Their overall defense should be really good, and if Rodgers can continue not turning the ball over they will be in just about any game.  But having an OL that can’t hold up isn’t a good development for an older QB like Rodgers...

I'm going to say he can't.
I saw a bit of a change in 2021 and a lot in 2022 to ARod's invincibility to INTs.
Increased pass rush pressure, especially for older QBs leads to hurried, inaccurate, desperate throws. All it takes is for one of those happen, and the chances for an INT go up. Two or more just about guarantees it.
Add a poor decision to make a particular throw (late over the middle or cross-field throw, into double or even triple coverage, etc.), and things go to hell in a hurry.
I think this was the reason that Loins rookie DB had so much success vs Rodgers.
He basically played center field, waiting for a ball that was underthrown, or a deflection of an overthrown pass, and took advantage of the coverage and/or execution of the play.

Of course, that's nothing new. Poor OL performance leads directly to poor QB play, whether they are a rookie, or a 12-year vet.

But I think this is about where ARod is in his career. Behind a superb OL, he can be tremendously effective; behind a sub-par one he will become the guy who now throws 9-10 INTs in a season instead of 3-4 of seasons past.

They took him off the PUP and hope to have him ready by the opener. Could be fluff and they signed Cook to cover the first couple weeks but didn't want Hall to sit out 1/3 of the season on the PUP.

If Cook lasts that long.  He isn't exactly known for his durability.

He started to hold onto the ball too long wanting to throw the 80-yard touchdown he could hardly ever connect on.  One of the worst deep ball QB's ever.

What?

I’m tempted to post vids of 12 to 87 or 12 to 17 of which there are literally dozens of 40+ yard dimes including scramble plays but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Let me rephrase that.  He wasn't very accurate on bombs, that's what I meant by deep throws.  Love seems to be very accurate on those in the small sample size we've seen.  I often wished that part of AR's game was better,  but that wasn't really his forte.

Rodgers was a great deep ball thrower. People should be aware that deep balls are a pretty low percentage deal. You are going to miss on a good portion of them. Drew Brees is the best deep ball thrower I can think off.

That brings to mind a little bit of human nature. While I am as close to perfect as any being in this forum aside from Fedya, in my life, when I was the recipient of “that look” from either a teacher, coach, teammate or in very rare instances 😀, a wife , it did not help build a good relationship. All those fucking millions and Aaron has not yet figured that out.

You're damn right I'm perfect.

Aaron Rodgers has the look:

He’s widely known as one of the most accurate QBs of all time.

Ok, looking at stats, I was mostly speaking on what I’ve observed.  I never thought he was that great of a drop ball passer in terms of throws 50+ yards, or bombs, as I call them.  Turns out he’s middle of the pack in NFL history.  What brought about this comment in the first place is that from what I’ve seen, JL is much more accurate.

Thanks for looking up the stats. Any chance you could link them?

I’m on mobile, so it’s kind of tough.  Basically, if you’re looking at a long ball as 40+ yards, statistically, he is one of the best.  My original statement was rong.  Just seemed to me, from an observation standpoint, he wasn’t great at connecting on bombs which is w what I was referring to.  And, JL seems to be more accurate with those.  You can bury me on this hill if you like.  Ok, so I like what I’ve seen by JL on those so far.  So sue me.

I just looked up the stats.  Rodgers had a great overall QBR while playing for the Packers.  He hasn't thrown a single regular season touchdown while with the Jets.  The difference is staggering.

Shoot, in 2022 Rodgers introduced us to ayahuasca tea, self-love, "the look", and darkness retreats.
What more could a Packers fan want?

Don't forget the best danged hand signals in the whole danged NFL!

I'll try to help you out here.

I thought you were referring to just last season.  AR threw a lot of hero balls that didn't connect in 2022.

I don't know that Love is looking much better with the deep balls at this point.  I've read/seen him drop a few dimes but also under and overthrow his receivers.  With guys like Watson and Doubs at X and Y, I'm guessing they'll be putting more work into getting those plays tightened up.  We should see more of them completed this year as a result of those two guys being in their second year.

Maybe it was just as case of recent memory taking over, true.  I did go back and look at the stats like I said, and I admit I was rong.  It just seemed that way to me.  Anyhoo, JL looks to have quite the arm, and it looks like he's pretty on target with the deep throws.  I'm just glad to see the progress in JL.

From SI.com:

Aaron Rodgers and State Farm officially ended their endorsement partnership together, terminating what was an 12-year relationship, Kurt Badenhausen of Sportico reports. According to Badenhausen, the two sides walked away after the 2022 NFL season, with their final commercial together airing last January.

“We wish Aaron the best in his future endeavors,” a State Farm spokesperson said, via Badenhausen.

State Farm first signed Rodgers to an endorsement deal in 2011, after Rodgers won his first and only Super Bowl with the Packers, and went onto become one of the most famous endorsement pairs in sports. Rodgers became synonymous with State Farm’s Discount Double Check, incorporating his championship belt celebration into both games and commercials.

According to Badenhausen, Rodgers earned around $3 million per year for over a decade from State Farm, which was one of the most valuable endorsement deals among football players.

In 2021, while Rodgers faced backlash over not getting vaccinated against COVID-19, State Farm stood by Rodgers despite not necessarily agreeing with his opinions.

“Aaron Rodgers has been a great ambassador for our company for much of the past decade,” State Farm said in a statement at the time. “We don’t support some of the statements that he has made, but we respect his right to have his own personal point of view.”

While Rodgers is out, State Farm will be fine as the insurance company has an endorsement deal with Patrick Mahomes. The reigning MVP and two-time Super Bowl champion appears in multiple State Farm commercials alongside State Farm character Jake.
