview with McEnroe
@Boris posted:In 2037....Love will be pissed off at Gutey or GM at the time to draft his replacement. It's human nature.
Or maybe he will be pissed at the GM and the team president like Rodgers was?
But I don't think he has the Ballz to do that.
Rodgers sticking with "the media tried to silence me but I won't be silenced" BS. Dude cares way too much about the f'n media.
Glad we have a QB now that just wants to play football and not always have some stupid point to prove.
Bart and Cherry….Packer People.
They defined what Packer people are.
Go Bills!!
65%
Hawks beat the Clones
Vikings choked vs the Baker Bucs
Love owned duh Bears
Can we finish off a nearly perfect week of football (fuck off, Lions) and see the Bills beat the shit out of the Jets? With no harm to #8..
