Clip from hard knocks starts around 1:00, Rodgers chews out almost everyone, including the coaches for guys fucking up.  Now we finally know what he sounds like when he has his horrible body language.

I love how he basically tells everyone what to do, including the coaches how to coach and run plays, and tells the WR that if something specific happens on a play they should run a different route that what was called, etc.

I get being a leader but it's no wonder things got all convoluted in GB when he's injecting himself into every little thing.

Remember, he also told one of his bosses that he was proud of their growth. I really wish someone's sister had told us earlier what a jackass he is.

I would have told the boss to get that growth checked out by a doctor.

Aaron Rodgers and I have had a complicated relationship. And it’s not really a relationship. Nor is it very complicated.

I’ve met him once. I’ve never interviewed him, never spoken to him on the phone. In 2016, he called me out for my analysis of issues with the Packers, cautioning the audience to not waste their time reading crap like that. In 2021, I took strong objection to his “I’ve been immunized” word games with reporters.

But that’s all in the past. It’s water under the bridge. Bygone days of days gone by. Currently, I like Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah, I said it. I like this guy who is playing for the Jets.

He’s happy. He’s loose. He loves his teammates. He loves the game. He’s keenly aware that he’s reaching his final football spins around the sun.

Is it an act? At first, I thought he was overdoing it as a middle finger to the Packers’ front office. Now, I think he’s just genuinely pleased with the direction his life and career have taken, and it shows.

Maybe it was the change of scenery. Maybe it was the hours in a dark closet. Whatever, the new Aaron Rodgers is almost as likable as Fred Rogers.

Chris Simms and I discussed the dynamic on Thursday’s PFT Live. Humans can change, grow, and evolve. Rodgers has. Maybe I have, too.

Regardless, I find myself wanting to see him and the Jets do well this year. I know that fans of the Bills, Dolphins, and Patriots might not appreciate that, but I can’t help how I feel.

And I currently feel far differently about Aaron Rodgers than I have in a long time. Of course, he might feel the same way he always has about me. But that’s fine. He’s hardly the first, and hardly the last.

Besides, why is it required that we not like the people who dislike us? This “I’ll be nice to you if and only if you’re nice to me” stuff needs to end. It’s OK to be nice to those who aren’t nice to us back, to like those who don’t like us back.

For now, I like Aaron Rodgers.

Maybe it was something I ate.

My neighbor had a pure bread corgi.
She had papers authenticating his genuineness.

Rodgers expects people to believe him because of his stature in the NFL but reactions should be just the opposite..............................................................................

But now Rodgers is disputing Ward’s interpretation of the incident, flat-out calling him a liar.

“I think he’s making (expletive) up,” Rodgers said, via Connor Hughes of SNY.

The problem with Rodgers calling Ward a liar is that cameras are everywhere and the quarterback was mic’d. Both of those captured Rodgers and Cobb joking and laughing in the huddle after the illegal hit, while Cobb’s wife also joked about it in the stands.

Not only did the Jets appear to play dirty and then joke about it, but they’ve lied about it repeatedly in the aftermath.

Ward sure seems like he has a legit beef here.

Im just so glad this is someone else's circus now. Coaches and the FO here just had to be so fucking tired of his act and when Love started to look legit, that's all they needed to see.

Onward and Upward kids.

I can't wait to trade Love to the Jets in 2037 😉

They're (the Jets) are so starved for a winner. I really hope they get what they seek this year.

I think they're going to beat the Bills in game #1. Just a hunch.

Disagree.   I want them to fail miserably.  Like I want all the Eastcoat Sports Promotio favorites to lose.

Mike Florio really is a complete jackass Vikings homer.   What changed?  Not much of anything other than the scenery.

Much like idot Bears fans guys like Viking fanboys (Florio) think the Packers will just fade into the sunset and it’s now OK to root for 12 despite joining a lame and second rate franchise.  Good luck with that.

I used to square off with Florio on the old AOL board 25 years ago. True Viking fan, he was just another fan like we are on this board. But he said he previously produced a TV show and we all thought he was full of shit. The next thing you know he turned the Pro Football Talk site into something his friends in Hollywood liked and got his ass on video.

I mean, what’s next Skip Bayless becoming a Rodgers fan boy?

Hard Knocks is really shining a light on how full of shit and what a phony Rodgers really is.  I’m totally fine with him being an arrogant d-bag because honestly most great QBs are (Elway, Marino, etc) but the chumming it up and playing for the camera seems a bit disingenuous.

I’ve also developed a lot of respect for a guy like Romeo Doubs who likely put up with a lot of unnecessary shit because Rodgers is such an insufferable prick to younger guys or those that he considers not worthy of his attention- which is basically like 90% of the players in the league.

Not saying Gerg Jennings was 100% right but man you watch some 8s antics and how he acts around players and coaches and you can see why some former players or those in the media can’t stand his pompous ass.

What’s going to be really interesting is if the Jets start out slow how Rodgers and that team will handle things because the Jets seem like a bunch of front runners not unlike the idiots in MN.  It’s not like Rodgers has handled adversity very well in his career and no wannabee tough guy rah rah BS from Saleh is going to carry them through because much like that franchise WTF has he done outside of being a solid coordinator?

One other thing - everyone is talking about Buffalo and NYJ but the Dolphins are a real sleeper that might end up winning that division.  Both the Bills and Jets have gotten a ton of attention this offseason and Miami just continues to fly under the radar.   If Tua can stay upright and that team can cut down on the turnovers that’s a really dangerous team.

The Dolphins are a sleeper. In the AFC, so are the Steelers, Chargers and Jacksonville. It's going to be highly competitive over there. Injuries and available playing time will tell the tale.

Wow, @Tschmack lotta hate for ol #8 🤭

I don't see him as that bad. Like when Rodgers released a pass and that Jihad Ward took like 5 steps and stuck a shoulder into Rodgers chest. Dude is trying to make a name for himself off Rodgers. Rodgers reaction cracked me up 😆

You don't get to the level Rodgers is without being an asshole. It's part of the gig.. Brady had it, Elway had it, Marino had it. About the only guy I can think of that didn't have it was Bart Starr. 🙂

If J-Lo turns out the way we all hope he does, he'll have some of that "pompousness" eventually too.

I have spent most of my career working around fighter pilots.  They are meant to be lets say "confident".  Because of this they sometimes can be arrogant pricks too.  However, they are also team players and understand the chain of command.  They understand their place in the mission and do their job well.

I have been annoyed with Rodgers for a while now.  He is confident in his abilities and plays at a high level.  However, he does not respect the chain of command and often puts himself above the mission and the team.  He is a great QB but he is not a leader IMO.  Not anymore anyways.

I’m fine with him being a confident know it all prick.   What really gets on my nerves is he’s a phony.  He’s trying way too hard to portray himself as a regular, relatable football player.  He’s not, and that’s fine.  But he’s one of the least believable athletes I’ve seen.  He spouts off about being the quintessential team guy but his actions and behaviors are all about himself.

Suggesting he was committed to the Packers the last 2-3 years is an absolute joke.   He wasn’t.  Him saying he was going to retire is a bunch of bullshit as well.

If you want to be “real” Aaron how about improving your say do ratio a bit?
