Ok, here’s another useless tidbit that some here think shouldn’t be posted……Jets #8 is at the U S Tennis Open watching two American men go at it, Tommy Paul vs Ben Shelton.

Go at what?

But now Rodgers is disputing Ward’s interpretation of the incident, flat-out calling him a liar.

“I think he’s making (expletive) up,” Rodgers said, via Connor Hughes of SNY.

The problem with Rodgers calling Ward a liar is that cameras are everywhere and the quarterback was mic’d. Both of those captured Rodgers and Cobb joking and laughing in the huddle after the illegal hit, while Cobb’s wife also joked about it in the stands.

Not only did the Jets appear to play dirty and then joke about it, but they’ve lied about it repeatedly in the aftermath.

Ward sure seems like he has a legit beef here.

The NFL fined Cobb $14k for the hit. I guess the league is making up shit too??

Aaron Rodgers brings résumé, leadership style Jets haven’t seen for years

...Lazard said the message from Rodgers can be boiled down to this: “Be on your s–t.”

When Rodgers talks about his leadership style, he often uses the word “intentional.” In Rodgers’ football world, nothing happens accidentally.

“There’s certain guys I like to check in with daily,” Rodgers said. “There’s guys you get to know. There’s times you walk into the cafeteria and just kind of scope it out, like who is sitting where, who is by themselves and who is on their phone, who would be good to sit next to and have a conversation with, who might need it that day. It’s just like a feel thing, trying to be always present.”

Rodgers does not approach every teammate the same way.

“I’m going to be very patient with certain guys and with certain guys we’re going to up the urgency,” he said. “I think you can’t coach or lead each player the same way. Everybody responds differently. I’ve been hugging Mekhi [Becton] every single day. That’s how he responds best. Mecole [Hardman], I can be very direct with him because he wants to do the right thing every time. Garrett [Wilson], there’s a lot of real high-level conversations. I love listening to how he sees things. [Randall Cobb] and Allen have been with me forever so there’s so much unspoken understanding between us. There is patience with the right guys and there’s a little more urgency with the other guys that respond better with a little bit of push.” continue

Aaron Rodgers and I have had a complicated relationship. And it’s not really a relationship. Nor is it very complicated.

I’ve met him once. I’ve never interviewed him, never spoken to him on the phone. In 2016, he called me out for my analysis of issues with the Packers, cautioning the audience to not waste their time reading crap like that. In 2021, I took strong objection to his “I’ve been immunized” word games with reporters.

But that’s all in the past. It’s water under the bridge. Bygone days of days gone by. Currently, I like Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah, I said it. I like this guy who is playing for the Jets.

He’s happy. He’s loose. He loves his teammates. He loves the game. He’s keenly aware that he’s reaching his final football spins around the sun.

Is it an act? At first, I thought he was overdoing it as a middle finger to the Packers’ front office. Now, I think he’s just genuinely pleased with the direction his life and career have taken, and it shows.

Maybe it was the change of scenery. Maybe it was the hours in a dark closet. Whatever, the new Aaron Rodgers is almost as likable as Fred Rogers.

Chris Simms and I discussed the dynamic on Thursday’s PFT Live. Humans can change, grow, and evolve. Rodgers has. Maybe I have, too.

Regardless, I find myself wanting to see him and the Jets do well this year. I know that fans of the Bills, Dolphins, and Patriots might not appreciate that, but I can’t help how I feel.

And I currently feel far differently about Aaron Rodgers than I have in a long time. Of course, he might feel the same way he always has about me. But that’s fine. He’s hardly the first, and hardly the last.

Besides, why is it required that we not like the people who dislike us? This “I’ll be nice to you if and only if you’re nice to me” stuff needs to end. It’s OK to be nice to those who aren’t nice to us back, to like those who don’t like us back.

For now, I like Aaron Rodgers.

Maybe it was something I ate.

Idiotic Vikings fan reporting shit we have always know. He disliked Aaron Rodgers. Likes him now because (checks notes) he is no longer with the Packers.

I mean, what’s next Skip Bayless becoming a Rodgers fan boy?

Hard Knocks is really shining a light on how full of shit and what a phony Rodgers really is.  I’m totally fine with him being an arrogant d-bag because honestly most great QBs are (Elway, Marino, etc) but the chumming it up and playing for the camera seems a bit disingenuous.

I’ve also developed a lot of respect for a guy like Romeo Doubs who likely put up with a lot of unnecessary shit because Rodgers is such an insufferable prick to younger guys or those that he considers not worthy of his attention- which is basically like 90% of the players in the league.

Not saying Gerg Jennings was 100% right but man you watch some 8s antics and how he acts around players and coaches and you can see why some former players or those in the media can’t stand his pompous ass.

What’s going to be really interesting is if the Jets start out slow how Rodgers and that team will handle things because the Jets seem like a bunch of front runners not unlike the idiots in MN.  It’s not like Rodgers has handled adversity very well in his career and no wannabee tough guy rah rah BS from Saleh is going to carry them through because much like that franchise WTF has he done outside of being a solid coordinator?

Greg Jennings AND his sister were 100% correct about Rodgers. We just didn’t want to hear it.

Lots of rumors that he enjoys men going at it. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I don't know about 100%.....but definitely not 0%

Greg Jennings still acted like a little bitch on his way out of Green Bay. At the end, I couldn't tell which one was Greg and which one was his sister.

They were 100% right about 12. He was not 100% right about the Packers.

The animosity and hate some of you dipshits have towards Favre and Rodgers is embarrassing.  30ish years of consistent HOF quarterback play.  JFC

Maybe there's more to it than winning FB games. I doubt anybody is holding Rodgers on the field performance against him, just how he alienated teammates and did weird stuff off the field.

With Favre it's how he made it a point to get to MN and get back at  the Packers and a few of his off the field actions.

Everybody hates Chmura but he wasn't a HOF QB so he doesn't get the same pass you're giving the QBs?

And the poor guys only got paid a half a billion dollars. They suffered so much!

I do. You can’t keep constantly tooting your own horn (e.g. “I won MVP”) then come up small as he did in the latter parts of his career. If you make it all about yourself, to be as great as you claim to be means coming through when it counts.

I’m no Brady fan boy but I do respect how he didn’t admire himself vocally the way Rodgers did and still does. JFC but AR likes to hear himself talk. In the manner of the sovereign deigning to talk to his subjects.

The real question is which X4 member is going to confess to the crime and take the fall for Rodgers.
