I'm more concerned with Hayward's hammy. Starks, Green, Franklin, Harris can carry the mail while Lacy get's well. Need Hayward on the field in week 1. The defense can't be without the playmakers. Lang is a bit of a concern. Never know what to expect with a back injury.
I am always glad to hear good things about Jolly! He is a guy that likes to play football and he is physically tough and that combination doesn't always arrive in the same player. He likes the mayhem of line play and should eh make the team he will show a lot of folks
Pack88
BTW I agree about Perry, when I think of his high side potential (sack of wilson in Seattle and that picture perfect crush of Andrew Luck) in Indy I can't wait to see him play this year! Did you notice how many "tough guys GB acquired this year! This could be a very physical defense this year1
isn't a big point of the new CBA a limit on pre-season hitting that was supposed to lessen the number of injuries? So .... how's that workin' out for ya?
Should pay close attention to Steelers camp this year. Tomlin is going live tackling in practice.
βWe got young, talented defensive linemen, we got young, talented offensive linemen. The only way to improve is to play football. Iβve stated that many times and itβs something I believe in. Iβm going to give them an opportunity to do that and show what theyβre capable of.β
Going old school in Pitt so we'll see. The saying goes the best way to get hurt is trying not to get hurt.
The injuries seem to be mounting but at some point all teams deal with it. To some extent, I'd rather they deal with this now than midway through the season.
Not worried about Hayward or Cobb or Tramon or Jordy because they know how to play. I am more concerned about Dorsey and Johnson and Lacy because they are the ones that really need the reps. However, someone's going to step up as it seems to be with Starks and Boykin among others.
I think Lacy has had enough practice to know what is going on. It is Dorsey & Johnson who haven't practiced at all - not even in OTAs - that I wonder about. Boykin, Ross, and Walker seemed to have stepped up in TC. They will get a chance to prove they are for real starting tonight.
The issue isn't so much that there are injuries, but where they happen. If AJ Hawk goes down then replacing one of two ILBs (who's maybe solid, but nothing special and doesn't play in the dime) is a lot different than replacing your QB blind-side protector.

Just based on Family night (streaming video), I have been more impressed by Walker and Gillette (after all, "the best a man can be!") than Boykin and Ross. Looking forward to seeing tonight replay on NFL network of the Cardinals game to see what each of them can do.
How do we know? If it doesn't involve a stretcher or 6 wheeler?
I am too. I haven't seen any of them in a video or live yet this year.
From Monday practice report:
Returning to practice were RB DuJuan Harris and WR Randall Cobb. DE-LB Mike Neal participated in team drills for the first time.
T Derek Sherrod progressed enough to perform some individual drills Monday with position coach James Campen.
β After a strong showing against Arizona, DE Mike Daniels was the first sub off the bench in the base 3-4 behind starters B.J. Raji, Ryan Pickett and C.J. Wilson.
β M.D. Jennings began the week as the No. 1 strong safety over Jerron McMillian.

Cobb is holding that right arm after every play but he's still out there and still catching balls

Cobb finished the practice but seemed to be favoring that injured bicep

I'm no doctor, but Cobb looks like he's clearly in pain with that right biceps. Had wrapped, holding against body and seems to be wincing.
Maybe time to let him rest that arm up for a week or two.
maybe he just needs to stop being such a pussy.

Buck Cherry with good footwork on the beast https://vine.co/v/hMMI37g6XtM
Would rather let him heal up over the next two weeks (if needed) as opposed to forcing things and end up being limited weeks 1 and 2. Nothing gained. Especially if Jordy ends up missing time early.

The Steelers one is awesome, especially in the comments section.

It's like the Saints never happened. It's also a precursor to the "Mile Austin is broke" story that will happen in a few years.

I recommend yesterday's report about the Lions solely for that all caps email that they posted. Legendary.
Ok, the Lions CAP e-mail is an all timer.
Classic rant on the Lions, must be tough to still be a lionfan
I'm not 100% certain, but I believe the Deadspin writer, Drew Magary is a vikings fan so we can expect a fine entry for the Mighty Green Bay Packers
He is. Since the Vikings are up tomorrow, look for the Packers to be on Thursday.
Thx Rusty
Drew used to post on this gawdawful viking board a long time ago....total POS

TT on Johnny Jolly: He's doing fine. Like he's always been, he's very much a football guy... He loves to play, he loves to practice.

Never been a fan of that song. I believe the song was originally "Let's Get Retarded"
Little known fact.

Every time the #Packers offense is up in 11-on-11 vs. scout team D, Barclay has gotten the first rep at right tackle today.

No worries. As FS said, little known fact.

DEVELOPING: Tom Brady leaves Patriots practice with an injured knee. Doctors are examining him now. (via @MikeReiss)
Sounds like he threw an incomplete pass, went down, stayed down holding his left knee.
