He does realize that, but at this point in his career, he's looking for his last big payday. He's already won, so now he's going for the money most likely.

I'm not upset at the guy, he did good things here and he didn't leave with any animosity IMO.

he's the one who has to play for that crappy team now, while we are fans of the Pack. I think we come out on top in that regard
How many worst rivals try to slog up every scrap that's dangling off their nemesis's table?

I think Greg still has some good football in him, but I think he's not meant to take the amount of work he's about to get at this stage of his career.

As for the Packers Boykin and Ross are the latest in the long string of bottom roster guys that are touted as exceptional. I have a great deal of skepticism that they'll be replacing anything 85 could do on the field any time soon, if ever. That second and third round this year might be real interesting though. The Packers don't mess around with a weak depth chart at WR and TE. Someone's coming in this year.

I wouldn't mind shifting whatever funds were slated towards Jennings at making a move on Dumervil.

@Jeff_Legwold: Dumervil's release gives #Broncos huge dead money hit. Limits ability to bring him back with a "new'' deal

Had the road rage thing last year but it sure would be nice for Clay to not have to carry such a load every single game. It's readily apparent that the safety opposite Burnett is still going to be developing this year and who knows what kind of contribution they'll get from Tramon. That side of the defense is badly in need of a veteran who can perform. Dumervil might not be the ideal guy but he's far and away the best available option at the present moment and would be a tremendous boost to the defense. Players of his ability do not come free often.

Perry is still a huge question mark. Never a good thing when a coach starts talking about effort. A full year of work behind a guy who knows what he's doing might not be the worst thing for him and may allow him to focus on mastering one part of his role without having to learn everything at once.
It may be another 15-30 years before the GBP wins another SB, who knows? Minny might win the next 3 (pigs might crap midget hookers also). In the end, Jennings obviously didn't care to stay in GB all that much, with a small contractual difference steering him to one of the most pretentious, history-poor franchises in all of professional sports. I thank him for the past, but do not care a lick what he achieves from here on out. Actually, I do- I want him to play poorly, or at least want Ponder/Cassell/Webb/future washout QBs to play like they are capable of- poorly. This would only help the Packers. The talk that going to a contender was a big thing to him makes him the biggest phony next to Brent. Yes, Craig, we miss you so much already.
The queens just improved themselves with a legit number 1 WR.

The queens were a thorn in GB's side without a #1 WR. Harvin is talented but does not fit the mold of a #1 WR but is dangerous and a threat to score from anywhere. So I feel that the queens are now a better offense w/All Day and a legit deep threat.

Queens are tough in the trenches, have some cap room and some draft picks this year so dont dismiss the Lombardi Trophy less queens just yet.

I do agree a top flight safety or a good pass rusher would be money well spent.
But I do know TT is a draft and develop type GM.

Your post makes little sense.

Its... its really become pathetic on how the queens just have to have our leftovers. It was brought up earlier, what team or 'rivalry' really has this happening continually.

Any statement about 'look at AP and he doesn't regress' or other half-cocked arguments are beyond ludicrous.

Being a resident behind the purple curtain, I almost see this as the Vikings HAD to sign Cassel to even have a chance at gerg. So they pay gerg obscene money to join them... Good!

Facts are facts. We already have the talant on the roster to have folks catch balls. And catch them well. I don't blame him for going for the money. He has the ring, now he needs the coin. I have no agnst against this nor care what he says.

If anything, as Chilli alluded, he cracked open the hate tank.

Gebbins.

I sure seems that way but who else? The only other one I can think of is the immortal Jeff Brady. You could add 50-60 900 but he never played in a regular season game and since I've been told Gilbert Brown can't be considered an ex-Viking since he didn't play in a regular season game, 50-60 900 can't either because he didn't for the Purple.
β€œIt’s a business, and this has happened before,” Jennings said. β€œI’m not the first Packer player to jump on this side. That makes it a little more relieving. But it will be exciting (to play the Packers). It will be business as usual. It will be a little more meaningful to get a win over those guys than anybody (else) on the schedule.”

What a jerk. He's mad at the Packers for offering him more money than he's making now and then for not leaving the same deal on the table after he turns them down and hits the market?
Jennings was a really good Packer. He isn't "Old" at 30. But, to Green Bay he isn't worth that cash. To Minny he is, they need leaders, receivers and guys who know how to win. Greg has an ego, wanting to be the man, not happening in Green Bay or Minnesota. So good luck Greg. Now lets look at Minnesota. They have signed 4 Packer stars over the years. How many rings do they have? Exactly. Let them sign our players when we are only interested at a price or not at all.
Jennings is a great receiver who will have 2 very good seasons and then really begin to tail off..We have holes in this roster but WR is not one of them, I think you dodge a bullet by not giving big money to this guy at the end of his career....and maybe this is a big fat rationalization...but receivers are a dime a dozen, or at least the easiest position to replace..Cobb replaces Jennings, Boykin moves up and a 3rd thru 5th rounder comes in and and plays so well that TT again looks like one them geniuses.
Ok,that didn't work! Time to figure out how to post an image after all these years...

When linking a FB photo you don't copy the URL addy line, instead right click on the image and select Copy image URL and use that inside the [ img ] [/ img ] brackets.

Thanks! As you can see from my post count, with all my experience it is astounding I haven't figured hat out before :-)
