I am guessing Jarrah probably wanted to take the wait and see approach with Garrett to see how the season turned out before deciding what to do. Since the boys seem to have exceeded expectations this year I'm betting Garrett has earned himself a new deal if he wants it.

As reported by your Rocky Mountain corespondent Back on Dec 30......Fox gone, Del Rio in play in Oakland.

Rex is out of play now bit who knows about Peyton.

I could see Manning jump straight to OC, but HC seems like a giant leap.

I wonder how many of his team mates would want to play for him.  Not saying he would be a bad coach to play for, I really have no idea, but there is something about him that makes me think he would rankle a lot of egos.

I'm telling you, it's kooky time.

Apparently, the situation with Fox as HC became strained the last few weeks as the Broncos regressed going into December...despite winning more than losing...it was the way they were competing on the field as well.

John Fox did not make his it to his Monday Morning radio show on KOA.  One local radio guy said that when asked about getting together for golf in this spring, Fox replied with tongue-in-cheek "if I am still around".  Also, Fox apparently let it slip to Jay Glazer that there was doubt about his return to Denver after this season.  Which angered many folks in Dove Valley at Bronco HQ.  Dave Logan, Broncos play-by-play guy and local talk show mouth, said a high-ranking Bronco front office dude told him that if the team lost their first playoff game "there would be hell-to-pay and heads would roll".

Personally, I think John Fox is not that good of a HC.  He accomplished some things but his teams seemed to underachieve a lot as well.  He got completely out-coached in the last SB too.  And yesterday's loss was another poor coaching job.

As for Peyton Manning, the "wonderful" Bronco fans here have turned on him like a pack of hungry wolves.  Remember, he is a hired gun with no Bronco roots.  You should hear some of the callers on local radio, not to mention the radio hosts.  I also think Manning is wound too tight on football and his obsession to play perfect has become an anchor of pressure and a chain of drudgery.

Despite having a severe thigh bruise resulting in a tear with significant swelling and hematoma, almost everyone of his teammates had no clue he was suffering this injury for the last several weeks.  And if you notice, Peyton Manning rarely seems to have any friends on the field during and after the game.  I think the guy is just too intense and has lost himself in the game.

I expect he will not return to Denver next season.

Can you say "rebuild" in Denver?
