Yeah, I'm sure Shanny is totally content to roll into SF as an OC.  I'm sure he wouldn't be waiting there with a shiv in his hand, only to slam it into Coach Creepy's kidney the second things started to get wobbly.  That's because Shanny is such a man of integrity.

That's quite a well-oiled machine they have there in SF.

We are getting 2 years of Jim Tomsula press conferences and at least 5-6 epic battles between Tomsula and the game clock. He doesn't strike me as someone who's going to manage the last few minutes of games well. Today is a great day.

This should be fun. If Trestman taught me anything. Its to never take these things for granted. They'll be gone before you know it.

I CANNOT stop watching video of Tomsula.  I want my ring tone to just be 30 seconds of him hemming and hawing and garrumphing.  I love that video so much I want to take it behind the school bleachers and get it pregnant.   This guy makes Mike Tice seem like a member of the Algonquin Round Table.  "That's, that's just ludicroust"

So on Sunday Pre-Dawn Gameday Prime Extra on The Ocho this morning, they got a transcript of the meeting where Baalke told York who he was going with.

Jed: "So, Troy what are you thinking for Head Coach?"

Troy "Sir, when you have the opportunity to get an illiterate with absolutely no charm whatsoever, you can't let that opportunity pass you by"

Jed: "So, you want to hire Ray Rhodes?"

Troy "No sir.  Jim Tomsula"

Jed:

They at least won sometimes with Singletary. I'm hoping for more of a Dennis Erickson/Mike Nolan type 2-14 team from the Tomsula 49ers. They messed up bigtime by not getting Kaepernick a QB whisperer who could potentially fix his problems. I was afraid that they'd throw a boatload of money at Holmgren to come on as coach, and that he'd pull a Brett Favre style reclamation project with Kaeperdink. By installing a defensively minded dunce as their new HC, they basically have doomed him. As bad as he was last year, he'll be much, much worse next season.

Fangio had the defensive personnel in SF; I don't think he does in Chicago.

Even if he did have the personnel, perhaps that's exactly what the Packers need to figure out how to bust that defense consistently.
