It is baffling that this very definition of mediocrity continues to get employment.

Has coached a handful of Pro Bowl QBs, played the position, worked closely with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Another mentor for Rodgers’ pal, Josh Rosen?

Agreed. Kingsbury's situation seems analogous to Chip Kelly - a college hotshot coach unlikely to succeed in the NFL. The big problem is that Chip Kelly was a highly successful college coach - Kingsbury just got fired by Texas Tech after going 16-35 in the Big 12. He managed to go 9-18 in the Big 12 with Patrick Mahomes as his QB.
I also agree. I am still completely baffled by this hire but it is the Bidwell's calling the shots so you never know what they will do.
No Winston Moss sightings in AZ? MN?
He's going sit out a year, then take the aast HC/DC job on McCarthy's new staff.
Winston Moss should be a HC.... preferably in Minnesota.
Trying to get Getsy back. I agree with this move.
Chiefs fired DC Bob Sutton.

Sutton and Pettine have a history together. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in GB as an assistant.
Source tells me Dom Capers could become strong option for @Bengals as new defensive coordinator if team doesn't hire Dennis Allen away from the @Saints

Bengals need to watch the tape.
I hope he gets the job. It would be interesting to see if he sucks as much at Cincy as he did for most of his years in Green Bay.
If you remember, his D started out strong the 1st year. Then constantly tailed off year after year. And not just the Pack. His previous teams had the same pattern. Solution- keep him a year. Maybe 2. Not any longer.
Dom is a good coach....that doesn't change.
For some reason, young athletes have trouble listening and/or respecting a 70+ year old white guy with a bad rug.....huh....who'd a thunk?
Depends if Cincy has enough pro bowlers on D.
The young Rams and young Pats seem to have no trouble listening to and respecting old guys SonOfBum and BilliyB.
Maybe it's the rug?
Is Pettine old enough?
Saban must take his teams to Chuck E. Cheese often.

I think x4 collectively should start mailing dead varmints to Pettine so he can really command the room.

Agreed. He's a good coach who is a few years past his prime. His 2010 defense was the rock that the Packers won that Super Bowl with. A lot has changed since 2010 though and Dom didn't seem like he was up to the challenge of dealing with all the changes in the league and the newer ways that offenses attack defenses.
2014 D was also good enough to win a SB with.

You're not good enough for me.
Not enough pro bowlers on the roster.
People are to hard on Dom
I'm convinced Bongwater has the equivalent of a Bangladeshi click farm in his basement scouring the web for gifs.
I actually just use "THE CHEESE OF TRUTH"
I mean.
Very similar to The Beard Of Knowledge
Conspiracy cheese.
The #Jaguars are set to hire Dom Capers as a senior defensive assistant on their coaching staff, per source. Strong addition to their staff who will assist DC Todd Wash and get to work with one of the league’s top defenses. 30 years of experience

"Strong addition". That's up for debate.
Dom is fine as a consultant for the ACTUAL DC. Just as long as he isn't "THE" DC.
Times have changed but Dom is an outstanding football coach - that doesn't change.

Disagree.
Figurehead role for Dom.

Yep. In the same way Ted Thompson is now a consultant.
JAX has a ton of talent. Dom will do fine.
So glad Dom is gone.
Dom got a job before Mike.
Dom been out of work longer than Mike. All NFL stink has an expiration date.
