Jihad Ward wasn’t going to let Aaron Rodgers get out of his Jets debut without knowing the Giants were there, too.

Ward, the edgy Giants veteran defensive lineman, gave Rodgers a hard shove to the chest way after the four-time MVP had released a pass to Mecole Hardman on the Jets’ second drive.

Rodgers took exception and shoved Ward back. But the Giants edge rusher kept jawing with about eight Jets players as the official prepared to spot the ball.

Rodgers promptly hit Garrett Wilson on a 14-yard touchdown pass against corner Gemon Green, then Rodgers stepped directly to Ward, knocked helmets with him and trash-talked.  “I kind of bumped into him,” Rodgers said. “Wait for Hard Knocks.” continue

I still think it's like watching an ex move on. Even if the split was amicable, it's difficult to watch them remarry and thrive in a new relationship. Now when it's Favre, you relish when after they move on they get herpes from their new partner.

I don't want AR to get a VD from the Jets, but I don't want him to experience any success either. Sometimes I choose just not to watch.

Some on X4 have been accusing Gutey of giving VD to AR for 3 years now.

The part that’s hard to stomach is he generally looks excited and 100% engaged with the Jets.  He also took a pay cut and made a point to be in camp to get his reps in.

Quite a bit different from the last few seasons in Green Bay.

Oh, I want him to have full blown, pissing red hot razor blades gonorrhea.

Funny. Matt Stanford is going through Arod’s old man phase.

One thing I'd like to see vets and coaches crack down on: use of phones. In the article, Stafford was quoted as saying he used to see guys playing cards and interacting, but now the young guys just grab their phones and disappear into them. If you really want guys to talk to each other and get to know each other, put some rules in place concerning phone use. Make them interact more often on a personal level and actually talk to each other.

It made a huge difference in my classroom when I didn't allow kids to listen to their own music during work time. Every kid jammed in their earbuds and went into their own silent bubble. Instead, I play soft music overhead, but no phone use allowed. After several weeks, the kids noticed that they interacted and discussed more often. They actually liked it better -- except they complained when I played symphonies. (Although, one kid told me he added classical music to his playlist because he thought it helped him study better!)

If you want your locker room to become more cohesive, get them off their phones.

Now, get off my lawn, you young whippersnapper!

12 is a different cat... love him or hate him, he has always expressed his love for the Packer organization and it's fans.  It was time for him to move on... I wish 12 the best and will be tuning into to the Jets' season hoping he does well.

Yea, yea... 65% and all.

The Jets only kept 5 ex-Packers. Notable Jets cuts included backup quarterback Tim Boyle, a former backup with the Packers, as well as ex-Packers receiver Malik Taylor and offensive guard Adam Pankey.
