Cousins out with Covid
Sources: #Vikings QB Kirk Cousins is going on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and is out for Sunday nightβs game against the #Packers.

Who are you asking this question too?
SK-lol
Expect Cook and Mattison and Barry better be prepared. Who is the Viking's backup QB?
I guess the plexiglass method didnβt work
Nevermind, they signed this guy.
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will miss Sunday nightβs game against the Packers.
According to multiple reports, Cousins has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be on the COVID-19 reserve list.
Cousins is unvaccinated, and even though the NFL recently changed its COVID-19 protocols to make it easier for unvaccinated players to return faster, he wonβt be able to get back on the field for the Packers game, which is less than 36 hours away.
The Vikings also have backup quarterback Sean Mannion on the COVID-19 reserve list, although itβs possible that Mannion, who went on the list five days ago, could be back by Sunday. If not, rookie Kellen Mond is the next man up, and Kyle Sloter is the other quarterback on the roster in Minnesota.
The 7-8 Vikings are in a fight for their playoff lives, while the 12-3 Packers are trying to earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC. This is bad news in Minnesota and welcome news in Green Bay.
This actually plays into Zim Zams plansβ¦they were likely going to lose and miss the playoffs anywayβ¦now he has a seemingly legit excuse.
ESPN reports that Cousins is out for the Packer-viking game. Cousins has Covid and is not vaccinated. Mannion is also out with Covid. Minnesota's QB may be Kellen Mond on Sunday night.
If the Eagles win on Sunday, Minnesota will be out of contention for a wild card spot before kickoff.
Looks like weβre gonna see the Vikes at full strength
At least it won't be smowing
The #Vikings have officially placed QB Kirk Cousins on the COVID-19 reserve list and activated QB Sean Mannion off it. Mannion is expected to start on Sunday night.

Backup guy is on the covid list but has a chance to come back. The rookie 3rd string kid, Kellen Mond, might be a close-contact with Cousins and be out as well.
This is good stuff.
Mannion it is...
Sean Mannion is 6'6", 230 lbs. In seven seasons he has 0 TD passes and 3 picks. He's rushed for a total of -17 yards and has 4 fumbles.
Pedmo's 474 days since the Packers beat the Vikings shtick in Jeopardy!
Get ready for Dalvin Cook, Dalvin Cook and more Dalvin Cook.
I want one more Rasul Douglas Pick Six.
Bring the safeties up and stack the line of scrimmage. Sean Mannion isn't beating GB.
Throw your dagger BK!
Line for the game shot up to 14.5
Packers need to do what teams attempt to do with the Badgers- stop the run and make the QB beat you with his arm. Playoffs running through Lambeau is just there for the taking....
Zim gonna put this game on the OL and Cook.
What's Christian Ponder up to these days?
Joe Webb anyone?
Joe Momma?
@BrainDed posted:I guess the vaccination method didnβt work for the hundred or so players out this week either.
It may have for the other approx 1500 players and numerous team employees they associate with daily.
I kind of want to see Kellen Love play. I'm curious.

Does it really matter? Read between the lines.
Cousins is having a really good year, so not having him is definitely a loss for the Vikings offense. But the Packers are still gonna need to play a solid game in all three facets. The Packers have a history of letting chump QBs and RBs have career games against them.
Hopefully Cousins' symptoms remain mild and he recovers. If it's the Omicron variant even better.
For the game, hopefully we can stop the run. If we don't, this game will still be a shootout.
@TomSilverstein: LaFleur said he had a couple guys come back from COVID-19 list: S Henry Black, OLB Tipa Galeai and OLB La'Darius Hamilton and had no one else test positive.
