From Bob McGinn

Joe Philbin has been granted permission by the to interview for the offensive line job with the . Philbin spent 10 yrs. in GB, including 2018 as OC for 12 games and interim HC for four games. Minn looking for permanent replacement for the late Tony Sparano.

"Permanent Replacement"?  In the NFL?

Nothing is permanent.  Not a teams office furniture, playing field, and certainly not a former Packer assistant.  So who wants to break the news to the "retired" but he is still writing, Bob McGinn?  I would bet he isn't permanent either.

I don't think Campen is going anywhere. And key guys like Bakh and Linsley think the world of Campen.  Since Bakh was on the leadership council that Murphy talked about yesterday, his opinion likely holds a lot with Packer brass.

Philbin may feel like the guy who overstays at a party. He might just want to let the new kid and his staff take over without feeling like an Uncle who's in the way of the influx of youthful staff.

The new ST's coordinator is named Brayden. I didn't even have to see his face to know it's another young face on that staff.

If I'm Joe, hell I'd feel like the old guy who accidently walked into a Dance Club thinking it was a wine bar.

This guy?

From NFL.com:

As you might be aware, NFL owners passed a resolution in 2013 stating that teams can avoid mandatory inclusion on Hard Knocks if they fall under any of three exemptions

1) They have a first-year head coach in place
2) They have a playoff berth in the past two seasons
3) They have appeared on Hard Knocks in the past 10 years

I can't imagine any time with an exemption would actually agree to have cameras around their training camp, but I guess they could say yes.

Shit show at AZ. Love it.

Agreed. Kingsbury's situation seems analogous to Chip Kelly - a college hotshot coach unlikely to succeed in the NFL. The big problem is that Chip Kelly was a highly successful college coach - Kingsbury just got fired by Texas Tech after going 16-35 in the Big 12. He managed to go 9-18 in the Big 12 with Patrick Mahomes as his QB.

Good for all these guys, and I'm glad they have work.
Clements seems legit based on experience.
Bevell, I seem to recall, was nothing special against us when he followed Bert to Minny, but became the hot commodity after they went to the NFCCG in 2010. I guess he has cooled down in Seattle.
Whitt is the most interesting hire. There's probably too many of us that want him to fall flat on his face, but we'll find out soon enough if he has a different attitude.
And different results.
